This is accomplished by the design of a lamp. The LED chip transfers the heat to the metal surface and the hot air near that metal rises and starts a flow through channels designed into the lamp. The vortex tube provides superheated vapor to a turbine for generating electricity burning 50% less fossil fuel, also releasing 50% less carbon emissions to the environment. The vortex tube extends the efficient Rankine Cycle temperature range well below 150° F. with the proper refrigerant choice. The physical size and function of the hearing equipment is reduced. Abstract: A method predicts an amount of wear that is expected to occur on the tubes of a steam generator as a result of vibration against another structure within the steam generator. The method includes determining a volumetric amount of material that has been worn from a location on a tube over a duration of time and employing that volume as a function of time to determine the volume of material of the tube wall that is predicted to be worn from the tube or another tube at a future time. The volumetric-based analysis enables more accurately prediction of the wear depth at a future time. This enables the plugging of only those tubes that are determined from a volumetric analysis to be in risk of breach at the future time, thus slowing the rate at which tubes of a steam generator will be plugged.

Abstract: The present invention materially enhances the quality of the environment and mankind by contributing to the restoration or maintenance of the basic life-sustaining natural elements. The present invention reduces the amount of carbon monoxide introduced to the atmosphere of a combustion system. This is achieved by furnishing a systems approach to optimize the amount of oxygen to be chemically combined with fuel upon ignition of both allowing the correct amount of carbon to combine with the correct amount of oxygen thus fully release the thermal energy stored therein. By so furnishing the level of oxygen with carbon of the fuel, more carbon dioxide is produced thus proportionally reduces the amount of carbon monoxide released to the atmosphere. The present invention provides a heating system that surpasses the net and gross efficiency performance of a natural gas burner.

Abstract: A propane burner assembly is provided for producing a fast cook-off environment. The burner assembly includes a frame, parallel delivery pipes, a pair of manifolds with a corresponding pair of feed lines, a supply line, a fuel reservoir, a valve and an igniter pilot. The frame geometrically defines a platform region with a plurality of corners. The frame includes at least two opposite sides. The delivery pipes are supported by the frame. Each delivery pipe has a plurality of orifices. The manifold pair supplies propane to the delivery pipes. The manifolds are respectively disposed adjacent the two opposite sides. The feed lines transport propane to the manifolds. The fuel reservoir stores the propane. The supply line delivers propane from the fuel reservoir to the feed lines. The valve controls delivery of propane to the feed lines. The igniter pilot initiates combustion. Activating the valve enables propane to eject through the orifices to propagate combustion within the frame.

Abstract: A system for combusting particulate solids comprises a hopper, a furnace and a secondary afterburner. The furnace further comprises at least one exothermic continuous reaction vessel (ECRV) that has a volume that is significantly smaller than the volume of the furnace, which operates at a temperature that is higher than the temperature in the remainder of the furnace, the temperature being high enough to auto-ignite the particulates when they enter the ECRV. The ECRV rotates in unison with a conveyor that delivers the solid particulates from a hopper. The apparatus is energy efficient, with few working parts, and provides combusted particulate solids that can be disposed of directly without environmental concerns.

Abstract: A gas turbine engine combustor is described which includes outer and inner annular combustor liners formed of sheet metal. The exit duct circumscribes an annular combustor exit and defines a combustion gas path. The exit duct includes a large exit duct having an annular forged metal section which is butt welded at an upstream end to the outer combustor liner to form a first annular joint. The annular forged metal section is fixed at a downstream end to an annular sheet metal wall to form a second annular joint. Methods of forming and of repairing a gas turbine engine combustor are also disclosed.

Abstract: A covering part for a combustion chamber of a gas turbine is configured and provided to guide a fluid flow downstream of a diffuser of the gas turbine at least partially into a flow area outside of a combustion space of the combustion chamber so as to cool a combustion chamber wall that delimits the combustion space and has at least one mounting edge at which at least one attachment site is provided for fixating the covering part at the combustion chamber wall by means of a separate attachment element. At least one guiding element is provided at the covering part in the area of the mounting edge, which during operation of the gas turbine guides the partial flow of the fluid flow to be guided in the direction of the flow area over and above a part of the attachment element that protrudes from the mounting edge.

A louvered top rotates freely atop the central support shaft, and a rounded decorative shell hangs from the louvered top, surrounding the burn pan. The rounded decorative shall has a decorative design formed by removing material from the lateral surface of the rounded decorative shell, projecting an illuminated scene when a fire is started in the burn pan. The rising heat from the fire strikes the louvers of the louvered top, causing the rounded decorative shell to rotate, displaying the decorative design.
