Abstract: A power-brush apparatus has a housing and a brush rotatable on the housing about a brush axis and having bristles extending generally radially of the axis and having tips defining on rotation of the brush a circular orbit centered on the axis. The tips are engageable at a location with a workpiece surface. In accordance with the invention a blocking element is positioned radially inside the orbit immediately upstream from the location in a normal rotation direction of the brush. A drive rotates the brush in a working direction about the axis relative to the housing at a predetermined angular speed in the direction and thereby orbits the tips of the bristles about the axis such that the bristles engage the blocking element, are slowed thereby, and when released thereby snap back to accelerate forward and strike the workpiece at an augmented speed.

Abstract: The present apparatus relates generally to a height adjustable support tray apparatus and accessories, and more particularly to an improved height adjustable support tray apparatus to provide a portable working surface. Particularly the instant apparatus includes a unique attaching section which securely attaches the instant apparatus to the selected support structure. The instant apparatus, when attached to the applicable support structure, provides a broadly useable working surface on which to support various items. The instant apparatus includes a variety of repositioning elements thereby allowing users a multitude of adjustments of the angle and position of the working surface. The instant apparatus also includes support elements which greatly increases the load carrying capacity of the working surface over minimally supported or non-supported working services.

In particular, it relates to framework support systems of the non-penetrative type particularly used for supporting heating and ventilating apparatus and other service and plant apparatus on a roof of a building. The application describes a support (10) for a modular framework system, the support comprising a planar foot (11) comprising a socket (12) having a substantially rectangular cross-section with a long axis and a short axis. The socket has a base and an opening. The socket is provided with one or more elongate ribs (25) between the base and the opening and extending into the socket. The socket further comprises a projection (20) extending upwardly from the base, the projection having a spine (21) aligned with the long axis of the socket. Preferably, each rib (25) has a stepped configuration such that an operatively lower portion of the rib extends further into the socket than an operatively upper portion of the rib.

Abstract: A weight distributing chair stabilizing device for use in stabilizing a chair having at least a pair of spaced apart support members includes a plurality of stabilizing members, each having a planar bottom side configured to engage a ground surface and an opposed top side configured to receive a respective support member of the chair. The top side of each stabilizing member defines a linear channel extending between opposed peripheral edges of the top side, the channel being configured to selectively receive a respective chair support member therein. The stabilizing members may be a set of four circular discs although stabilizing members having other shape configurations would also work. When equally spaced apart on a ground surface, the support members of the chair may be positioned thereon and, as a result, the weight of the chair is equally distributed so as to stabilize the chair even on soft ground.

Abstract: A compact collapsible camping chair includes upper tubes, leg tubes, a molded central tube connector and a seat back. The tube connector is molded from aluminum, zinc or plastic reinforced with glass fiber. Lower ends of the upper tubes fit snugly into circular upper holes in the central tube connector, and upper ends of the leg tubes fit snugly into circular lower holes in the central tube connector. Upper ends of the upper tubes fit into tube receptacles in the seat back. The two longer upper tubes are bent, whereas the two shorter upper tubes are straight. Elastic cords pass from the upper tubes, through the tube connector and into the leg tubes and tend to pull the tubes into the holes in central tube connector. The upper tubes, leg tubes, central tube connector and seat back can be placed in a bag that is less than one foot long.

The bridge covers a head portion of the bed, while a foot portion of the bed is left open for inserting and removing the infant. The bridge prevents pillows and blankets from covering the bed and infant. The infant sleep pod also includes electronics for monitoring the sleep pod. The electronics include a sensor unit in the bridge and a control unit in communication with the sensor unit. The control unit and sensor unit are operable to detect unsafe conditions and, in response, generate alerts.

Abstract: A method for demonstrating a domestic appliance, the domestic appliance having a controller, a display, and at least one user input component, the method comprising: displaying a plurality of images in accordance with a predetermined order on the display; while displaying a first image of the plurality of images in accordance with the predetermined order on the display, detecting at least one user input that is provided to the at least one user input component; responsive to the at least one user input, displaying a second image of the plurality of images that is associated with the at least one user input on the display for an amount of time; and subsequent to the amount of time, displaying the plurality of images on the display in accordance with the predetermined order resuming with a third image, said second image being different from said first image and said third image.

Abstract: Improved methods and devices for performing an endoscopic surgery are provided. Systems are taught for operatively treating gastrointestinal disorders endoscopically in a stable, yet dynamic operative environment, and in a minimally-invasive manner. Such systems include, for example, an endoscopic surgical suite. The surgical suite can have a reversibly-expandable retractor that expands to provide a stable, operative environment within a subject. The expansion can be asymmetric around a stabilizer subsystem to maximize space for a tool and an endoscope to each be maneuvered independently to visualize a target tissue and treat the target tissue from outside the patient in a minimally invasive manner.
