Abstract: An aquarium with a flexible side wall includes a support arrangement. The support arrangement can include a lower support that serves as a base and an upper support capturing an upper edge of the flexible side wall to distribute forces applied to the upper edge of flexible side wall so that a force applied to a discrete location to the side wall is distributed across a relatively larger portion of the side wall than at the discrete location for preventing localized buckling of the side wall preventing spilling. The support arrangement includes an upper support formed of a ring and a ring-shaped insert received in a cavity of the ring providing opposing support surfaces engaging an upper portion of the flexible side wall. In a preferred embodiment, the ring and ring-shaped insert nest to clamp part of the side wall therebetween.

Abstract: A fish hook of generally conventional design with the unique features of having a point section of a pyramidal shape with a triangular cross-section. The three sides of the point section are either flat-sided or slightly concave facets extending from the point to the base of the point section. The hook has at least three barbs of different sizes with at least one barb on each edge of the cross-section. The smallest barb is near the point, and the barbs increase in size in increments down to the largest (conventional) barb at the base of the point section. The barb positions rotate sequentially in 120 degree increments around the axis of the point section from the top barb near the point to the bottom barb at the base of the point section. This multiple barb arrangement and the cutting edges of the facets results in increased and more secure hookups.

Abstract: A fishing device provided is configurable as a teaser that can simulate a live fish. A hookless teaser provided is configurable in various shapes and sizes to effectively attract a desired fish. More particularly, a fishing device is provided including a first portion, a second portion, and a flexible portion. The flexible portion may be received by and operatively attached to the first and second portions. The flexible portion may facilitate reorienting the second portion with relation the first portion to simulate swimming. The first portion may be configured to simulate a head of a fish and the second portion may be configured to simulate a tail of the fish. A loop near the central second portion end may interact with water to reorient the second portion. A method is provided for using the fishing device.

Abstract: Disclosed is a hollow plastic fishing weight comprising three separate bodies, which include a hemispherical body, a tapered cylindrical body and a concave lid. All three bodies are glued together to form a single piece of the hollow plastic fishing weight. An eye is attached on the hemispherical body and the concave lid at both ends of the fishing weight. A lead weight is placed inside the fishing weight that makes the lower part of the fishing weight heavier than the top part. A plurality of pellets are placed inside the fishing weight that produce sound to attract fish towards bait.

Abstract: An apparatus for deterring flies by reversing their flight path has a transparent container that includes a plurality of outwardly facing planar surfaces. A liquid, preferably water, is disposed in the container. A penny or similar planar object formed of copper is preferably secured at each outwardly facing planar surface. Planar objects formed of a material other than copper or having a different color, shape, or varying degree of reflectivity can be used instead of or along with the penny. A hook or other means for hanging the container is provided. An optional battery or AC powered motor may be included to rotate the device around a center vertical axis. A less expensive version that is formed of a flexible transparent plastic container is also shown and described. The containers are either filled with liquid and sealed or are fillable by the user.

In particular, the container may be a waste basket, and the targeted insects may be bed bugs, and/or roaches, and/or ants. The assembly has a container portion and a base portion. The interior of the base portion is accessible by insects via one or more small gaps or openings, and contains the trapping and/or poisoning elements, which may include a replaceable glue strip or the like. Preferably, the assembly is also be provided with insect attracting means, which may include chemical attractants, carbon dioxide generation, and/or heat. In some embodiments, separate areas may be provided to combat different insects.

And, a method for positioning a trap for trapping a fur bearing animal, the method using the article of manufacture provided the trap has a tang, by the steps of: (a) positioning the article of manufacture to an object; and (b) inserting said tang into one of the elongated apertures of the article. If the trap does not have a tang, but does have a coil spring, then a clip having a tang can be inserted into the spring to adapt the trap for positioning according to the method of the instant invention.

The invention capitalizes on the link between many animals' ability to see ultraviolet light with their desire to visualize urine territory markers left by other animals of the same species.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to methods of making a coffee products containing cannabinoids that are extracted from Cannabis plant. According to one embodiment, the method includes the steps of (a) extracting cannabinoids from Cannabis plant; and (b) admixing the cannabinoids into a coffee product. The disclosed methods produce coffee products that possesses the benefits of both coffee and Cannabis plant. The methods can be used to produce different coffee products including single-serve coffee pods, ground coffee, and espresso.
