Abstract: A shoe that includes a shoe sole having a medial side and a lateral side, a top insole surface for placement of the foot sole and toes thereon and a bottom outsole surface. The shoe sole has a plurality of toe extensions projecting below the toes. Each toe extension is configured to support and retain at least one toe. Preferably there are five toe extensions, one for each toe. A shoe upper overlays the arch region, is attached to the lateral side and the medial side of the shoe sole and extends toward the toes. The upper is joined to the insole of each toe extension to partially encircle the toe(s) supported and retained on such toe extension, and leaving at least the front region of all the toes exposed.

Abstract: An apparatus including a retaining device and a plurality of flexible memory spike devices for golf. The retaining device may be adapted to be temporarily attached to a shoe. The retaining device may be adapted so that the plurality of spike devices can be attached or detached from the retaining device. The retaining device may be made of an elastomeric material. The retaining device may have a plurality of openings, and each of the plurality of spike devices can be at least partially inserted into a corresponding one of the plurality of openings to attach each of the plurality of spike devices to the retaining device.

Abstract: A method of making a skate boot including manufacturing a rear element including a tendon guard for covering at least a rear portion of the ankle received within the boot, and forming a direct connection at a fixed position between contacting portions of the rear element and of a remainder of the skate boot separately from the quarters, the direct connection being formed such that the rear element is an external element of the boot and such that an upper portion of the rear element is displaceable relative to the quarters in a forward and rearward direction, the upper portion of the rear element being displaceable through flexing of the rear element about the connection.

Abstract: A stability system is formed from a support wedge having a bottom, an inner surface and an outer surface and a bottom platform connected to the bottom of the support wedge and extending past the inner surface to create a space for receiving a bottom of the shoe. There are attachment devices connected to the support wedge and bottom platform for connecting the stability system to a shoe. The support wedge is formed from an elastic material that compresses to a predetermined degree upon application of a downward force, such that the stability system exerts increasing resistance as the downward force increases.

Abstract: Methods and systems relating to an ankle and foot support system are disclosed. In some embodiments, a covering having a cable tightening mechanism may be associated with a cable that is slidably engaged with the cover. Abstract: An article of footwear has a molded outsole which contains a resilient midsole located in the cavity of the outsole and a footbed cover which has a stretch material layer affixed to the outsole and provides a stretch zone. The stretch zone allows the footbed cover to work in conjunction with the resilient midsole to absorb shock upon heel strike or other compression of the midsole to increase comfort. Preferably, the midsole has sections of different hardness in the heel area and the forefoot area.

Abstract: A stability and comfort system for an article of footwear is disclosed. The stability and comfort system includes a bootie and a sock liner. The sock liner may include a heel counter that is contoured to fit a heel. The sole of the article may include an outrigger portion. The outrigger portion can be separated from a central portion of the sole to allow the outrigger portion to move substantially independently of the central portion of the sole.

Abstract: A footwear component and a method of making the footwear component are disclosed. The footwear component includes a first portion and a second portion that are joined at a transition zone. The first portion and the second portion have different flexibility characteristics. The footwear component can bend at the transition zone to accommodate the natural bending of a foot. The method can include removing material from a preformed member and applying layers of different materials to form a component with different properties in different regions.

Abstract: An article of footwear including an upper having a sleeve and a support cage that is free floating relative to the sleeve so that the footwear can accommodate a plurality of foot shapes regardless of whether the foot shapes remain static or dynamically change during a gait cycle within the footwear. The sleeve can be included in a midfoot section extending from a medial side of the footwear, across the top of a wearer's forefoot, to a lateral side of the footwear. A toe section including a breathable material can be joined with and forward of the midfoot section. The support cage can be constructed from a laminate including at least two layers, such as a structural exterior layer, an intermediate elastic layer and/or a reinforcement interior layer, optionally all fused together, to provide the cage with multiple functional attributes, such as structural stability, elasticity and/or reinforcement.

Abstract: A system for securing shoes to the feet utilizing a one or two pull fit adjustment set of straps. The embodiments utilize a number of straps, some variable in length, positioned at select points across and around the top and sides of the shoe. At least one strap in the system provides an adjustable length whereby all straps may be drawn together to tighten the shoe, preferably in both a horizontal and a vertical direction across the profile of the shoe. The system utilizes a variety of strong, lightweight, nylon buckles, strips, anchor loops, permitting attachment and motion of the adjustment straps over the top and sides of the shoe. Included are three-point attachment embodiments, as well as two-point attachment embodiments, most with a one pull adjustment structure. Most embodiments are on the medial side of the shoe although some may be implemented on the lateral side.

Abstract: Automated painting of a shoe sole portion is enhanced by use of a mask cover and an air knife with a paint assembly. The mask cover is positioned in front of a paint-emitting portion of a spray nozzle and is adapted to obstruct at least a portion of the paint intended to be emitted by the spray nozzle. The air knife is coupled to the mask cover and is adapted to emit a laminar fluid flow over the mask cover. The laminar fluid flow helps to limit unwanted diffusion of the paint as it passes along its intended spray path.

Each clamping unit has a clamping base, a bottom clamping unit, a top clamping unit, a clamping space, and a depth adjusting unit. The top clamping unit is mounted on the clamping base and has a top clamping surface. The clamping space is formed between the top clamping surface and the bottom clamping surface. Abstract: A toe-cap molding machine has a body, a clamping device and a shoe-tree mount. The body has a base panel, a connecting mount, a clamping cylinder and a shoe-tree cylinder. The clamping device is detachably connected to the body and has two quick-release groups and a mold group. The quick-release groups are securely mounted on the assembling panel, and each has a quick-release mount, a clamping mount and a first spring. The quick-release mount has a releasing hole, a holding pin and a mounting recess. The clamping mount is pressably connected to the quick-release mount and has an engaging block, an elongated hole and an engaging head. The mold group is connected to the quick-release groups and the assembling panel and has two guiding shaft, a limiting panel, two second springs and a clamping mold. The shoe-tree mount is detachably connected to the shoe-tree cylinder below the clamping device.

Abstract: A closure or fastener is provided for apparel, shoes, equipment, and other applications. The closure may have a female component having a receiving area and a male component having a locking portion. Either or both the male component and female component may have a notched appearance to provide additional flexibility and comfort to the closure. Flanges on the male components and the female components may facilitate off-registration engagement of the closure system. Textures present or absent in the closure system may permit or prevent sliding by the male components and female components when the closure is engaged.

Abstract: A conventional zipper is the preferred means for closure of many jackets and other outerwear. Conventional zippers are prone to jamming and snagging due to the introduction of the liner into the slider body as the zipper is opened and closed. Embodiments herein provide modified slider bodies with one or more features such as an elongated spring cap, a protrusion on the bottom plate and/or plate coupler of the slider body, and/or vertically offset side rails. These features may minimize introduction of loose fabric, such as the lining of a lined garment, into the tape slot of the slider body, thereby help reduce jamming of the slider body during operation of the slide fastener.

Abstract: A lower stop assembly for slide fasteners comprises a left stop member and a right stop member. The inside of the right stop member is provided with a right slot and an annular orifice both extending in the direction of the inside, the annular orifice being located at the front end of the right slot and in direct communication with an opening of the right slot. The left stop member can be movably inserted into the opening of the right slot and then released from lateral notches of the right slot. As the left stop member can be released from the lateral notches of the right slot, when the left stop member needs to retreat from the right slot, the left stop member may rotate around the outer lateral wall of the annular orifice under the drive of the left slide fastener belt to come out from the right slot.

Abstract: An apparatus for carrying foldable footwear that comprises a drawstring pouch having a side pocket that reversibly adjusts between undrawn and drawn states. When undrawn, the pouch is characterized by an opening at the top of the pouch that is dimensioned and configured for receiving a pair of foldable shoes in an interior of the pouch. When drawn, the pouch is characterized by a drawstring arranged on the upper portion sealing off the opening, thereby concealing the interior of the pouch. The apparatus further comprises a collapsible tote bag removably inserted in the side pocket, where the tote bag is configured to reversibly convert between unfolded and folded states. When unfolded, the tote bag is characterized by an interior portion that receives a pair of unfolded shoes, where the interior portion further includes a storage pocket. When folded, the tote bag is completely contained within the second pocket.

Abstract: A fishing rod holder assembly for securing, transporting and dispensing a plurality of fishing rods is disclosed. The invention herein provides a convenient way to secure, transport and dispense fishing rods from a vehicle such as a pickup truck. The fishing rod holder rotates and tilts the fishing rods to a stowed position to prevent the fishing rods from being bounced around and becoming damaged, especially during transport. The invention lowers the fishing rods to a horizontal position during transport to prevent possible damage to the expensive fishing rods as a result of their sticking up above the profile of a pickup truck and being exposed to the high velocity air when traveling at expressway speeds or becoming entangled with low hanging vegetation or other obstacles while driving down a road.

Abstract: A weapon stock saddle for a weapon storage system includes an elongated irregular opening of a weapon stock saddle to receive a butt end of a weapon stock. The elongated irregular opening includes a toe end and a head end. The weapon stock saddle also includes a plurality of substantially parallel adjacent steps. Each step has a different height above a horizontal surface and forms a wall to capture the butt end of the weapon stock. A floor of the elongated irregular opening, between the toe end and a first wall of a first step of the plurality of substantially parallel adjacent steps, has an angle of about 17 degrees plus or minus 10 degrees with respect to a horizontal surface upon which the weapon stock saddle rests.

Abstract: Disclosed is a pantry pullout apparatus having side access and designed for simple, adjustable, and accurate installation within a pre-existing cabinet space. The apparatus, slidably mounted within the cabinet space, comprises a top slide assembly mounted to a cabinet carcass and a drawer box. The drawer box is automatically centered on a base slide box. The base slide box is comprised of a slotted template slidingly engaged with a frame, where the frame is mounted to the cabinet carcass. Slide rail assemblies connect the slotted template to the frame. A pin block on the underside of a fixed shelf of the drawer box automatically centers the drawer box on the slotted template. A face plate adjustment mechanism provides for three dimensional alignment of the face plate with surrounding cabinets.

Abstract: A drawer assembly for a consumer appliance is provided. The drawer assembly includes an anti-racking system for minimizing misalignment of an appliance drawer. More particularly, the present subject matter provides a drawer slide assembly for a drawer having some horizontal flexibility. The drawer slide assembly may have a pinion gear and connecting rod assembly that minimizes racking of the appliance drawer as it is moved into and out an appliance chamber. The appliance drawer may be attached to the appliance chamber by a ball and joint pinion gear configuration that adds another degree of freedom to the anti-racking system in order to reduce stress on the pinion gear. By adding an additional degree of freedom to the pinion gear and reducing the imposed stresses applied to the pinion gear, the performance and lifetime of the drawer assembly may be improved.

Abstract: A drawer slide having first and second rails interconnected by a center rail. The center rail includes a spool configured to provide half-speed travel of the center rail relative to the travel of the first rail. The drawer slide is configured for use with a drawer assembly having a drawer and a chassis. The drawer assembly further includes a radius limiter secured to the center rail. The radius limiter travels at half-speed relative to the drawer. The radius limiter also automatically rotates relative to the travel of the drawer. The chassis includes sides including threaded backing plates, and mounting brackets. The mounting brackets include tri-lobed holes for receipt of a reciprocally shaped washer and a fastener for mounting the brackets to the chassis sides.
