Abstract: A beverage can handle includes a first arm having a first end and a second end. The first end includes a protrusion for supporting a first lip of a beverage can. The protrusion is shaped for inhibiting slippage of the first lip of the beverage can off of the protrusion. The beverage can handle also includes a second arm that is slideably coupled to the first arm and extendable from a storage position to an extended position relative to the first end of the first arm. The second arm has a first end and a second end. The first end includes a groove for releasably mating with a second lip of the beverage can when in the extended position. The groove is shaped for inhibiting slippage of the second lip of the beverage can out of the groove when the second arm is in the extended position.

Abstract: A bag and closure for a bag. The closure includes interlocking closure profiles that extend along the width of the closure and are selectively matable to close the closure or bag. The closure profiles are configured to be spaced apart from the top end of the bag. The closure further includes grip spacing formations that extend along the width of the closure. When the profiles mate, the grip spacing formations engage one another and urge opposing top end portions of the bag or closure outward to define an enlarged gap. The opposing top end portions, thus, define gripping bands that are accessible for being gripped during bag opening.

Abstract: The bag may include a draw tape that may be used to cinch closed the opening of the bag. The draw tape may include an elastic characteristic and may be smaller in size than the peripheral distance about the opening. The draw tape in its natural contracted state may partially constrict the opening. However, the draw tape may be stretched or expanded to enable a user to dilate the opening and fold the periphery of the opening over the rim of the canister. The draw tape may then recover or constrict to grip about the rim of the receptacle to hold the bag to the canister. In one embodiment, the bag may include a pattern proximate the bag opening to allow the bag opening to be stretched over the rim of the canister.

The inner wall defines a gap with the outer wall that is configured to receive a neck of a bottle such that the outer wall forms a seal with the inner wall. The disk is supported by the inner wall. The disk defines an opening that is configured to receive and form a seal about a drinking implement that is inserted through the opening.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing an external cover edge of a molded cup lid and a product manufactured by the method includes an intermediate product of the molded cup lid made of plant fiber and manufactured by both “pulp suction shaping” and “thermal compression shaping” processes. A protruding-out outer cover edge is formed around the periphery of the intermediate product.

Abstract: A tamper evident and resistant container includes a tray, a cover and a hinge extending from the cover and tray defining a hinge axis about which the tray and cover relatively rotate between a closed position and an opened position. The container further includes a first tab provided on one of the cover or the tray and at least partially defined by a line of weakness. When the cover is in the closed position, a user may pull the first tab to tear the hinge to separate the cover from the tray, wherein the line of weakness at least partially defining the first tab is configured to tear when the first tab is pulled to tear the hinge to separate the cover from the tray.

Abstract: A hot-fill PET container or bottle (10) filling with a liquid at an elevated temperature has a side wall (9) extending to a lower portion including a pressure panel (11) and a base (21) in its unfolded or pre-fill position. The panel (11) is transversely oriented and has a decoupling or hinge structure (13), an initiator portion (1) and control portion (5) of a steeply angled inverting conical section between 30 and 45 degrees. The control portion enables the inversion of the panel (11) into the container (10) to compensate for vacuum or reduced pressure induced within the container as the liquid cools down. The base (2) can also have a plurality of reinforcing ribs (3).

Abstract: A multilayer plastic film comprising polyethylene outer layers with inner layers of additional polyethylene adjacent to tie layers of adhesive bonded to a blended polyamide and polyvinyl alcohol core. This structure results in excellent oxygen and water barrier properties. The film can be coextruded in a blown film process that results in a durable barrier film without the sacrifice of optical properties. Film applications include, but are not limited to, food packaging such as bags, liners, pouches, shrink bags, and chubs. In certain embodiments, the film can also be used for food packaging, including packaging of meat, cheese, milk, condiments, salad dressings, or any other oxygen sensitive products.

Abstract: A composite barrier film has a base layer of polyester or polyolefin with a barrier layer modified polyvinyl amine (mPVA). The mPVA is polyvinyl alcohol/polyvinyl amine copolymer crosslinked with citric acid and an optional additional crosslinking agent such as epichlorohydrin. The barrier layer can be applied by deposition of a reactive aqueous solution onto the base layer, heating and drying to remove water and crosslink the reactants. Excellent barrier properties of the film are obtained by applying and crosslinking the barrier layer during the transverse stretching steps of a biaxial oriented polymer film continuous fabrication process. Superior barrier properties are achieved with transverse stretching by a factor of about 3-4 for polyester and 4-10 for polyolefin.

This is achieved by virtue of the fact that the distortion of the container no longer leads to functional dysfunctions of the dispensing module. Also, the outer shape of the container can be freely selected.

Abstract: An integrated material transfer and dispensing system for storing, transferring and dispensing materials, such as fluids and liquids, for example, liquid applied sound deadener (LASD). The system includes at least one vessel having a force transfer device. Each vessel may be removably enclosed in cabinet to form an automated station. Each vessel may be configured with a data logger, cleanout port, a sample valve at least one sight window and an access port for introducing a compound such as a biocide. Each vessel may be configured with instruments including sensors for measuring process variables, such as material volume, level, temperature, pressure and flow. The system may further include a metering device system and a robotic material dispenser system without a pump interface. The robotic system may further include a computer control system connected to flow and pressure sensors. The system may directly feed an applicator without an intervening pump.

The system includes a top and bottom compartment that contains at least one liquid and at least one foodstuff. Abstract: The removable dispensing cover for tissue boxes includes an oblong dispensing cover detachably mounted to a top of a tissue box. A pull tab extends from one end of the dispensing cover for selective grasping by a user for subsequent removal of the dispensing cover from the tissue box to access the tissues. An elongate dispensing thread has a portion thereof attached to the bottom of the dispensing cover, and a dispensing strip is attached to the remaining portion of the dispensing thread. The dispensing strip is attached a top tissue sheet contained in the tissue box, so that as the dispensing cover is removed from the top of the tissue box, the top tissue is also pulled along, ready for use.

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to dispensers for holding a consumables box containing consumable products such as, but not limited to, disposable latex gloves. In one embodiment, the dispenser includes a continuous front plate with an aperture for extracting the consumable products, continuous side plates, and separable back plates that develop a load path with the continuous front plate after the dispenser has been mounted onto a mounting surface. The dispenser may include one or more spring mechanisms that urge the consumables box into a forward and centered position within the dispenser. The continuous front plate resists undesired deflection when subjected to an outward force. In another embodiment, one or more surfaces of the dispenser may be overlaid with a woodgrain laminate for aesthetic purposes.

Through depression of the dispensing head, an associated dispensing valve is opened and the product to be delivered can escape or be dispensed through an outlet space and via a downstream outlet valve. In order to prevent or at least minimize subsequent dripping or foaming, the volume of the outlet space is initially reduced upon actuation of the dispensing head and enlarged again upon completion of actuation, particularly after closing of the dispensing valve, whereby the product is suctioned away from the outlet or outlet valve back into the outlet space.

Abstract: A vehicle mounted storage device for the ball mount and spring/torsion bar component of a trailer weight distribution system when the equipment is not in use. The storage device is comprised of a horizontal channel where the spring bars can be inserted, a vertical channel, where the ball mount can be inserted, and a horizontal tongue separating the two channels. When the spring bars are inserted into the horizontal channel with the heads of the spring bars resting on the tongue area and the ball mount is inserted into the vertical channel with the hitch ball directly above the spring bar heads, the spring bars are securely confined to the device. Once a locking device has been affixed to the ball mount, the device deters theft of the spring bars and ball mount.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure include an apparatus to support a proppant container including a frame to receive and support the proppant container, the frame having a top surface that receives and positions the proppant container above a conveyor to carry proppant disposed thereon away from the proppant container. The apparatus also includes a box guide assembly positioned on the top surface including a corner assembly having two wall segments, and a guide member extending upwardly and positioned adjacent the corner assembly, the guide member including tapered portion of the guide member, the taper having a first width at a top portion of the guide member smaller than a second width at a bottom portion of the guide member. The tapered portion contacts and directs the proppant container to a desired location.

Abstract: A method of storage tank monitoring including calculating liquid inventory within the storage tank. Real-time parameters associated with evaporative loss of a liquid stored within the storage tank are determined to produce input data. The real-time parameters include at least one condition within the storage tank and at least one environmental condition. Evaporative loss is automatically calculated with an inventory calculation algorithm using the input data and at least one known physical property of the liquid in the storage tank.

Abstract: A compressible trash receptacle includes a frame, a plunger section operably coupled to the frame wherein the plunger section is disposed partially exterior of the frame, and a trash-receiving section detachably connected to the frame and in communication with the plunger section. In this manner, when no external force acts on the plunger section, the plunger section rests at an equilibrium position disposed partially exterior of the trash-receiving section. Advantageously, when an external force acts on the plunger section, the plunger section moves to a tensioned position disposed partially interior of the trash-receiving section.

Abstract: A bolt-on shaft and gear system includes a body assembly defining two spaced apart mounts. A powered grasping assembly includes a first pivot pin pivotally positioned in a first of the two mounts and a first gear section fixedly coupled to the first pivot pin. An actuating driver is attached between the body assembly and the powered grasping assembly for controllably rotating the powered grasping assembly about the first pivot pin. A follower grasping assembly includes a second pivot pin pivotally positioned in a second of the two mounts and a second gear section fixedly coupled to the second pivot pin, the second gear section is meshed with the first gear section so as to rotate with the powered grasping assembly in an opposite direction.

Abstract: An item may be outfitted with a cartridge for varying a net density of the item and deposited in a body of liquid for storage. The cartridge may cause a net density of the item to exceed a density of the liquid, or to fall below the density of the liquid, and to descend or ascend within the liquid, as desired. The cartridge may also cause a net density of the item to equal the density of the liquid, and thus remain at a constant depth. The cartridge may be configured to receive acoustic signals or other forms of instructions for varying a net density of the item, and may send acoustic signals or other messages identifying a depth or position of the item. The cartridge may thus enable an item to be stored at any depth within the liquid, and be retrieved upon demand.

The carrier includes sensors used to detect and track each hanger and the garment thereon.

An oilfield material reservoir is provided for receiving oilfield material, the oilfield material reservoir having an enclosure. A dust collector is provided for collecting dust generated at the oilfield material reservoir, and a duct in communication with the enclosure and the dust collector is provided for transferring dust generated at the oilfield material reservoir to the dust collector.

A front panel hangs in front of the back curtain. The front panel is less flexible than the back curtain. Abstract: A sheet conveying apparatus includes: a main unit; a tray main body pivotable between a standing position and an inclined position; and a tray cover connected to the tray main body and pivotable between a bent position and a straight position. A space formed between the main unit and the tray main body is covered by the tray cover located at the bent position relative to the tray main body at the standing position and exposed by the tray cover located at the straight position relative to the tray main body at the inclined position. The tray cover pivoting from the straight position to the bent position relative to the tray main body at the inclined position causes the tray main body to pivot from the inclined position to the standing position, so that the tray cover covers the space.
