Abstract: By adding a lignosulfonate preferably magnesium lignosulfonate to water and subjecting the mixture to shear a viscous fluid is created. The lignosulfonate increases the viscosity of the water at least to the point where the fluid is viscous enough to maintain the cement in a solution without free water yet not so viscous as to prevent the pumps from moving the viscous fluid slurry and thereby damaging the pumps. The fluid is sufficiently viscous to enable the fluid to conduct the cement slurry through the wellbore and into the formation without duning or otherwise allowing the cement to settle out. Additionally the fluid continues to remain viscous and retain the cement in slurry at temperatures in excess of 225° F.

The crown may be an oven crown, an upcommer arch, a downcommer arch, a J-piece, a single sole flue arch or multiple sole flue arches, a downcommer cleanout, curvilinear corner sections, and/or combined portions of any of the above sections. In some embodiments, the crown is formed at least in part with a thermally-volume-stable material. In further embodiments, the crown is formed as a monolith (or several monolith segments) spanning between supports such as oven sidewalls. In various embodiments, the monolith and thermally-volume-stable features can be used in combination or alone.

Abstract: The invention belongs to the field of biomass energy utilization, and a continuous pyrolysis and carbonization method of agricultural and forestry biomass is disclosed. The method comprises the following steps: feeding biomass feedstock to a dryer for drying, then transporting to a continuous pyrolysis apparatus for pyrolyzing to obtain pyrolysis semicoke and pyrolysis volatiles; and transporting the pyrolysis semicoke to a carbonization apparatus for carbonization to obtain biomass charcoal and semi-coke carbonized volatiles; then discharging the pyrolysis volatiles and the semi-coke carbonized volatiles, and cooling to obtain tar, wood vinegar and pyrolysis gas; introducing the pyrolysis gas into a combustion apparatus for combustion to obtain a high temperature flue gas; and finally transporting the high temperature flue gas into pyrolysis apparatus and carbonization apparatus for supplying heat, then the flue gas after supplying heat is delivered to the dryer and discharging tail gas.

Abstract: A coal mixture is provided that maintains a high level of coke strength after carbonization, even where coal having an excessively large permeation distance is used in a large amount. The coal mixture includes large-permeation-distance coal and permeation-distance-decreasing coal. The permeation-distance-decreasing coal has a mean maximum vitrinite reflectance Ro of 1.25% or more and a total inert amount TI of 30 vol. % or less. The blending ratio of the permeation-distance-decreasing coal in the coal mixture is in a range derived by multiplying the blending ratio of the large-permeation-distance coal by 0.25 or more and 3.0 or less.
