Abstract: A method for making face masks includes: advancing continuously a longitudinal sheet material that can be divided into a plurality of mask sheets each of which has two opposite longitudinal ends and two opposite transverse ends; cutting the sheet material at intervals to form the mask sheets; providing a plurality of strips each of which has two longitudinally opposite strip ends and each of which is folded to form a pleat between the two strip ends thereof; and bonding the two strip ends of each of the strips to one of the opposite transverse ends of a respective one of the mask sheets to form an ear loop. A structure of the face mask is also disclosed.

Abstract: A multi-purpose travel garment facilitates upright sleep and access to travel and sleep related items during travel. The garment is a poncho and is fabricated in a material composition that is warm and spacy. The garment includes body and neck cavities that retain neck and torso supports for optimal support of the torso and head while sleeping in an upright position. The garment also provides pouches that are easily accessible and contain travel related items. The garment also includes a head portion that cushions and supports the head, while also selectively covering the eyes to block light during sleep. A body and head adjustment mechanism, such as a drawstring, adjusts the size of the garment. A container compacts to stow in the pouches and expands for functionality. A pump generates a fluid for filling the supports. A channel carries and conceals circuitry form an external electronic device.

Abstract: Provided is a sports band including a main body formed with one side open to be worn on a body of a user and to have a curvature, and wherein an expression zone having a form indicating a sports game is formed at both ends of the open side, and an expression layer exhibiting the form indicating the sports game on an external side of the expression zone, and the sports band disclosed herein may be used for various sports games including soccer, allow a user to express enthusiasm as well as a sense of unity with a sports game, provide a desirable wearing sensation not only for everyday use but also for the sports game, and improve physical vitality by a magnetic field.

Abstract: A light effect material is used to create a viewing effect visible to a viewer on the opposite side of the light effect material than one or more LEDs which emit light which is dispersed by dispersive elements on the outer surface of the light effect material. A transparent space is used to space the LEDs apart from the dispersive elements of the light effect material and light emitting dies of the LEDs are substantially parallel to the light effect material.

Abstract: A flame resistant fabric containing a plurality of warp elements comprising flame resistant (FR) yarns extending in a warp direction and a plurality of filling elements comprising FR yarns extending in the fill direction transverse to the warp direction in interwoven relation to the warp elements. At least a portion of the FR yarns in the fill and/or warp direction comprise intermingled FR yarns. The intermingled FR yarns contain at least 2 plies, at least one of the plies contain staple fibers or continuous multifilaments and at least one of the plies contain FR fibers. The plies are intermingled together with a portion of the staple fibers or continuous multifilaments of the first ply entangled with the second ply.

Abstract: A headgear system with first and second helmets is provided. The first helmet has a frontal bone section that covers a frontal bone of a wearer of the first helmet, and a first magnet component that is located at the frontal bone section of the first helmet. The first magnet component extends at least 90 degrees around the central axis of the first helmet. The second helmet has a frontal bone section that covers a frontal bone of the wearer, and a second magnet component is located at the frontal bone section of the second helmet. The magnet forces of the first and second magnet components repel one another when the first and second magnet components are located proximate to one another to help reduce force onto the head from impact.

Abstract: A personal protection system for providing a sterile barrier around medical/surgical personnel. The system includes a helmet over which a hood or a toga suspended. A microphone, an amplifier and a speaker are mounted to the helmet. Speech of the individual wearing the personal protection system is picked up by the microphone and amplified speech is broadcast by the speaker. The speaker is outwardly directed so as to broadcast the speech out through the hood or toga covering the helmet.

Abstract: An article of footwear an upper and a sole structure that defines a first portion and a second portion. The first portion is disposed proximate the medial side of the footwear, and the second portion is disposed proximate the lateral side. The first portion and the second portion are configured to move relative to each other. The article of footwear also includes a flexible biasing member including a first end, a second end, and a middle portion. The middle portion extends across the first portion and the second portion. The first and second ends extend out from the outer surface of the footwear from either the medial or lateral side. The middle portion of the biasing member is configured to bias the first and second portions toward each other.

Abstract: A spacer textile material having at least a portion of multiple tensile strands located together between a first layer and a second layer of the spacer textile material, where the first layer and second layer have been joined together to form channels in which the tensile strands move freely. The tensile strands may be disposed in the spacer textile material together or they may separate into different portions of the spacer textile. Further, the spacer textile material having channels with multiple tensile strands may be incorporated into an article of footwear.

Abstract: An article of footwear may have a sole structure and an upper that includes at least two layers and a plurality of strands. The two layers extend from a lace region of the upper to a lower region of the upper. The strands are located between the two layers and the strands extend from the lace region to the lower region. Additionally, the strands are unsecured to the layers for a distance of at least five centimeters in an area between the lace region and the lower region. The two layers may be secured to each other at portions located between the strands.

Abstract: An article of footwear including a 360° lacing system configured to secure the footwear to a wearer's foot. The lacing system includes an elongated lace that extends rearward adjacent an ankle collar, around a heel of the footwear, and forward again. The lacing system includes one or more fairleads that project outwardly from the ankle collar. The fairleads define fairlead holes through which the lace is extends. The lace is slidable relative to the holes, and thus the fairleads, and can be removed from and replaced relative to the fairleads with minimal effort. A related method of utilizing the article of footwear is also provided.

Abstract: A shoe having a sole and an upper including a tongue, secured to the sole, a row of eyelets along each side of the tongue, including topmost eyelets and foremost eyelets, and a pocket accessory which includes a pocket member that has an anchor portion and a pocket flap which defines a pocket for receiving the knotted shoe lace via a pocket opening. There may be a cover member attached to the shoe, which can removably engage the pocket member to cover or expose the pocket opening. The pocket member may be sewn to the tongue of the shoe or attached thereto otherwise.

Abstract: According to an embodiment, a device for tightening an article includes a housing, a spool rotatably positioned within the housing, a knob operably coupled with the spool to cause the spool to rotate within the housing, and a stop mechanism. The device is configured so that incremental rotation of the knob in a first direction causes a corresponding incremental rotation of the spool within the housing that incrementally tensions a tension member and thereby tightens the article. The device is also configured so that incremental rotation of the knob in a second direction causes a corresponding incremental rotation of the spool that incrementally loosens the tension member's tension. The stop mechanism is configured to prevent rotation of the spool in the second direction when the tension member's tension achieves or falls below a tension threshold.

Abstract: Aspects hereof relate to a holding fixture for holding portions of a shoe during painting. The fixture has a lower jig and an upper jig. The lower jig has an outer wall from which a contacting surface extends. The contacting surface is sized to apply a compressive force to the midsole along a desired paint line, and prevents paint from moving onto the midsole below the contacting surface. The top jig has a lower surface configured to be placed in contact with the top surface of the midsole when the midsole is held in the lower jig and is shaped to apply a downward and outward force on the midsole at an edge defined by the top surface of the midsole and the outer perimeter surface of the midsole, to thereby prevent paint from moving onto the top surface of the shoe portion.

Abstract: A zipper guide is provided to facilitate closure of an open-ended zipper. The zipper guide includes a base to which a zipper tape pin end is attached and a slider to which a zipper tape box end is attached. A key on a lower surface of the slider slides in a trench in an upper surface of the base at an orientation that guides the attached zipper tape box end toward the attached zipper tape pin end by planar sliding movements of the slider lower surface with respect to the base upper surface.

Abstract: A decorative floral jewelry device is shown. The device allows the user to change out the beaded center portion of the floral jewelry and also provides at least one rod with platform that affixes to the back of the floral element such that the floral element does not sag thereby deterring from the look of the jewelry. An alternative embodiment shows a jewelry device that has a rod with platform and loop but uses a hook with loop and retention device and clip to fasten a decorative element to help maintain the upright position of the decorative element. This embodiment can also have a second rod and platform with a loop on which can be mounted decorative elements. Where the loop of the hook, retention device and second rod are all interconnected.

Abstract: Example ambulation aid apparatus and associated methods of manufacture are disclosed and described herein. An example single-point supportive ambulation aid is formed as an integral part. The integral part of the example ambulation aid is formed to integrate: a body portion formed to support a user; a graspable area integrated with the body portion and providing an area to be gripped by a user; and a foot portion integrated with the body portion and providing a single point of contact with a walking surface to facilitate user movement and support in conjunction with the body portion and graspable area through the integral part.

Abstract: An umbrella storage spike having an upper assembly and a lower assembly, each having a storage space inside. The lower assembly includes external threads to aid in ground penetration for anchoring the device. The top of the upper assembly terminates in a cap that attaches to a pole that supports a canopy. The cap includes a speaker and a charging port used with a portable electronic device.

Abstract: A suitcase structure includes a back case component, a front lid component and a ring-shaped gusset component. The opposite sides of the ring-shaped gusset component are connected with the edge of the back case component and the edge of the front lid component respectively, so as to form an accommodation space used for being closed. The ring-shaped gusset component includes a plurality of sidewall portions and a plurality of flexible structures linking the sidewall portions. The flexible deformation capability of the flexible structures is greater than the flexible deformation capability of the sidewall portions. The flexible structures has an inclination, and two of the sidewall portions adjacent to each other can be bent and therefore be stacked opposite to each other by the flexible structures linking the two of the sidewall portions.

Abstract: A folding suitcase includes a back case component, a front lid component, a circumferential surface component, and a restoring component. Two opposite sides of the circumferential surface component are connected with the back case component and the front lid component, respectively, so as to form an accommodating space selectively. The circumferential surface component has multiple sidewall parts and multiple bending parts connected with the multiple sidewall parts. The multiple bending parts are bendable to lead the multiple sidewall parts to be capable of being folded oppositely or being erected on the back case component. The restoring component is located on at least one bending part. The restoring component is elastic for erecting the multiple sidewall parts.

Abstract: A space saving luggage assembly with a luggage body having a plurality of side walls and an inner back support surface defining an article placement zone and a cover thereto that includes an open position exposing the article placement zone to an ambient environment and a closed position encapsulating the article placement zone. The space saving luggage assembly also includes a battery-powered vacuum assembly integrated into one of a plurality of side walls of the luggage body and having a tube, defining a tube conduit, with a free end disposed within the article placement zone when the cover is in the closed position, the battery-powered vacuum assembly operably configured to induce a vacuum within the tube conduit.

Abstract: The invention features a storage device designed to protect and store caps. Multiple caps can be positioned in the storage device. The device is in the shape of a cap having an upper body portion and a lower body portion. The upper and lower body portions feature a closure mechanism which secures the upper and lower body portions together along their respective edges. A cap stopper is inside of the device and aids in preventing shifting of the caps. The cap stopper has a compartment sized to support miscellaneous items.

Abstract: An ergonomic handle for luggage is provided. In one aspect, the handle comprises at least one palm grip. The handle is attached to a compartment with wheels. The palm grip can be used to push the luggage as the wheels roll over a rolling surface.

Abstract: A hair color delivery system includes a flexible bottle, a dispensing cap having a tapered nozzle, an asymmetric bi-directional valve assembly, and a dispensing tube. The valve assembly comprises a platform, and a pair of valves, comprising tapered extensions through which fluid may be expelled from the bottle and ambient air may enter the bottle. The valves are offset from each other so that they are not co-axial or rotationally symmetric. The delivery system enables a method of substantially continuous delivery of a fluid chemical, yielding a hair treatment that it is easy and safe to use in which the tapered nozzle stays fully charged with product as air can be admitted to a dispensing bottle through a different valve than that used for dispensing.

Abstract: An epilating device removes hair from a user by pinching, pulling and releasing the hairs. The epilating device has a tweezer portion having an axis and being mounted to rotate about its axis during use, the tweezer portion defining at least one pinching region at its circumference in which hairs may be grasped by tweezer elements. The tweezer portion is mounted in cantilevered fashion by its first end to an attachment portion of a handle. The cantilever arrangement of the tweezer portion allows better access to the tweezer elements, in particular for epilating in areas that may otherwise be difficult to reach.

Abstract: An inflatable device for water self-rescue comprising one or more buoyant inflatables having a substantial size and shape to secure to one or both lower extremities of a self-rescuer, or to one or both shoulders of a single human carrier for transport of watercraft for another embodiment. Shapes of the various inflatable embodiments include an incurvate side, triangular prism, streamlined, and to encompass a portion of the lower extremity. Embodiments include one or more straps to secure the inflatable to the lower extremity, another inflatable, or the watercraft. The device secured to the lower extremity increases water-area and buoyancy to more effectively engage the lower body muscles while performing a standard or similar self-rescue maneuver to aid reboarding watercraft or swimming to safety. The device makes possible single human transport of watercraft which lack a design structure for solo transport such as a kayak.

A portable device holder is configured to receive and hold securely a portable device. The anchor hub and the central hub slide to produce a first expanded position and a second collapsed position of a table surface coupled to the table surface support frame.

Abstract: A system and method of provisioning a securable device may include providing a plurality of securable device stations, each securable device station including (i) a controller and (ii) a set of securable devices in local communication with the controller, the controller being configured to enable a user to initiate access to a securable device from a set of securable devices. Abstract: The disclosure defined by this invention is of a shelving system where the top and bottom shelf positions are fixed relative to each other by a plurality of support columns, and one or more inner shelves are vertically positionable by hand. The support columns pass through guide channels in a shelf, or in brackets attached to the shelves, and are forced to bend slightly to do so. The channels are larger than the support columns. The bent support columns exert opposing lateral forces against a shelf at the guide channel walls and edges and the friction between the support columns and the guide channels enables a shelf to remain stuck in a position even when under load. Force can be applied by hand to overcome the stuck position and slide a shelf to a new vertical position. Inner shelves can be finely positioned thru a finite vertical range.

Abstract: This compact storage, display, and dispensing system for folded garments comprises a plurality of stackable, flexible trays, each of which may hold a uniformly-folded garment, and vertical rails to which each tray may attach individually by magnets in single reinforced tray edges. Trays have nonslip upper surfaces so the garments do not slide off. Users view and select a desired garment, then remove the appropriate tray without disturbing adjacent garments or trays by simply pulling to overcome the magnetic force holding that tray attached. The remaining trays remain attached, and the force of gravity causes them to slide down the rails to occupy the space previously occupied by the now removed tray. Empty trays can either be added to the top of the stack, or removed for refilling. Due to the force of the magnets, removed trays remain in neat vertical stacks, either when empty or refilled.

The reclining device is configured such that a load from the seat back is simultaneously applied to the first wedge-shaped member (71) and second wedge-shaped member (73).

Abstract: A chair assembly includes a seat support structure having a seat surface pivotable about a first pivot point between first and second positions, and a back support assembly coupled to the seat support structure, movable between upright and reclined positions and pivotable about a second pivot point, wherein the first pivot point is located at a position along a first line perpendicular to a second line tangential to the seat surface and at a forward most portion of a back surface, forward between along a third line parallel with the second line, down to the second line along a fourth line perpendicular with the second line, up the fourth line such that the second pivot point is located within a given radius from the first pivot point when the back support assembly is in the upright and reclined positions.

Abstract: A new chair back assembly is disclosed with attachment mechanisms that allow the chair back components to be relatively easily assembled while maintaining a slim profile and obscuring certain of the attachment mechanisms from view. In some embodiments, the chair back assembly includes a ring that attaches fabric or upholstery to the base of chair back. The ring attaches to the base of the chair back through a system of flanges and pockets that restrict movement while maintaining ease of assembly.

Abstract: An electric bed, chair and the like includes a back frame, a waist supporting device pivotally connected with the back frame, and an actuator pivotally connected between the back frame and the waist supporting device in such a way that the waist supporting device is turnable by the actuator between a first position and a second position where the waist supporting device protrudes over a top surface of the back frame. The back frame supports a user's back and the waist supporting device can optionally support the user's waist to make the user feel comfortable when he/she lies or sits down. By controlling the actuator, the service of the waist supporting device can be optimally provided and the elevation protruding over the top surface of the back frame can be adjusted so as to adjust the supporting effect of the waist supporting device.

Abstract: The fastening structure includes an inner sleeve, a quick-release handle and an outer sleeve. The inner sleeve has an outer threaded conic surface, a through slot, shrinkable slots and claw plates between adjacent two of the shrinkable slots.
