Abstract: A device for washing a suspension of cells. The device includes a bowl-shaped basin having a top end and a bottom end and an axis extending from the top end to the bottom end, and an inlet port formed in the basin. The inlet port is positioned at an angle to allow for a wash solution to be injected or delivered into the basin and circulate around the basin about the central axis. A suspension of cells can be washed in the circulating wash solution. The circulating wash solution forces the cells to settle at the bottom of the basin, where they can be extracted.

Abstract: The Hyperbaric Cryogenesis Chambers are equipment for medical usage, extracorporeal, and capable of promoting the proliferation and preservation of cells in a way mainly microbiologic, “not biologic”. They are compartments with containers that host tissues or cells in solution with nutrients, that bear pressures higher and lower to sea level. They have a cold system inside that lowers the environmental temperature and maintains it permanently. They are for maintaining viability of cells or tissues and to induce their organized proliferation with oxygen or other gases at pressures higher or lower that the exterior of the chamber.

Abstract: Cyclodextrin compositions, including a hydrophobic carrier and a cyclodextrin complex, are formed and disposed on a variety of substrates using conditions that avoid substantial loss of the complexed compound from the cyclodextrin complex, even where the complexed compound is a gas a common ambient temperatures (e.g. 20° C.). Flexographic printing is particularly useful for disposing the cyclodextrin compositions on one or more substrates. Substrates treated with the cyclodextrin complexes are useful for subsequent release of the complexed compound.

Abstract: A biocide is formed by mixing at least one of ammonium sulfamate and ammonium carbamate with an aqueous solution of a hypochlorite oxidant at a molar ratio of ammonium to hypochlorite of at least 1:1. The biocide is useful in treating microbial or biofilm growth, pulp and paper process water, cooling tower water, waste water, reclaimed waste water, sludge, colloidal suspensions, irrigation water or a medium having a reducing capacity.

Abstract: The disclosure provides methods of applying glyphosate to improve weed control in a field containing herbicide tolerant brassica species. More specifically, glyphosate treatments are applied to a substantial portion of herbicide tolerant brassica plants which are beyond the 2-6 leaf stage such as for example to a substantial portion of herbicide tolerant brassica plants which are at the 10% open flowers to about 10% pod stage. The disclosure provides methods that apply glyphosate at late stage brassica development.

The process also includes introducing a supply of conditioned air into the chamber, the air having a relative humidity below about 60% and a temperature in the range of at least about 40° F. to 130° F., and introducing a supply of microwaves into the chamber. The air supply and microwaves are selected to reduce the moisture content of the meat to a predetermined moisture to protein ratio.

Abstract: There is provided a method of controlling an electrical heating element, including maintaining a temperature of the heating element at a target temperature by supplying pulses of electrical current to the heating element; monitoring a duty cycle of the pulses of electrical current; and determining if the duty cycle differs from an expected duty cycle or range of duty cycles, and if so, reducing the target temperature, or stopping the supply of current to the heating element or limiting the duty cycle of the pulses of electrical current supplied to the heating element. A crotch portion with a phallus retention aperture can form a phallus retaining portion. The underwear structure has a body portion, a waistband secured to the body portion, and first and second leg openings formed in the body portion, all of which could be resiliently stretchable as could be the phallus retention aperture. One or more panels of substantially non-stretch or inelastic material can partially or completely surround the phallus retention aperture to provide localized stabilization. The garment structure can be formed with one or more layers of elastic material, and at least one layer of substantially inelastic material forming the stabilization portion can be fixed to the layer of elastic material adjacent to the phallus retention aperture, such as by stitching in a pattern.

This novel, uniquely shaped, and scaled gusset significantly enhances wearers' comfort by eliminating seams, material transitions, stitching, and other mechanisms or methods of attachment from within the boundaries of a defined protected region, which coincides with the wearer's sensitive genital area. The gusset is preferably constructed from at least one layer of material, and may feature additional layers. In preferred embodiments, the elongated gusset and/or crotch panel is incorporated into girl/boy short-style undergarments, bikini-style undergarments, thong-style undergarments, pajama-bottom style garments, and other lower-body garments.

The handles are preferably made of one or more foam sausages attached to a thin stretch fabric sleeve which is placed the leg of the jumper and when jumping allow for secure grasp by lifters. To use, leg handles are applied to one or more legs of a jumper and held in place with tape. When the jumper jumps, one or more lifters place their hands against the leg handle. The lifters lift the jumper higher, support the jumper in the jump while the jumper attempts to intercept a ball, and safely lower the jumper. Leg handles comprising cylindrical sections are embodied with a single sausage; a lower front sausage and a higher back sausage; or as a pair of such sausages integrated into respective legs of a pair of compression shorts.

The fixture comprises a polymeric base and a pair of inter-nesting uprights pivotably mounted therein at opposed ends of the base. The system can further include a heating element and a fan arranged to heat air and move the air into the vacuum chamber. In one embodiment disclosed herein, a method for grooming hair includes the steps of placing a section of hair into a vacuum chamber; drawing a vacuum to remove excess water from the hair; and applying heated air to the section of hair.

Abstract: A compact portable LED nail curing lamp has surface-mounted light emitting diode (SMD LED) lights. The lamp provides fast and consistent results producing high gloss finish and even curing of nail polish (e.g., UV-curable gel polish). The nail lamp has a micro USB port, which can be used to power the lamp using a wall adapter, car charger, laptop USB port, or mobile power bank for ultimate portability. In an implementation, a system includes a compact LED nail curing lamp and a mobile power battery pack. The system also includes a cable to connect the nail lamp and the mobile power battery pack. The battery pack provides portable power to the nail lamp so that the nail lamp can be used portably, such as during travel or on an airplane when a wall outlet is unavailable.
