Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for merging multiple images to produce a single fused image having desirable image characteristics derived from the multiple images. For example, the system may determine image characteristics for first and second images. The image characteristics may be related to contrast, exposure, color saturation, and the like. Based on the image characteristics, the system may generate a combined luma weight map. The system may decompose the first and second images and the combined luma weight map. In an example, the first image, the second image, and the combined luma weight map may be represented as scale-space representations having multiple scales or levels. The system may merge the decomposed representations of the first and second images and the combined luma weight map to form a decomposed representation of the fused image. The system may generate the actual fused image from the decomposed representation of the fused image.

Abstract: A method of evaluating an image quality for an imaging system and the imaging system are provided. The method may comprise: acquiring an image to be evaluated which is generated by the imaging system; extracting a plurality of sub-images from the image; obtaining a coefficient vector indicating a degree of sparsity by applying a sparse decomposition on the plurality of sub-images based on a pre-set redundant sparse representation dictionary; and performing a linear transformation on the coefficient vector so as to obtain an evaluation value for the image quality. The sparse dictionary is learned by only using a few high quality perspective images, and then the image quality is evaluated based on the sparse degree of the image which is obtained by using the sparse dictionary, thereby achieving a convenient and rapid no-reference image quality evaluation.

Abstract: An inspection method whereby, in a case in which a nozzle palette is imaged from above and light reflected by a reflection plate is not included in captured image data of a loading hole of the nozzle palette, it is determined that a suction nozzle is loaded in the loading hole. Meanwhile, in a case in which light reflected by the reflection plate is included in the captured image data of the loading hole, it is determined that a suction nozzle is not loaded in the loading hole. Further, in a case in which it is determined that a suction nozzle is loaded in the loading hole, air is ejected toward the loading hole. Then, it is redetermined whether reflected light reflected by the reflection plate is included in the captured image data of the loading hole.

The method processes data provided by at least one front camera in an on-board visual system. The checking method includes steps for periodically acquiring images provided by the camera or cameras, followed by storage of the positional data of the three-dimensional road in relation to a flat road and basic positional parameter data for the path of the vehicle. The error between the ideal values of the suspension parameters of a chosen suspension model and the values of these parameters corresponding to the stored path data from the positional data is then minimized. The software allows users to organizes photos of related individuals, or couples in a family tree, according to actual family relationships. It provides cooperating templates consisting of: one or more seeds, a tree trunk with a crown: one or more branches and picture frames of leaves, hearts, love-knots, fruits or flowers of the tree, which helps the display, emulate a natural tree. The tree is expandable and capable of displaying any number of generations. It provides a way to use photos that are readily available of family members: without requiring new ones and it provides an inconspicuous and clear alternative for missing pictures. It accommodates the growth of families, through marriages, unions and births. Lastly, the picture frames and indicia tags contain a place for names and dates.
