Publication number: 20170217426Abstract: A method of automatically starting an internal combustion engine of a hybrid vehicle includes defining a rotational engine speed profile to represent a desired engine speed during a starting event with a hybrid system controller, and communicating the rotational engine speed profile to an engine controller. The internal combustion engine is rotated with an electric propulsion motor of the hybrid vehicle. A spark correction offset is calculated with the engine controller based on the rotational engine speed profile. The internal combustion engine is fired with the calculated spark correction offset for a pre-determined number of firing events, with the engine controller, as the rotational speed of the engine increases. The rotational speed of the internal combustion engine is controlled with the hybrid system controller after the pre-determined number of firing events.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 3, 2016Publication date: August 3, 2017Applicant: GM GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS LLCInventor: R. Publication number: 20170217472Abstract: This specification relates to a snowmobile. Each of the right suspension and the left suspension includes a damper capable of expanding and contracting according to the vertical movement of the lower arm and a spring that exerts spring force in the expansion/contraction direction of the damper. The cylinder of the right damper and the cylinder of the left damper are connected to each other through a hydraulic fluid channel so that the hydraulic fluid flows between the cylinder of the right damper and the cylinder of the left damper. This snowmobile can reduce the difference in contact pressure on snow surface between the left ski and the right ski, when the vehicle turns.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 2, 2017Publication date: August 3, 2017Inventors: Seiji SAWAI, Takashi IMAMURA, Atsushi YASUDA

Publication number: 20170217474Abstract: Construction is achieved that is able to effectively prevent the displacement in the axial direction of a ball bearing 16 that supports the middle section of a pinion shaft 6 so as to be able to rotate freely, and that is compact and low cost. A fastening groove 28b is formed around the entire circumference of a portion near an opening of the inner circumferential surface of a sub housing section 12c of a casing 10c, and a radially outside portion of a C-shaped retaining ring 29b is fastened in this fastening groove 28b. As a result, a side surface in the axial direction of a radially inside portion of the retaining ring 29b is pressed against a side surface in the axial direction of an outer ring 18 of a ball bearing 16 that is fitted inside and supported by the inner circumferential surface of the sub housing section 12c.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 20, 2017Publication date: August 3, 2017Applicant: NSK Ltd.Inventor: Masato IWAKAWA
