Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating a passenger catering system by using a server, the server comprising a processor and a memory unit, wherein the processor is connected to the memory unit and wherein the processor is configured to execute the following steps: receiving first input data from a passenger interface device; comparing the first input data with stock data in a database stored in the memory unit; and transmitting first output data to a crew interface device; wherein the first output data comprise data on available stock coinciding with the received first input data. The invention also relates to a passenger catering system for a passenger transport vehicle operated via the server.

Abstract: Disclosed is an approach for managing a transition from the first site to a destination merchant site and a deep link state. A method aspect includes receiving an interaction from a user with an object associated with an advertisement for a product, the advertisement being presented via a first site presented within a browser, transitioning the user from the first site to a destination merchant site in a deep link state. The transitioning process includes retrieving data from the browser and using the data from the browser to enable the user to transition from the first site to the destination merchant site in the deep link state. The deep link state enables the user to purchase the product via an interaction with a purchase object without manually entering payment account data or user address data. The deep link state can enable a “one click” purchasing experience after the transition from the first site.

Abstract: A system for sharing at least one selected wearable with at least one selected user on a network, the system including a server configured to receive requests to share selected wearables from one of a plurality of client devices and communicate to the at least one selected user, the server comprising: a first database configured to store a plurality of avatars; and at least one database configured to store a plurality of wearable models; a plurality of client devices communicatively coupled to the server, each of the client devices having a processor configured to: receive an avatar and the model of the wearable for an associated user; morph the clothing to fit the personalized data for each of the at least one target user in response to the sharing request; and render the image of the clothed body for each of the at least one target.

Abstract: A virtual reality scene corresponding to a physical scene is displayed. The virtual reality scene includes a plurality of objects. The plurality of objects is selectable by a user and is built from a plurality of images representing varied views of the plurality of objects in the physical scene. The user is enabled to navigate within the virtual reality scene to observe the virtual reality scene from at least two perspectives. The user is enabled to rotate at least one of the plurality of objects within the virtual reality scene about at least one axis. A selection received from the user corresponds to at least one of the plurality of objects within the virtual reality scene. In response to the selection, additional information about a selected at least one of the plurality of objects is displayed. The additional information includes at least one of a link to buy and a link to bid on the selected at least one of the plurality of objects.

Abstract: The invention comprises an electronic auction method and system which determines a first number of bids that must be received, the receipt of which will end a reserve period of a first electronic auction and determines at least one additional number of bids that must be received, the receipt of which will end at least one additional electronic auction. The method and system simultaneously displays the first electronic auction and the at least one additional electronic auction, wherein the end point of the at least one additional electronic auction is displayed within the display of the first electronic auction. The system and method ends each additional electronic auction upon receipt of the predetermined number of bids for that auction and ends the first electronic auction after all additional electronic auctions displayed within the first electronic auction have ended.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for managing information relating to recycling activities are described. One embodiment described herein is directed to a method for accessing aggregated recycling information for use and/or display in connection with an account-based recycling program. The method comprises receiving first and second container information, the first container information concerning a plurality of first containers for a first recycling transaction and the second container information concerning a plurality of second containers for a second recycling transaction. The first and second container information is stored and associated account information concerning at least one consumer account. The method further comprises accessing, in response to receiving a query relating to a plurality of recycling transactions, information relating to at least the first and second containers so as to enable the use and/or display of aggregated recycling information.

Abstract: A web-based, research tool that allows users to build dashboards combining screening analysis and event driven analysis is disclosed. The screening criteria can include both fundamental and significant technical analysis events. Users may build their own dashboards on whatever instruments they desire that are within the system. A dashboard is a set of selected tickers organized by event dates. Each ticker on the dashboard displays up to eight technical indicators. At least one of the technical indicators are derived from company insider information originating within social media, and the visual mapping is constructed as a time-sequenced, set of squares colored with a limited set of colors representing a set of conditions uniform to all technical indicators and juxtaposed as a map to predict the price direction of stocks and other assets.

Abstract: An electronic trading venue (ETV) may prioritize maker orders that specify or are associated with cancel delay values by selecting a maker order to be matched with taker orders before competing maker orders, at the same price level for a given instrument, that have smaller or no cancel delay values. Such prioritization may occur even if the competing maker orders were received before the maker order. A cancel delay value indicates an amount of time that must pass after a request to cancel a maker order is received before the ETV actually cancels the maker order. Thus, in exchange for prioritization, maker orders will be subject to a cancellation delay that starts after a cancel request is received and during which a maker order will not be canceled. Takers may benefit from this by being able to match with a maker order before it can be canceled.

In another embodiment, orders can be entered, manipulated, and/or canceled in conjunction with, or separately from, the object. Single and combination gestures can be used to perform one or more commands for entering orders and viewing market data. In one embodiment, multiple displays from one or more different types of computing devices are used in conjunction with each other for operating and/or displaying a portion of the aspects of the disclosed technology. In another embodiment, a filter component is used to show select market data and to enter or trigger specific types of market orders.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for communicating and processing market data. The market data may comprise quotes, orders, trades and/or statistics. A messaging structure allows for adding, re-ordering and/or expanding data, within the printable character set of any language. One or more delimiters are defined and used to delimit data elements within the message structure. The data is interpreted based on templates which may be disseminated prior to the sending of messages and used as an abstraction so that the meaning of data need not be conveyed in the message.

Abstract: A system allowing traders, etc. to use instant messaging (IM) (or other non-FIX based) communications to input trading instructions directly into a broker's Order Management System (OMS) for managing/executing trades. Accordingly, trading instructions may be provided electronically directly from a buy-side trader, and directly to a sell-side broker's/brokerage's OMS, without the need for the sell-side broker to manually re-key the order into the sell-side firm's OMS. Further, trading instructions are provided in electronic format directly to the broker's OMS without the need for the buy-side trader to have an expensive FIX based OMS or associated FIX connection, which is also expensive, thereby allowing relatively smaller investment houses/buy-side organizations to enjoy the benefits of electronic delivery of trading instructions directly to brokers' OMS.

Abstract: Systems and methods for implementing a physical model simulating a comparative assessment of resources, the system provides a flexible mechanism to physically model in real or near-real time a comparative analysis of a valuation of a number of resources, simulating a comparison between a resource comprising the model with one or more other resources. A test suite running on a network mimics hypothetical evaluations in an interactive environment and determines how particular proportions of assets affect the allocation of resources in the environment. The disclosed systems and methods comprise a physical model and network which is enabled to be self-supporting.

Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for automatic generation and mediation of a personalized, short term insurance policy offer is disclosed. The method enables users to identify a service or activity within the system, and request, receive, and accept personalized, short-term accident insurance policy offers covering the identified activity or service. Users of the system and method can identify, request, receive and accept said insurance policy offers through a user interface. The system and method combines information about an identified service or activity; information about the user; and information provided by insurance providers; in order to mediate a direct, personalized offer from insurance companies to the user.

Abstract: The present disclosure is generally directed to a method and system for collaboratively managing workflow. According to various implementations a first computing device (e.g., a server) displaying a first instance of a user interface on a second computing device (e.g., transmitting a web page with the user interface to a client). The user interface includes a plurality of tiles organized into a plurality of linear arrays (e.g., a plurality of rows or a plurality of columns). Each tile represents a project (e.g., a reinsurance program) and each linear array represents a stage of a process to be carried out for the project (e.g., a stage in a reinsurance process). Abstract: Systems and methods for earnings alerts include using a history of earnings by a content provider to generate an earnings forecast model. The earnings forecast model predicts future earnings by the content provider. An earnings alert is generated and provided to a device associated with the content provider based on a determination that the current earnings of the provider differ from the predicted earnings by a threshold amount.

Abstract: Systems and methods are shown for multi-book accounting involving first and second accounting books, processing real-time transactions received through a network by applying a first set of accounting rules corresponding to the first accounting book to the real-time transactions to produce the first accounting book, and applying a second set of accounting rules corresponding to the second accounting book to the real-time transaction to produce the second accounting book, where the second set of accounting rules differs from the first set of accounting rules. A user interface provides real-time access to the first and second accounting books. A user may define the second set of accounting rules and book specific attributes in the general ledger to produce the second accounting book.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for improving the handling and interaction of charge events in a business using services of a multi-tenant computing platform, such as accounting, CRM, ERP, and the like. Embodiments are directed to implementing and using a charge record to enable efficient use of charges originating from multiple sources to generate reports and forecasts for multiple other services and/or recipients. In one embodiment, the charge record defines a single-source of data which enables maintaining critical business information in synchronization through a single repository of data. One aspect is to define a single abstraction, the charge record, which all sources can create. Abstract: The present invention provides a linear and gradual (LG) tax rate system with a tax processor for tax software products. Existing two tax systems of federal individual Tax Schedules and Tax Table/Tax Computation Worksheet are simplified and combined into one LG tax rate system. The tax processor and software product are designed for taxpayers (employees, employers or self-employments) to file tax returns, for employers to do payroll to employees and transfer withholding taxes to governments or for governments to inspect tax returns by comparing tax withholding reports and tax returns according to related standards instead of existing random selections. Differences of taxes, tax rates and taxable incomes are set at low, mid and high levels for tax return options, quick tax refunds, regular inspections and detail audits to reduce tax returns and potential tax crimes and save tax processing time and costs (billions) for businesses, individuals and governments.

Abstract: A financial simulation tool for use in adjusting operations of a business. In some embodiments the financial simulation tool uses information regarding a total amount of business and a percentage of business in each of two business segments comprising the business to generate simulated financial statements. Abstract: A system is described herein that facilitates the easy scheduling and conducting of prison visitations. The system provides a remotely-accessible means for visitors to authenticate themselves, check the availability of those they wish to visit, and schedule a visit with that individual. As part of this process, the system tracks the availability of prison inmates as well as the devices and visit sites that are available to those inmates. In this manner, the system can quickly identify the availability of different inmates in order to provide on-demand scheduling capabilities to potential visitors. The system is connected to multiple facilities as well as public networks, and therefore can be remotely accessed. Additionally, the system also functions to monitor visits while they are in progress, as well as to store visit recordings for future review. Because the system is networked, remote monitors can access the review system in order to monitor visits or review recordings.

The system generates a query based on the determined query format and transmits the query to the database. The system receives a search result from the database and analyzes the search result. The analyzed search result is transmitted to a user device and is presented as an alert to a user. The alert includes a threat level of the individual or a status of the item.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method implements a loyalty program across multiple lottery jurisdictions, wherein each jurisdiction issues lottery tickets with one or more barcode formats. A database is created that includes a library of the different lottery ticket barcode formats issued by each lottery jurisdiction, and is updated at defined time intervals with the current barcode formats used in the different jurisdictions. For entry into the loyalty program, an interface allows consumers from the various lottery jurisdictions to scan a barcode from a lottery ticket purchased in one of the lottery jurisdictions and transmit the scanned barcode image to a processor. The processor compares format of the scanned barcode in the transmitted image to a library of barcode formats. The processor credits an account in the loyalty program assigned to the consumer with credit for the scanned lottery ticket only if the format of the scanned barcode matches one of the barcode formats saved in the database.

The method selects a point in the content stream where the first segment is likely to end and the second segment to begin, samples the stream to obtain a first set of samples that is before the chosen point and a second set of samples that is after the chosen point, and detects the payload on a combination of the first set and a transformation of the second set, where the transformation is based on the assumption that the second set is from the second segment and exploits the relationship that exists between the payloads in the first and second segments.

Abstract: Techniques to sort events of a graphics workload executed by a graphics processing unit to provide identification of events, that if addressed, may result in an improvement in performance are disclosed. The techniques can include: generating a signature and a weight for each event of a graphics workload; generating an event priority tree by organizing the events into parent and leaf nodes, where parent nodes comprise leaf nodes having a shared hash; and sorting frames based on a global weight of events corresponding to the frames.

Abstract: A server and methods for performing an ultra-high resolution pan-scan on displays connected across multiple client GPUs are provided. In one embodiment, one of the methods includes: 1) rendering a surface that exceeds resolutions of displays connected to multiple client GPUs; 2) receiving viewport coordinates of one of the displays that is connected to one of the multiple client GPUs; 3) encoding only a portion of the surface that corresponds to the viewport coordinates; 4) sending the portion to the one of the multiple client GPUs.

Abstract: A graphics processing system comprises a memory that stores graphics data. The graphics data stored in the memory is accessible using virtual memory addresses that map to physical memory addresses in the memory. The graphics processing system further comprises page merging circuitry configured to use metadata provided for a set of graphics data to determine whether any pages of the set of graphics data are similar to each other. The pages of the set of graphics data that are determined as being similar to each other are merged by mapping the virtual memory addresses for those pages to the same physical memory address in the memory. The page merging process can provide a way to reduce the number of physical memory addresses needed to store the pages of the set of graphics data in the memory.

Abstract: A graphics processing system comprises a pair of graphics processing units that are connected to each other via communications bridges that can allow communication between the connected graphics processing units. One of the graphics processing units is operable to act as a master graphics processing unit controlling graphics processing operations on the other graphics processing unit which is operable as a slave graphics processing unit to perform graphics processing operations under the control of the master graphics processing unit.
