Abstract: Systems and techniques for minimize drive testing measurements. Network elements including UEs and eNBs are configured to define measurement procedures to determine control plane latency affecting scheduling requests, RACH procedures, and combinations thereof. Upon initiation of a request for uplink resources, such as a scheduling request or a RACH procedure, a UE notes the time of the request and measures the time until its fulfillment. If a scheduling request fails, a RACH procedure may be performed and in such cases, the time from initiation of the scheduling request, through its failure, until successful completion of the RACH procedure may be measured. Once a measurement has been made, the measured duration and other associated information are assembled and analyzed, and when the measurement and other information meets criteria for inclusion in a measurement report, the report is assembled and sent, or logged for sending, to an eNB.

Abstract: An apparatus for determining information on a power variation of a transmit signal comprises a power amplifier module, an antenna module and a power variation determining module. The power amplifier module amplifies a radio frequency transmit signal and the antenna module transmits at least partly the amplified radio frequency transmit signal. The power variation determining module determines a weighted sum of a first feedback signal derived from the amplified radio frequency transmit signal and a second feedback signal derived from the amplified radio frequency transmit signal. The first feedback signal and the second feedback signal comprise different dependencies on a varying impedance at the antenna module. Further, the power variation determining module generates a power variation signal based on the weighted sum. The power variation signal comprises information related to a power variation of the amplified radio frequency transmit signal.

Abstract: A UE registers with a paging hub to a message forwarding service that is configured to forward information from messages wirelessly transmitted by two or more RANs associated with different RAT-types to the UE over a local wireless network that is separate from the two or more RANs. The UE refrains from monitoring a set of downlink wireless channels used by the two or more RANs while the paging hub monitors the set of downlink wireless channels on behalf of the UE. The paging hub detects a signaling message that is targeted to the UE by a given RAN, and forwards a message including information derived from the signaling message to the local wireless network for transmission to the UE. The UE receives the forwarded message and selectively communicates with the given RAN in response to the received message.
