Abstract: A golf club counter-weighting system, viable for both original manufacture and after-marketing, features an expandable weight assembly that is easily installed at a designated location within a golf club shaft and expanded via a user tool so as to become reliably secured in place by frictional pressure against the surrounding shaft. In a primary embodiment, the weight assembly is made to be threadedly engagable by the opposite end of a dual-function user tool enabling the weight assembly, when unexpanded, to be conveniently moved axially for initial installation, relocation and/or removal.

Abstract: A sports and games apparatus consisting of two rods and an aerodynamic projectile with an opening which receives the two rods. The projectile is launched by manipulating the rods in an opposing fashion. The opening of the projectile is of the appropriate size to allow for the rods to slide through, but not large enough that the projectile exhibits unwanted motions that inhibit accuracy during the launching motion. The rods are used to propel the projectile towards a variety of targets which interact with the projectile in various ways. The projectile may comprise a multitude of aerodynamic shapes and a multitude of methods for interacting with targets.

Abstract: An instrumented, swing path adjustable, angle-adjustable batting tee is disclosed that measures both a bat speed and a ball exit velocity as a hitter swings a bat and initiates contact with a ball positioned on the tee. A bat speed radar detector is coupled to the tee and positioned within proximity of the ball set on the tee so that the bat speed radar detector measures the bat speed upon the bat initiating contact with the ball. A ball exit velocity radar is coupled to the tee and positioned within proximity of a ball flight of the ball as it leaves the bat so that the ball exit velocity radar measures the ball exit velocity of the ball in-flight after contact between the bat and the ball. The ball flight is a path that the ball travels after contact between the bat and a baseball or softball.

Abstract: A hockey training apparatus may comprise a backrest that may be interchangeable with a seat. The backrest may support the back of a user during use. A harness may comprising one or two straps connected to the backrest and be used to encircle the waist of the user. The user may pedal and practice puck stickhandling techniques that include moving the puck in front of the frame between a right side and a left side of the hockey training apparatus. The frame of the hockey training apparatus may comprise a back section in contact with a floor and a backrest tube for mounting and supporting a backrest post of the adjustable backrest. The frame may also have a middle section for mounting and supporting the crankset, pedals and axle and a front section in contact with the floor, but preferably without any handles or other structures in front of the user that would interfere with side to side movement of a hockey stick by the user.

Abstract: The present invention comprises a unique system and method for providing adaptable ball delivery and tracking, including appropriate sensor hardware, interactive gameplay user interfaces and point of sales systems. The system and method of the present invention are especially relevant to baseball and softball as, among other components, the system comprises a vertical, ground-up soft toss ball delivery mechanism, automated player and ball-tracking devices, and ball-collection and transport systems. The ball collection and return components eliminate the need for “fielders” and enable the creation of the first “batting range”. The vertical, ground-up soft-toss pitch machine further enables the first multi-story batting facility with player batting bays that open onto a sports field. Further, certain embodiments of the present invention integrate hitting screens, augmented reality display and simultaneous coordination of gameplay and communication between players, regardless of the players' physical location.

Abstract: A mission-based cyber training platform allows both offensive and defensive oriented participants to test their skills in a game-based virtual environment against a live or virtual opponent. The system builds realistic virtual environments to perform the training in an isolated and controlled setting. Dynamic configuration supports unique missions using a combination of real and/or virtual machines, software resources, tools, and network components. Game engine behaves in a manner that will vary if participant attempts to replay a scenario based upon alternate options available to the engine. Scoring and leader boards are used to identify skill gaps/strengths and measure performance for each training participant. A detailed assessment of a player's performance is provided at the end of the mission and is stored in a user profile/training record.
