Abstract: A new cultivar of Podocarpus macrophyllus, ‘Miu’, that is characterized by its growth tips and leaves that are yellow-white in color, its variegated foliage that is mottled with yellow and green throughout the leaves, its straight trunk with medium tapering, and its limited branching without pruning.
Abstract: A new cultivar of Podocarpus macrophyllus, ‘Sosa’, that is characterized by its new growth tips and leaves that are reddish brown in color in spring and fall, its mature tree trunk cracks in a tortoise shell pattern, its leaves that are short in length and medium in width, its straight trunk with medium tapering, and its limited branching without pruning.
Abstract: A new cultivar of Parrotia tree, ‘Chrishaven1’, that is characterized by its upright and columnar plant habit, its foliage that turns deep yellow in color (with apricot-red markings) in the fall, its strong angled branches that withstand wind and snow, its strong apical dominance, and its ability to be readily propagated from stem cuttings.
Abstract: A new and distinct Quercus cultivar named ‘CORLEY'S FIRECRACKER’ is disclosed, characterized by having a broad pyramidal, moderately compact growth habit and red new growth, both in Spring and Summer. The new variety is a Quercus, normally produced as a small ornamental tree or shrub.
Abstract: A new Clematis plant with a compact growth habit, profuse, light pink flowers, and continuous summer flowering. The variety successfully propagates from softwood cuttings and is suitable for cultivation in commercial nursery culture. This new and distinct variety has shown to be uniform and stable in the resulting generations from asexual propagation from vegetative cuttings.
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of an ornamental Ipomoea plant named ‘Balspotred’, characterized by bronzed-burgundy foliage, and moderately vigorous, compact, mounded to trailing growth habit, is disclosed.
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of an ornamental Ipomoea plant named ‘Balspotime’, characterized by lime-green colored foliage, and moderately vigorous, compact, mounded to trailing growth habit, is disclosed.
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of Alstroemeria plant named ‘Koncafire’, characterized by its compact and mounding plant habit; sturdy and strong plants; vigorous growth habit and rapid growth rate; freely branching habit; numerous bright red-colored flowers with dark purple-colored stripes; and good garden performance.
Abstract: ‘UF13-26-7’ is a new coleus plant distinguished by having consistent, bright orange-bronze colored leaves, a vigorous but compact growth habit, and no flowering characteristics, as disclosed herein.
Abstract: A new cultivar of hybrid Coreopsis named ‘Lauren’ characterized by its densely bushy plant habit reaching an average of 40 cm in height and 50 cm in width, its observed sterility, its floriferous and long bloom season that does not require deadheading with bloom commences in late June and lasts until frost in Kensington, Conn., its medium sized inflorescences with ray florets that are light yellow in color, its lack of requirement for vernalization to initiate flowering, its cold hardiness to at least U.S.D.A. Zone 5, and its resistance to powdery mildew and leaf spot.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to compounds effective as human protein tyrosine phosphatase beta (HPTP-?) inhibitors thereby regulating angiogenesis. The present disclosure further relates to compositions comprising said human protein tyrosine phosphatase beta (HPTP-?) inhibitors, and to methods for regulating angiogenesis.

Abstract: A filter element for filtering liquids or gases, having a concentrically arranged filter medium with zigzag pleats. The filter medium is provided with end disks on its axial end faces, each end disk having an inside that is connected to the filter medium and an outside that faces away from the filter medium. At least a first end disk carries a valve element which is situated concentrically inside the filter medium. This valve element includes a valve seat which bulges outward above the plane of the outer side of the end disk. The valve element includes a valve body which cooperates with the valve seat and which is arranged on the first end disk so that it is axially movable and is inside of and surrounded by the filter medium.
Abstract: A barrier structure for use in an electrochemical stochastic membrane sensor for single molecule detection. The sensor is based upon inorganic nanopores having electrically tunable dimensions. The inorganic nanopores are formed from inorganic materials and an electrically conductive polymer. Methods of making the barrier structure and sensing single molecules using the barrier structure are also described.

Abstract: Disclosed is a low-cost, compact image pickup lens for a solid-state image pickup element. The image pickup lens includes, in the order from an object side, a first lens L1, which has a convex surface facing the object side on an optical axis and has a positive refractive power; a second lens L2, which has a concave surface facing an image side on the optical axis and has a negative refractive power; a third lens L3, which has a convex surface facing the object side on the optical axis and has a meniscus shape; a fourth lens L4, which has a convex surface facing the image side on the optical axis, has a positive refractive power, and has a meniscus shape; and a fifth lens L5, which has a concave surface facing the image side on the optical axis, has a negative refractive power, and has a meniscus shape.
Abstract: The invention provides a developer cartridge with a counting mechanism. The developer cartridge comprises a developer and the counting mechanism, wherein the counting mechanism is provided with protrusions which come in contact with a contact lever on an electronic photographing device so as to count the developer cartridge; and each protrusion has a first position and a second position in the direction perpendicular to a side wall of the developer cartridge, and is, in the first position, in contact with the contact lever, but is not, in the second position, in contact with the contact lever. The working principle of the developer cartridge adopting the counting mechanism is greatly different from the prior art. Therefore, the structure of the counting mechanism of the developer cartridge is simpler and more convenient and reliable; the production precision and the production cost are reduced; and the market competitiveness of the developer cartridge is improved.
Abstract: An agricultural tillage implement has a disk frame assembly connected to a pull hitch extending in a travel direction with frame members extending generally laterally with respect to the travel direction. At least one disk blade is connected to and supported by the frame members to till soil over which the agricultural tillage implement traverses. A disk scraper mounting member is connected to at least one frame member. A channel shaped disk scraper is connected to the disk scraper mounting member using a bolted joint connection. The channel shaped disk scraper has a square mounting end adjoining an inner perpendicular surface of the disk scraper mounting member. The channel shaped disk scraper is operable to scrape residue from the at least one disk blade and deflect it away from the travel direction.
