Abstract: A compressor (10) for compressing air for a compressed air system of a motor vehicle has a cylinder housing (14) and a cylinder head (16) connected thereto. A compressor piston is moveable in oscillation up and down in a cylinder in the cylinder housing (14). A lamella (34, 36) is received in a depression (38) in an underside (30) of the cylinder head (16) facing the compressor piston. The delivery rate of the compressor (10) can be regulated by closing or opening a control channel (60, 60?) in the cylinder head (16) via the lamella. A bearing end (44) of the lamella (34, 36) is hinged in a pivotably guided manner on a bearing contour (54) of this depression (38). As a result, a separate bearing journal for pivotable mounting of the lamella (34, 36) on the cylinder head (16) may be omitted.

Abstract: A submersible pneumatic canister pump system for pumping liquid from a tank or underground location by incorporating a floating ball valve inside the pump for preventing air from exiting with the liquid discharge. The floating ball valve is located near the lower end of the pump and communicates with the discharge pipe. When liquid level approaches the lower end of the pump a ball of lighter density than the liquid rests on a seat and prevents further discharge of liquid and the passage of air out of the pump. Also shown are various pump control arrangements that can be used to operate the pump.

Abstract: Slip joint clamps seat on a diffuser end via external features of the diffuser, like guide ears, regardless of slip joint wear or damage. The clamps can be opened and closed to surround an inlet mixer forming a slip joint with the diffuser without disassembly. Slip joint clamps drive or bias the inlet mixer in a lateral direction largely perpendicular to the axial orientation and end of the diffuser to achieve a desired preload force in the inlet mixer and clamp connection. Clamp arms include rotatable halves that, when joined, form a complete fill between an inner surface of the diffuser and outer surface of the inlet mixer. A lateral drive pushes the inlet mixer against the clamp and may include a resistive element. An accessible set of guide ear bolts and lateral driving bolts permit exterior manipulation to axially mount or laterally bias the clamp in the slip joint.
