Abstract: A clutch cylinder in a hydraulic pressure system can be charged with a controlled rotational speed of a pump to deliver hydraulic fluid into the clutch cylinder until a biting point of the clutch is reached and exceeded and a motor current of the pump has attained a predetermined minimum value. On the basis of a profile of the controlled rotational speed, a first volume of the hydraulic fluid delivered into the clutch cylinder by the pump up is determined until the minimum value is attained. The value of the first volume can be reduced by a predetermined amount to a second volume, which can be used for clutch processes during vehicle operation, wherein the second volume is delivered into the clutch cylinder, with a high rotational speed of the pump, such that the clutch is filled such that the biting point of the clutch is not quite reached.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for determining and/or controlling a position of an electric motor, in particular in a clutch actuation system of a motor vehicle, wherein the position of a rotor of the electric motor is picked up by a sensor system situated on a stator of the electric motor outside an axis of rotation of the electric motor, and the position signal picked up by the sensor system is analyzed by an analysis unit. In a method in which the rotor position is detected with a high level of certainty, the position signal is transmitted to the analysis unit depending on a transmission distance between the sensor system and the analysis unit by means of an SPI protocol signal for short transmission distances, and/or by means of a PWM signal for longer transmission distances.

Abstract: An adjustable friction brake assembly may adjust a variable amount of frictional force required to translate or rotate a shaft, rather than merely locking or unlocking the shaft. The brake assembly includes a housing for internally receiving the shaft, the external portion of the housing including external threading leading into circumferentially spaced fingers extending axially and oriented radially inward to engage the shaft. The brake assembly includes a rotatable adjuster having an internally threaded throughbore for engaging the housing and directing the fingers radially inward to engage the shaft, thereby increasing the required frictional force. For example, by rotating the adjuster clockwise, the required force can be increased; similarly, by rotating the adjuster counterclockwise, the required force can be decreased.
