Abstract: A vehicle door structure includes two doors, a weatherstrip, a moving device and a control device. The two doors are disposed adjacently at a vehicle side portion with no pillar therebetween. The weatherstrip is provided at one of the doors and is disposed to change a distance between the weatherstrip and the other door. The moving device moves the weatherstrip in a direction of putting the weatherstrip into contact with and a direction of separating the weatherstrip from the other door. When it is determined that the two doors are closed and neither is opening or closing, the control device controls movement of the moving device to put the weatherstrip into contact with the other door. When a single door is closed and the counterpart door is opening or closing, the control device controls movement of the moving device in the direction of separating the weatherstrip from the other door.

Abstract: A locking mechanism is disclosed, which is installed in a movable rail of a window covering, and is passed through by a cord. The locking mechanism includes a locking unit and a pressing member, wherein the locking unit includes a stopping member which is movable between a first position and a second position. The stopping member is normally located at the first position to abut against the cord, which prevents the cord from moving relative to the locking mechanism, whereby to maintain the position of the movable rail. By pressing the pressing member, the stopping member is moved to the second position, where the stopping member no longer abuts against the cord. Therefore, when the movable rail is moved in a direction away from a fixed rail of the window covering, the cord can move relative to the locking mechanism. Whereby, the movable rail can be smoothly moved downward.

A processor generates steering commands for guiding the boring tool based on a bore plan in a steering mode such that at least some positional error is introduced without using the electromagnetic homing signal. Switching from the steering mode to the homing mode is based on monitoring of the electromagnetic homing signal as the boring tool approaches the portable device to then guide the boring tool to the target position location in compensation for the positional error. The flow control assembly is disposed along the tubing string and comprises a flow control valve and a motor to control the operational position of the flow control valve. The flow control valve may comprise a plunger and a seal system to provide a seal between the plunger and a surrounding structure. Additionally, the flow control valve comprises a pressure balanced system. The pressure balanced system serves to balance pressure acting on the plunger such that the motor is able to move the plunger by simply overcoming friction of the seal system without overcoming a pressure differential otherwise acting on the plunger.

Abstract: A system includes a hanger having a tapered radially-outer surface and a hanger sealing assembly configured to move between an unsealed position and a sealed position in which the hanger sealing assembly seals an annular space between the hanger and a housing of a wellhead. The hanger sealing assembly includes an annular sleeve, a first and second annular seal each comprising a respective tapered radially-inner surface configured to contact the tapered radially-outer surface of the hanger, and an annular seal-engaging sleeve. The annular seal-engaging sleeve is coupled to the first and second annular seals, and movement of the annular sleeve along an axial axis is configured to exert an axial force on the first annular seal, thereby causing the first and second annular seals to move axially and radially outward along the tapered radially-outer surface of the hanger to seal the annular space.

Abstract: A wellbore tubing string assembly with at least one port for communicating fluid between its inner bore and its exterior, can be actuated to move from a port-closed position to a port-exposed position using a series of deformable plugs of the same outer diameter that are placed in the inner bore, and that can deform so as to be squeezed through the inner bore, responsive to an application of force against each of the plugs. The plugs have an interference fit as they engage with the assembly at the inner bore. As a plug is squeezed through the inner bore and out of the assembly, its passage through the assembly is registered. When the number of plugs that have been so registered exceeds a predetermined threshold, the next plug that squeezes through the inner bore will cause the assembly to be actuated to the port-exposed position. The use of plugs having such an interference fit reduces the number of moving parts required to construct the assembly, which makes it more reliable and durable.

As the slip type casing elevator is hoisted, the casing tubular drops while attached to the first C-shaped setting plate setting the casing tubular in the slip type casing elevator while simultaneously (i) protecting each casing tubular as it is sequentially lowered into or pulled from the wellbore, and (ii) protecting an upsetting box with premium connections as the tubular is run into and out of a wellbore.

Abstract: In some aspects, the present invention comprises a system and method for optimizing the control scheme used for drilling operations based on the complex and large data sets available in realtime during operation of a wellsite and based on existing model data available at the wellsite for past similar drilling operations. Such optimizations typically require downtime to quantify how the realtime values will factor into the control model, but the present invention allows for such optimization in realtime in a closed-loop system that will reduce the non-productive time associated with reservoir operations.

Abstract: A technique facilitates formation of a gravel pack in a wellbore. Gravel slurry is delivered downhole to a desired gravel packing zone located along an annulus surrounding a gravel packing completion. Dehydration of the gravel pack is facilitated by providing a return flow path for a carrier fluid along drainage layers of adjacent screen assemblies. The drainage layers of adjacent screen assemblies are coupled by drainage layer shunt tubes which bypass corresponding couplings between the adjacent screen assemblies. In some applications, the drainage layer shunt tubes facilitate delivery of the returning carrier fluid to a sliding sleeve assembly.

Abstract: In accordance with embodiments of the present disclosure, a gravel pack system includes a service tool used to maintain a pressure of the wellbore below a hydraulic packer at the same pressure of workstring tubing above the hydraulic packer, prior to and during setting the hydraulic packer. The service tool includes a washpipe disposed at a lower portion of the service tool, a crossover port in a wall of the service tool that enables fluid to flow between workstring tubing and a space between the service tool and a completion string. The service tool also includes a valve disposed in the wall of the service tool that directs fluid from the space between the service tool and the completion string into the service tool and toward the washpipe when the valve is open, the valve being closeable in response to compression of the service tool.

Abstract: An expansion tool includes a housing and a hydraulic power section for stroking a first expander on a pulling mandrel through a bore of an expandable outer clad, the expansion tool including a ratcheting reaction assembly, having a ratchet rack and a ratcheting component thereon, that engages a proximal end of the outer clad to prevent axial movement of the outer clad as the first expander is drawn through a portion of the bore of the outer clad to expand the outer clad. The ratcheting reaction assembly remains engaged with the proximal end of the outer clad as the housing is repositioned uphole to permit staged expansion of the outer clad using the first expander. The expansion tool improves sealing and structure integrity of the expanded outer clad within the casing by maintaining the outer clad in a position throughout the staged expansion process.

Abstract: A horizontal directional drilling rig is described. The rig can be entirely electrically powered. The performance (or “health”) and/or the life cycle of individual components of the rig can be electronically monitored. This permits identification of specific individual components that are performing in a substandard manner or are not performing properly or have reached the end of their life cycle. Individual improperly performing components or components at the end of their life cycle can thus be specifically identified. The improperly performing component(s) or components at the end of their life cycle can then be replaced. In some embodiments, when a component is identified as performing improperly, the operation of other, properly functioning components of the rig can be modified accordingly to account for the improperly performing component.
