Abstract: Polyesters compositions comprising gas barrier enhancing additives and containers comprising such polyester compositions are provided herein. Also provided are methods for preparing polyester containers comprising said gas barrier enhancing additives. The polyester containers of the present invention exhibit decreased permeability to gases thereby providing improved shelf-life.

The at least one insert is at least partially disposed in the interior of the carton adjacent the at least one corner to reinforce the carton, and includes a first panel, a second panel, and an intermediate portion between the first panel and the second panel. Each of the first panel and the second panel is attached to a respective panel of the plurality of panels and the intermediate portion is free from attachment to the plurality of panels.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a packaging box including: a main body having at least an upper surface and an inner space; and a handle disposed on the upper surface of the main body, wherein the upper surface is disposed to be dented inwardly so as to be apart from the handle. The packaging box has the folding line formed on the upper surface so as to make the upper surface dented inwardly by the user's pressing and make the upper surface and the handle spaced apart from each other such that the user can easily insert his or her finger therebetween, thereby remarkably improving user convenience. The packaging box sufficiently shields the inner space from the outside because the upper surface maintains sealing force when the upper surface is dented in order to form the finger insertion space, thereby effectively preventing the inflow of contaminants so as to maximize user satisfaction.

Abstract: A child resistant package is made from paperboard, cardboard or other foldable sheet material. The package includes an outer sleeve having a closed end and an opposed open end and an inner sleeve, telescopically received within the outer sleeve. The inner sleeve has a closed end adjacent the open end of the outer sleeve. The inner sleeve is joined to the outer sleeve by a frangible connection. The package further includes a selectively releasable lock between the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve for preventing withdrawal of the inner sleeve from the outer sleeve after the frangible connection between the inner sleeve and the outer sleeve has been broken.

Abstract: A corrugated paperboard box is provided in which when flaps are bent, a perforated line along which the flaps can be separated from the box is less likely to break. Such a corrugated paperboard box includes a peripheral wall and top flaps, and is formed, at the boundary area between the peripheral wall and the top flaps, with a groove-shaped reverse scoreline recessed on the side of an outer linerboard, and a pair of groove-shaped recesses recessed on the side of an inner linerboard, and extending in parallel to each other so as to sandwich the area in which the reverse scoreline extends. The corrugated paperboard box is further formed, in one of the groove-shaped recesses, with a perforated line along which the top flaps can be separated from the peripheral wall. The top flaps can be bent along the perforated line toward the inner surface of the peripheral wall.

Lift-off hinges allow lid removal only after a predetermined rotation. Seals, a one-way breather valve, and a gas inlet allow the interior of the enclosure to be purged. A friction brake on the product storage container has an integrated O-ring contact surface and a housing enclosing complementary acme threads for moving the brake. A transfer cart includes a rail on the lift arm to support the product storage container during movement, and alignment and docking mechanisms on a transfer end effector of the lift are for docking with either a storage spaced on a storage rack or a transfer space on a pass-through.

As a result of the simultaneous opening and pouring ability facilitated by the multiple-opening container, the time for mixing of multiple materials, such as beverages, fluids, powders or other like contents, can be suitably reduced. In addition, the de-carbonization and/or deterioration or other side affects caused from pre-mixing of the contents can be eliminated. In accordance with another exemplary embodiment, engagement portion can comprise a snap clip and a ring portion configured for sealed coupling to a material containing compartment. Second compartment can be suitably filled within beverages or other materials, and then positioned within the container portion and sealed or otherwise coupled by the engagement portion.

Abstract: A cap arranged to interact with a spout has a top portion, a sidewall portion depending from the top portion and formed in one piece therewith. The sidewall portion has an interior threading arranged to interact with exterior threading of the neck during an opening operation and during a closing operation. The cap further has a tamper evidence, which is removably attached to the sidewall portion having cutting elements with a first end hingedly attached to the sidewall portion and a free end portion arranged to interact with a membrane portion of the spout. The hinged attachment allows for the cutting element to pivot in an axial direction. Further, the free end portion has a blunt tip and a comparatively sharper cutting edge on a lateral side of the free end portion.

Various seal constructions are described for sealing a case body portion against a case lid portion. The respective sealing surfaces of the case lid portion and case body portion are complementary, but spaced. A continuous elastomeric seal is provided in the seal space between the complementary sealing surfaces. The seal is configured to be compressed along the entire sealing length of the sealing surface when the case lid portion is pivoted into the latched position. The compressed elastomeric seal provides a spring force that retains the latch in the latched position and a spring force that is resolved into sealing vectors perpendicular to the sealing surface along the entire length of the sealing surface to ensure a seal along the sealing surface.

The central conformable layer is encased within a first sheet on one side, and a second sheet on the opposite side. The three layers move in unison. The outer first sheet and second sheet are generally impermeable to liquids and solids, and allow the flexible sheet to be cleaned and reused. In some cases, the flexible sheet material can be folded or formed into a storage bag. Various methods of making the reusable flexible sheet are also disclosed.

The biaxially oriented film is a biaxially oriented nylon film or a biaxially oriented polyethylene terephthalate film. The package film also comprises an interior layer comprising a sealant film, and a pattern connection layer positioned between and directly adjacent each of the exterior layer and the interior layer. The pattern connection layer comprises a solvent-based adhesive or a water-based adhesive. The package film has a secant modulus greater than 120,000 psi and an elongation at break of less than 150%. The package film is adapted to form an evacutable storage bag. Various embodiments of the package films are also described.

Abstract: A glove packaging comprises a container for holding the gloves and a barrier positioned to cover at least a portion of an opening in the container. The barrier protects the gloves from airborne particles and other materials or contaminants that may contaminate the gloves prior to removal from the packaging. The barrier also includes an antimicrobial material for protecting the gloves from microorganisms, pathogens or other materials or contaminants that come in contact with the barrier to further reduce the possibility of contamination.

Abstract: Delivering items to users by a delivery organization comprises a recyclable delivery container suitable to hold multiple items at different temperatures for the duration of the delivery. The delivery container may be a cube or a rectangular prism constructed of an insulating material. The delivery organization may position panels in the delivery container to separate two or three compartments of the delivery container, each compartment to be cooled to a different temperature than the others. The panels are constructed of an insulating material created by recyclable layers of cardboard and plastic. The delivery organization determines an appropriate coolant to cool all three compartments based on heat transfer requirements of the compartments and positions the coolant in the bottom of the first compartment. The items are placed in the appropriate compartments of the delivery container. Vents can be provided to relieve pressure created by the coolant.

Pivoting movement of the multidirectional pushbar is converted into an actuating force by a transfer mechanism, which may include a vertically movable carriage. In other embodiments, the multidirectional pushbar may include ramped surfaces and may support a carriage having rolling elements. Lateral movement of the multidirectional pushbar causes the carriage to roll up the ramped surfaces and actuate a pump to dispense a product.

The second region overlies the lid and includes a peripheral portion where the second layer extends beyond the lid. The peripheral portion of the second layer is separable from the first layer and can be used to lift the lid into the open position. The peripheral portion can be resealed against the first layer.
