Abstract: A set of documents is parsed. Members of the set of documents include a set of text elements and a set of visual elements. A text content stream based on the set of text elements and a visual content stream based on the set of visual elements are produced. For respective documents, a set of respective visual element summarizations is built from the visual content stream. Each visual summarization includes a text description of a respective visual element in the respective document. A holistic index is created by indexing the text content from the text content stream and the text descriptions of the visual elements in a single search index. The indexing uses a set of semantic relationships between the text content from the text content stream and the textual descriptions of the visual elements. A user interface allows a user to selectively search text content and visual content.

Abstract: A method synchronizes related data across networked host devices. At each of a first and a second host device, string vectors are created for each document stored within the host device. The respective set of string vectors are encoded using a two-dimensional hash, where a first dimension of the two-dimensional hash stores string vector differences between all elements that reside in a symmetric difference and a second dimension of the two-dimensional hash stores one string vector from the symmetric difference. The respective encoded set of string vectors is transmitted to the other host device, which then decodes the respective encoded set of string vectors received to arrive at the symmetric difference. The host device determines which string vectors it is missing and requests from the other host device the missing documents pertaining to the missing string vectors. More particularly, the techniques provide a model of multiphase flow in a complex pipeline and its solution acquired using the Jacobian-Free Newton-Krylov (JFNK) method by way of non-limiting example. The fully implicit formulation framework described in this work enables to efficiently solve governing fluid flow equations. The framework can reduce the multiphase flow model in zones or cells of the pipe that exhibit phase disappearance based on the phase state distributions over the cells. The model of multiphase flow can include a model for single-phase cells that is different from a model for multiphase cells, and the proper model can be selected (or switched) as the phase characteristics of the multiphase flow of the cells change over time. A transient two-fluid model can be used to verify and validate the proposed algorithm for conditions of terrain-induced slug flow regime.

Abstract: Integrated circuits (ICs) rely on static timing analysis during their design to ensure that they will operate at desired frequencies. Delays between sequential elements (e.g., latches and flip-flops) are constrained to meet target clock periods. Certain signals, however, such as untimed nets may be excluded from timing constraints if the circuit function does not require these nets to switch and propagate to sequential elements within the clock period. However, a signal marked as “untimed” may have been mistakenly specified by the designer as an untimed net. To verify that an untimed net does not negatively impact the function of the design logic, the embodiments herein generate upstream and downstream event networks using shadow logic that corresponds to design logic upstream and downstream of the untimed net. A metastability network coupled to these networks is used to model nondeterminism and metastability resulting from transitions or potential glitches on the untimed net.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for analysis of a repair for a structure by identifying component parts of the structure that have common material properties and geometric constraints, and based thereon determining a generic repair component for the component parts that also have the common material properties and the geometric constraints. A set of loads are extracted from a loads model of the undamaged structure and redistributed in a loads redistribution model at a damaged or defective portion of the component part. The set of redistributed loads indicate loading incurred by the generic repair component under an external load. The apparatus then uses the redistributed loads to perform an analysis to determine a margin of safety of the generic repair component and, in instances in which the margin of safety is positive, outputs the material properties and geometric constraints of the generic repair component to a fabrication system for production thereof.

Abstract: A genotyping device includes a representative value calculator, a first labeler, a model creator, a second labeler. The representative value calculator calculates a representative value for each of one or more clusters with respect to each of a plurality of SNPs. The representative value being calculated based on signal intensities of specimens included in each of the clusters. The first labeler assigns genotypes to clusters of an SNP pertaining to three clusters among the SNPs on basis of the representative values of the clusters. The model creator creates a model indicative of a relationship between the genotypes of the clusters of the SNP pertaining to the three clusters among the SNPs and the representative values of the clusters. The second labeler assigns genotypes to clusters of an SNP pertaining to one or two clusters among the SNPs on basis of the representative values of the clusters and the model.
