Abstract: Methods for classifying organisms using whole or partial genome sequence data are provided. The methods use DNA or protein sequence data and clustering algorithms to assign organisms a protein morphotype (‘pmorph’) based on a given clustering parameter. Pmorphs can be generated quickly from whole genome sequence data, even at draft sequence quality levels, and can resolve fine differences between related organisms. In this manner, organisms can be classified and duplicate organisms within a collection can be identified.

Abstract: A vending refrigerator for dispensing pharmaceutical products, such as vials, bottles, syringes, and the like, at a point of distribution, e.g., a doctor's office or pharmacy. The vending refrigerator comprises a first product dispenser for one type of packaging and a second product dispenser for a second type of packaging. The product can be removed from a dispenser drawer but cannot be placed back into the dispenser through the drawer. The product dispensers are filled through openings that are not accessible during normal operations, but that are accessible during refilling procedures. The refrigerator may include a shelf where products that are mistakenly pulled from the product dispenser or that contain multiple doses of their contents can be placed for temporary storage. In some embodiments, the refrigerator comprises a chilled compartment and a freezer compartment.

Abstract: A system, a machine-readable storage medium storing instructions, and a computer-implemented method are described herein are directed to a Message Diet Engine that generates a pool of messages for a plurality member accounts of a social network service. Each message being of a respective message type from a plurality of message types and targeted to a specific member account. For each respective member account, the Message Diet Engine selects a minimum number of messages, from the pool of messages, targeted to the respective member account that prompts an expected social network activity target and avoids an expected number of complaints. Based on the selected minimum number of messages for each respective member account, the Message Diet Engine identifies a total minimum number of messages, from the pool of messages, to be sent to the plurality of member accounts that prompts an expected total social network activity target and avoids a total expected number of complaints.

Abstract: A central asset registry and associated satellite registries tie Digital Asset Management (DAM) repositories and satellite repositories into a unified enterprise system. The system removes rights and asset relationship tracking from the DAMs and the satellites by gathering asset metadata tags and capturing digital asset rights and relationships between assets to improve speed, scalability, and flexibility in analyzing and traversing networks of rights and relationships of digital assets. The central asset registry and the satellite registries use a pluggable architecture and track and store multi-dimensional relationships as an asset hierarchy. The asset hierarchy and rights model depicts rights and relationship data between the assets and provides a flexible array of asset types and properties for addition of new assets, new asset types, and new rights without re-factoring the other data, nodes, and edges. The system uses asset metadata to create edge relationships between the assets.
