Abstract: A cradle with a resonant, high efficiency mechanism for swinging (oscillating) the cradle with multiple swinging styles is described. Vertical and horizontal swinging are enabled with a single actuation mechanism. In an embodiment, the actuation mechanism consists of a motor with an eccentric load and a motor control system that can control the angular velocity and/or angular position of the motor. Use of the eccentric load enables actuation in the vertical and horizontal directions with the single actuation mechanism. For motion feedback, the control system uses a motion sensor. A spring system is used as the potential energy storage element for vertical resonant oscillations. For horizontal oscillations, the system acts like a pendulum and the potential energy due to gravity is used for energy storage. The spring system is designed to ensure that with change in mass of the baby, minimal change in oscillation frequency occurs.

Abstract: A coffee machine including a controller, an infusion cylinder that can be loaded with a ground coffee dose, an ejection piston slidably supported inside the infusion cylinder, a closing piston engageable in the infusion cylinder to create a closed infusion chamber for the ground coffee dose, delimited between a lateral wall of the infusion cylinder, the ejection piston and the closing piston. Electrical actuation moves the infusion cylinder between a lower travel limit stop, where the ground coffee dose is loaded, and an upper travel limit stop where the infusion process occurs, an adjuster for positioning the upper travel limit stop based on the size of the loaded ground coffee dose, so that in the position of the upper travel limit stop, the infusion chamber has a volume sufficient to contain the ground coffee dose without compressing it.

Abstract: A beverage making machine where the main machine is located under the counter out of the view of the customers. This new design allows for the machine to be built in sections instead of inserting all components into one device and allows for easy servicing. Using electrically heated hoses allows for the main user interface to be located any distance away from the brewing machine, which frees up counter space and allows for easier servicing. The electrically heated hoses are a key component to this machine because the hose is electrically heated to maintain a desired temperature level so that heated fluids do not lose heat upon transfer from boiler to dispenser, making this machine a temperature stable coffee/espresso machine.

Abstract: The method for regulating pressure in a beverage brewer as disclosed herein includes initiating a brew cycle, which initiates a feedback loop. A temperature sensor monitors the water temperature in a heater tank, and one or more heating elements activate to heat the water to the appropriate temperature if necessary. An ammeter monitors the amperage of an electric current drawn by a pump. If the amperage is above a current ceiling, a voltage regulator reduces the voltage of electric current supplied to the pump, thereby reducing the pressure in the brew cartridge. The voltage regulator increases the voltage of electric current supplied to the pump to increase pressure in brew cartridge if the amperage of the electric current is below a current floor. Once the voltage regulator adjusts the voltage, the ammeter monitors the amperage of the pump.

Abstract: The invention relates to an electrically operatable kitchen device for preparing food by means of one or more effective devices. An effective device can be activated and/or adjusted by a rotary knob and/or push button, and the kitchen device can be deactivated in terms of one or simultaneously more or all of the activated effective devices. The aim of the invention is to provide an electrically operatable kitchen device with an advantageously deactivatable effective device. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the deactivation of the effective device can be triggered depending on the speed at which the rotary knob is moved in the direction of the rotational axis of the rotary knob, in the rotational direction, or in the opposite rotational direction.

The elastic coil has a sufficient relaxed size and spring constant to self-expand the liner when constraints are released. A water reservoir connects to a shower sprayer through a hose, and may be integrated in the wall of the enclosure. For instance, a helical sleeve around the liner may constrain both the elastic coil and the hose. A foot pump may be provided along the hose and within the enclosure for easy propulsion of water from the reservoir to the sprayer.
