Abstract: A pneumatic device for transporting a substrate during a manufacturing operation is described. The pneumatic device can include multiple suction assemblies for securely coupling the substrate to the pneumatic device. The vertical position of the suction assemblies can be varied so that when vacuum is applied through the suction assemblies to the substrate, the substrate is in a bent configuration when secured to the pneumatic device. When the pneumatic device is used to lift the substrate off a stack of other substrates, the bending of the substrate reduces the surface area contact and likelihood of inadvertently removing additional substrates from the stack of substrates.

Abstract: A sheet handling apparatus for a printing system includes a rotary drum having an inner chamber circumferentially surrounded by an outer peripheral wall with perforations formed therein. By means of sucking an air flow through the perforations of the drum to a suction system, sheets are attracted to the peripheral wall of the drum. A stationary shutter member is positioned inside the inner chamber for blocking the flow of air through the perforations when they pass, with the rotation of the drum, through a first predetermined angular range. The shutter member includes protrusions while the rotary drum includes recesses for receiving the protrusions, such that a meandering air flow passage is formed between the shutter member and the rotary drum. As such, friction between the rotary drum and the stationary shutter member is reduced, thereby reducing the power consumption of the suction system.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a liquid treatment method and apparatus according to which poorly treated liquid is prevented from being discharged to the outside thereof. The liquid treatment apparatus of the present disclosure comprises a channel switch, a return channel that establishes communication between the channel switch and an internal space of a first tank, and a discharge channel that establishes communication between the channel switch and the outside of the liquid treatment apparatus. In the circulation state, the liquid mixture is circulated in the liquid treatment apparatus so as to return a liquid to the first tank through the return channel. If a concentration of the photocatalyst particles contained in the first tank falls within a predetermined range, the channel switch is switched from the circulation state to the discharge state to discharge the liquid to the outside of the liquid treatment apparatus.

Abstract: The present invention provides a high concentration bleach generator apparatus and a system and method for its use. The apparatus includes a housing containing brine, anionic and cationic chambers. Electrodes in the anionic and cationic chambers separate salt from brine into hydrogen gas, chlorine gas and an alkali and alkaline hydroxide mass. The hydrogen gas vents through a hydrogen selective membrane. A pump conveys the chlorine gas to the cationic chamber, where it combines with the alkali and alkaline hydroxide mass to form a bleach solution. Users can draw off the bleach and use it to disinfect water. The system also provides a system housing, a larger brine reservoir and a data processor allowing a user to select a desired bleach concentration for production.
