Abstract: A drill attachment for tilling soil has an extended drill shaft that is coupled with a till plate. The combination may be driven by an ordinary hand drill. The drill shaft has a stabilizer tip that protrudes beyond the till plate. The till plate includes a plurality of teeth that dig into and work top soil, while a generally planar disk-shaped body member at the top of the till plate prevents the till plate from sinking below the surface of the soil. The teeth are stamped from the till plate, forming openings in the generally planar disk-shaped body member. These openings and other optional openings cooperate with the teeth to further break up clumps of soil, and help to balance forces from the teeth pulling into the soil against the force of the body member that resists sinking into the earth. Optional weed-out and hole tools are also disclosed.

Abstract: Weed seeds are destroyed in the chaff from a combine harvester by repeated high speed impacts caused by a rotor mounted in one of a pair of side by side housings which accelerate the discarded seeds in a direction centrifugally away from the rotor onto a stator including angularly adjustable stator surfaces around the axis. Thus the discarded seeds rebound back and forth between the rotor and the stator to provide a plurality of impacts. The seeds are carried axially of the rotor by a controlled airstream so that they move to an axial discharge location where a discharge fan is mounted. The angle of the discharge around the rotor axis can be changed to direct the seeds to the side of the combine away from a straw chopper, towards the guide fins of the tailboard of the chopper, or into the housing of the straw chopper.

The use of wind in a helical flow pattern allows for an even distribution of the elements oxygen and water. This is provided by the aforementioned spiral drilled holes on the grow chambers and an inline fan that allows the wind with the elements to pass in a circular pattern. The membrane disc elastically offsets the forces arising from the bite of the dog, acting perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis line ensuring the dimensional stability of the contour defined by the outer cover. The membrane disc protects the fixing end element of the handle led through the membrane through an opening from the direct forces arising from the bite of the dog. The membrane disc stretches up to the outer cover as a function of the forces acting through the handle, thereby reducing the shock on the joints of the dog and the person holding the handle while playing with the dog.

Abstract: A pet leash structure comprises more than one main leash body and more than one drag leash. The more than one main leash body is weaved by a strap body and has a handle portion provided for a person to hold and a connection portion connected to a collar. A pull section is formed between the handle portion and the connection portion. The more than one drag leash has a predetermined length and is connected to a tail end of the pull section. Therefore, a distance between the person and a pet may be fixed by pulling the more than one drag leash so that the person may quickly drag the pet back by pulling the more than one drag leash.

Abstract: The invention provides for transgenic donor animals (e.g., pigs) whose cells, tissues and organs have a better long-term survival when transplanted into a human patient. The transgenic donor animal carries one or more human transgenes which is expressed only when the endogenous gene of the donor animal is knocked out shortly before a graft is harvested for transplantation. This “genetic switch” allows the donor animal to remain healthy during the majority of its lifetime, while still allowing expression of the human transgene for optimal transplant tolerance in a human recipient. The transgene may encode a cytokine receptor, an adhesion molecule, or a complement regulatory protein.

Abstract: The invention relates to a farm for rearing insects, comprising a first zone (Z1) in which the insects being reared are stored in containers while they grow and a second zone (Z2) comprising at least one station configured for effecting a rearing-related task on the insects in a container or on said container. The containers are grouped in the first zone (Z1) in sets of palletized containers referred to as basic units. The first zone (Z1) comprises pallet racks in which the basic units are disposed. The first zone (Z1) is furthermore equipped with an automated device configured to move the basic units between the first zone (Z1) and an interface (1) with the second zone (Z2).

Abstract: A lure bait including an elongated body and at least one ventral hook. The elongated body includes a dorsal surface having a convex shape, a ventral surface opposite the dorsal surface having a concave shape, a distal end, and a proximal end. The proximal end includes an angled bill having a flat transverse surface extending from the dorsal surface to the ventral surface. The at least one ventral hook is connected to the ventral surface of the elongated body. The angled bill is angled such that when the elongated body is pulled from the proximal end along the surface of the water, the water exerts a force on the angled bill, thereby causing the distal end of the elongated body to rise relative to the proximal end and cause the proximal end to shield the at least one ventral hook from entanglements located in the water.
