Abstract: A shoring system for concrete slabs is disclosed. One such system includes a drop head with a beam support member which can be moved between lower and upper positions, and a wedge member which locks the beam support member in its upper position by a translational, sliding movement thereof. Wedge member includes a narrower toe portion and a wider heel portion, and the toe portion is insertable past corresponding engagement surfaces on the post of the drop head, to support the wedge member in its upper position. The beam support member has a lower surface engaged by the wedge member and such lower surface is longitudinally spaced from the upper surface of the beam support member, so that there is open space between the wedge member and the bottom surfaces of beam supported by the upper surface of the beam support member.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a bicycle storage unit that comprises an enclosure defining an interior compartment that is sized to hold a bicycle. The enclosure has first and second sidewalls, each of the first and second sidewalls having a frame with a curved upper element and one or more side panels. The enclosure also comprises a curved rear panel and a curved door panel, the curved door panel being movable between a closed position and an open position. Embodiments of the bicycle storage unit are configured so that when the door is in the open position, the bicycle storage unit does not take up any more public space than when the door is in the closed position. Moreover, embodiments of the bicycle storage unit include a locking mechanism that allows a user to utilize a conventional bicycle U-lock to secure the door in a closed position.

Abstract: Disclosed are eave structures and tent frames with integrated eave structures. A tent frame includes supporting poles, an upper frame coupled with the supporting poles, and two or more eave structures. An eave structure includes an eave pole, and a sleeve member disposed at a connector coupled with a supporting pole. The eave pole has a first end portion pivotally connected with an oblique pole of the upper frame, and a second end portion slidably coupled with the sleeve member. The eave structures can be folded and unfolded together with the supporting poles and the upper frame. When unfolded, the eave poles of the eave structures extend beyond the upper frame.

Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of a tapered bolt receiver for a door lock to accommodate misalignment, between a deadbolt mounted to a door, and an opposing jamb. The tapered bolt receiver can be configured to accommodate misalignment for a deadbolt having a non-tapered bolt, such as for an electromechanical smart lock having a battery stored within a battery compartment that is integrated with an enhanced bolt. Also disclosed are embodiments of a deadbolt plate pivot assembly that is pivotably mountable to a corresponding deadbolt assembly to define a plate pivot system, to accommodate a beveled door edge. An illustrative embodiment of the deadbolt plate pivot assembly includes opposing plate that captures a hinge assembly, which can include plastic plate hinges, which serve to locate the deadbolt plate pivot assembly with respect to a corresponding bolt housing, and can provide a spring force and/or constant torque when mounted to a beveled door.
