Abstract: A talar implant system comprises a body. The body includes a bone contact surface and an articulation surface located opposite the bone contact surface. The body defines at least one angled fastener hole extending therethrough from the articulation surface to the bone contact surface along a longitudinal axis. The articulation surface is configured to mimic articulation of the talar dome. A fastener is sized and configured to be received within the at least one fastener hole at a first angle with respect to the longitudinal axis of the fastener hole. A fastener cap is sized and configured to be received within a proximal end of the at least one fastener hole. The fastener cap couples the body to the fastener.

Abstract: The Prosthetic industry has never had a design that adequately addresses the Above Knee (AK) chronic patient issue of daily volume loss, or the issue of socket rotation, or reliable suspension. Below Knee (BK) amputees can ambulate freely and safely with a variety of suspension technologies. This is due to the fact that the BK amputee does not have excessive soft tissue, resulting in volume loss and limb elongation. Also, the underlying BK boney anatomy prevents rotation. The AK limb is comprised mostly of soft tissue, therefore, until now; all socket control has inadequately come from a variety of brim shapes and styles. The Volume Adjustable Full-Suspension Socket solves all of these issues for the AK amputee and allows them the same security and freedoms as their BK counterparts.

Abstract: A multi-purpose litter clamp comprises a clamp that preferably spans below the litter connecting to opposing longitudinal litter poles on opposite sides of the litter. The clamp can attach rigidly and securely to both sides of the litter. In many embodiments, all but a few inches of the litter's longitudinal poles are covered with a nylon fabric that make up the ‘bed’ of the litter. A plurality of clamp accessories can facilitate rapid and effective attachment and/or removal of medical equipment connected to a patient directly to the litter on which the patient lies, either during transport and/or while in a field hospital.

Abstract: A method of securing a patient onto an operating table when the patient is in a position such as the trendelenburg position and apparatus therefor including a kit. A viscoelastic pad is used to support and hold a patient on a medical procedure table during a medical procedure performed while the table, and thus the patient lying thereon, is in an inclined position, such as the Trendelenburg position. The viscoelastic pad has characteristics which promote a minimization of pressure forces on the patient's body, as well as promote a secure cushioning and holding of the patient in a desired position on the table, in order to minimize injury to the patient.
