Abstract: A sensor generates a sensor signal indicative of a sensed variable. A first filter is applied to the sensor signal, and filters the sensor signal based on a first set of sensor data, to generate a first filtered signal. A second filter is applied to the sensor signal, based on a second set of sensor data that is greater than the first set of sensor data, to generate a second filtered sensor signal. The first and second filtered sensor signals are compared to generate a control signal that can be used to control a controllable subsystem of a mobile machine.

  • Patent number: 9961832
Abstract: A method and control system are disclosed for orientating base cutters of a sugarcane harvester. A sugarcane harvester may include a crop divider, a rear base cutter, and a front base cutter. An indicator of a position of the crop divider may be determined. A target orientation of the front base cutter may be determined based upon the position indicator. The front base cutter may be adjusted with respect to a chassis of the harvester, in order to place the front base cutter in the target orientation. If adjusting the front base cutter includes moving the front base cutter beyond a predetermined range of motion, the rear base cutter may be adjusted with respect to the ground.

Abstract: A harvesting system has a harvester that harvests a crop in a crop field. A position component senses a position of the harvester and provides an indication of the sensed position. A crop parameter sensor senses a crop parameter and provides an indication of the sensed crop parameter. A crop gap determination component determines determine a crop gap location, based on the indication of the sensed position and the indication of the sensed crop parameter.

  • Patent number: 9961838
Abstract: Apparatus includes a lawn debris collection assembly having a plenum assembly configured to be positioned in close proximate relationship with a lawn surface having lawn debris lodged between lawn blades of a lawn. The plenum assembly is movable along the lawn surface. The plenum assembly is also configured to house a positive air-pressure stream in such a way that the positive air-pressure stream is directed toward the lawn debris, and the positive air-pressure stream, in use, dislodges the lawn debris from between the lawn blades. The plenum assembly is also configured to house a negative air-pressure airstream in such a way that the negative air-pressure airstream, in use, flows from the plenum assembly to a debris-collection bag. The negative air-pressure airstream, in use, urges the lawn debris to move from the plenum assembly to the debris-collection bag.
