In particular, described herein are methods, compositions, phototherapy dressings for use with phototherapy UV light applicators (sources) and phototherapy UV light applicators to treat skin disorders such as psoriasis.

Abstract: Method and systems are disclosed for radiating a moving target inside a heart. The method includes acquiring sequential volumetric representations of an area of the heart and defining a target tissue region and/or a radiation sensitive structure region in 3D for a first of the representations. The target tissue region and/or radiation sensitive structure region are identified for another of the representations by an analysis of the area of the heart from the first representation and the other representation. Radiation beams to the target tissue region are fired in response to the identified target tissue region and/or radiation sensitive structure region from the other representation.

Abstract: The door breaching system is capable of removing or opening a door attached to a structure. A main tether made up of a tether strap and multiple eyelets attaches to a vehicle through one of the eyelets at one end of the tether strap. The other end of the tether strap attaches to at least one hook strap through a master link. Each hook strap has a hook at a distal end. In use, at least one sling loops through part of the door. Sling eyelets on either end of a sling strap connect to the hook. Due to the secure connection between the door and the door breaching system, moving the vehicle away from the structure removes the door in a controllable fashion.

Abstract: A mounting assembly for a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) includes a back plate defining a plurality of apertures therethrough arranged in first and second columns. The apertures in the columns are sized and spaced to receive corresponding first and second mounting straps woven therethrough that are configured to extend around webbing straps of a carrying jacket to fasten the back plate to the carrying jacket. The back plate includes a first press stud associated with the first column and a second press stud associated with the second column, which are configured to engage ends of the respective first and second mounting straps to releasably secure the mounting straps to the back plate. A tank securing strap on the back plate releasably fastens a supply tank to the back plate. A valve retaining mount on the back plate releasably secures an air supply valve for engagement with the supply tank.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a sealed and ventilated receptacle for storing equipment, such as firefighter turnout gear, that generally includes a base, at least one sidewall extending from the base, and a top wall that covers the opposite end of the sidewall. A sealable door may be positioned on the sidewall to access the inside of the receptacle and to prevent any contaminants from exiting the receptacle. The receptacle may also include an intake fan and exhaust fan that are each connected to a duct for providing fresh air to and removing contaminated air from the inside of the receptacle. The receptacle may further include a temperature control unit for regulating the temperature inside of the receptacle. Additionally, a hook for hanging a firefighter coat, trousers, or other items may also be included on the inside of the receptacle.

Since the air purification module for removing poisonous gases or biochemical pollutants through a catalytic reaction of a metal catalyst layer can be semi-permanently used, the conventional inconvenience of carrying an extra canister is removed.

Abstract: The system includes an intake assembly upstream of a pump within the bucket which selectively uses an outer port for drawing water outside of the bucket into the system and an inner port for drawing water from within the bucket into the system. A polymer gel port is interposed between the intake assembly and the pump for combination, mixing and activation of a water and polymer gel emulsion combination within the pump. A fill assembly is provided downstream of the pump which can selectively direct water back into the bucket. A discharge assembly is also provided downstream of the pump which leads to a nozzle or other outlet for water and/or polymer gel emulsion from the system. A control valve selects between delivery of water and/or polymer gel emulsion back into the bucket through the fill assembly or out of the bucket through the discharge.

Abstract: A firefighting or rescue apparatus includes an extendable crosslay hose bed which facilitates access to the crosslay bed for loading and pulling flexible fire hose. The bed is mounted to a frame, generally behind the cab of the apparatus, which can be a fire truck. The bed includes a moveable tray extending laterally, across a width of the truck. The tray can be oriented generally perpendicular to a longitudinal axis of the truck as well. The tray and/or an optional underlying support frame can be coupled to a power unit adapted to extend and retract the support frame and moveable tray from stored position to a deployed position. A control can be in communication with the power unit and operable by a user to control movement of the tray from the stored position to the deployed position.

In some examples, the housing cavity is formed on a top surface of a riser that extends above a platform to support a bed. In other examples, the housing cavity is formed below an opening on the platform. The housing cavity may include an embedded pump, a suction tube with an isolation valve, a discharge manifold with an isolation valve, a system pressure gauge, a system test control valve (which may be plumped back to tank through tubing and/or fittings), a pressure activated on/off switch, or the like, or combinations thereof.

Abstract: An autonomous fire-fighting agent (10) formed from a material with fire-extinguishing properties. The material includes: microcapsules with a fire-extinguishing composition, the microcapsules having sizes of from 2 to 100 ?m and being in the form of a halocarbon enclosed in a polymeric shell consisting of polyurea and/or polyurethane; and a binder. The binder includes a composite material having a polymeric component and mineral fibers and/or particles. The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing an autonomous fire-fighting agent (10) and an object which uses the autonomous fire-fighting agent (10) to fight a fire 10-20 s after ignition.

The fitness apparatus comprises a wheel assembly that includes a first circular side parallel to a second circular side, both bounded by a curved tread. Abstract: The invention generally relates to golf clubs with adjustable mass properties. In certain aspects, the invention provides methods and mechanisms for adjusting a club head center of gravity and/or moment of inertia by way of an adjustable weight assembly positionable along the sole of the club head body. When in a first position, the weight assembly provides a lower center of gravity so as to increase launch angle and reduce spin rate, resulting in greater overall distance of ball flight. When in a second position, the weight assembly provides a greater mass moment of inertia, which effectively enlarges the sweet spot and produces a more forgiving club for off-center hits.

The selected implements include various embodiments of a ball retrieving and holding cup in, a ball marker retrieving and holding implement, a flagstick pick-up implement, and a golf tee retrieving and holding implement. The ball provides an internal mechanism by way of a snap device or a channel having a shiftable weighted material to provide both an audible and visible indication of when a proper wrist snap release of the ball has occurred. The internal mechanisms disclosed can be incorporated into newly manufactured baseballs or softballs or placed into preexisting balls.

Abstract: A system and method to provide haptic and visual feedback of motion of the skier foot and the forces transmitted to the skiboot insole and consequently to the ski/snow interface. This system comprises a motion and force sensors and a haptic actuator embedded in the skiboot insole in communication with a smart-phone based analysis application, configured to calculate insole motion and orientation and the distribution of pressure points inside the skiboot, then to provide haptic feedback to the skier foot instructing on timing and direction of change in the pressure points necessary to achieve optimal turn parameters. Furthermore, analyzed together with GPS coordinates are transmitted by the application to the cloud based server for further processing. Graphical and numerical representation of data is superimposed over a 3D map of a slope which may be viewed on the user smart-phone or on a remote computer terminal.
