    Abstract: A method of fabricating a joining preform includes the step of printing a self-fluxing joining alloy. Joining includes brazing and soldering. The self-fluxing joining alloy contains at least one of phosphorus, boron, fluorine, chlorine, or potassium. Another printing step prints a non-phosphorous joining alloy. Both printing steps are performed by an additive manufacturing or 3D printing process. The printing a self-fluxing joining alloy step may be repeated until the non-phosphorous joining alloy is substantially encapsulated by the self-fluxing joining alloy. The self-fluxing joining alloy may be a BCuP alloy, a CuP alloy, a CuSnP alloy, a CuSnNiP alloy or a CuAgP alloy. The non-phosphorous joining alloy may be a BAg alloy, a BNi alloy or a BAu alloy.

Heat is transferred from jet motor 26 to the nitrogen gas, and jet motor 26 is cooled satisfactorily.

    Abstract: The contents of Cr, Fe, Mn, Ti, Si, Cu, N, Al, C, Mg, Mo, B, Zr, and Nb+Ta in a Ni-base alloy weld metal are properly specified and the contents of Co, P, and S in incidental impurities are controlled. In particular, a weld metal having high cracking resistance is formed by specifying the Mn content in a proper range and restricting the contents of B and Zr at low levels. Regarding a Ni-base alloy covered electrode, by specifying the contents of a slag-forming agent, a metal fluoride, and a carbonate serving as flux components in proper ranges and controlling the contents of Mn, Nb+Ta, and Fe in a flux, good welding workability is achieved and a weld metal having good bead appearance is formed.

    Abstract: Provided are fireproof flexible hoses, aircraft having fire suppression systems including such fireproof flexible hoses, and methods of forming such fireproof flexible hoses. A fireproof flexible hose includes an inner structure and an outer structure at least partially enclosing and directly interfacing the inner structure. The inner structure forms an inner surface of the fireproof flexible hose and includes a polyimide at least at the inner surface. The polyimide has good fireproofing and temperature resistant characteristics and, unlike other polymers, does not need to be thermally isolated when the hose is exposed to fire. The outer structure may be made from metal and/or non-metal and may provide mechanical support to the inner structure. The outer structure may have a convoluted shape to ensure flexibility of the overall hose assembly. In some examples, a set of gaps may be present between the outer and inner structures for additional flexibility.

    Abstract: A quick adjust ratcheting pocket hole jig is presented. The pocket hole jig has a base with a removable upright connected thereto. A guide assembly is slidably received within the upright. Removable and replaceable side supports are connected to the base by way of a dove tail joint. Removable and replaceable adjustable stops are connected to the base by way of key holes. A clamp assembly is connected to the base having a handle portion and a clamp follower. The clamp follower has a ratcheting mechanism and a compressible plunger assembly. The clamp follower can quickly be adjusted using a button on the clamp follower that disengages the ratcheting member such that it can be quickly adjusted. When the handle is operated, it draws the clamp follower towards the upright and guide assembly compressing the spring loaded plunger assembly thereby quickly and tightly and adjustably holding a workpiece therebetween.
