  • Patent number: 10029842
Abstract: An insulating device can include an aperture having a waterproof closure which allows access to the chamber within the insulating device. The closure can help prevent any fluid leakage into and out of the insulating device if the insulating device is overturned or in any configuration other than upright. The closure may also prevent any fluid from permeating into the chamber if the insulating device is exposed to precipitation, other fluid, or submersed under water. This construction results in an insulating chamber that is substantially impervious to water and other liquids when the closure is sealed.

  • Patent number: 10029877
Abstract: A conveying apparatus includes an upper conveyor and a lower conveyor, the top of the lower conveyor facing the bottom of the upper conveyor and defining with the bottom of the upper conveyor a sheet transport path. An air duct having an opening facing the top of the upper conveyor is mounted over the upper conveyor, and a fan is provided that is in fluid communication with the air duct. The fan draws air through the opening, into the air duct and out an exhaust vent. A housing substantially encloses the upper conveyor and the lower conveyor and is connected to the air duct, and the housing has a bottom opening located below the sheet transport path such that a majority of the air drawn through the opening by the fan passes through the upper conveyor.

Abstract: A method for rapidly stacking and dropping sheets is provided. The method comprises receiving a plurality of sheets from a sheet delivery device onto a landing platform of a stacking and dropping apparatus. The method also comprises lowering the landing platform from an original upper position. Lowering comprises maintaining a drop height between the sheet delivery device and a stack of delivered sheets. The method also comprises sending a delay signal that comprises a command to delay the receiving of the plurality of sheets from the sheet delivery device. The delay signal is sent in response to a detection of a predetermined stack height of the stack of delivered sheets. The method also comprises sending a movement signal, immediately following the sending of the delay signal. The movement signal comprises a command to move the landing platform, such that the plurality of sheets are received by a catch tray unit.

  • Patent number: 10029880
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a sheet bundle binding device having both a staple binding unit and a staple-free binding unit, capable of performing binding in two stages of proper binding and temporary binding so as to obtain a desired binding force and to easily remove some sheets from a bound sheet bundle. A binding control section determines, based on user's settings, whether or not to perform first binding in which a first sheet bundle Sb1 is subjected to the proper binding using the staple binding unit or staple-free binding unit and determines whether or not to perform second binding in which a second sheet bundle obtained by accumulating additional sheets on the first sheet bundle is subjected to the temporary binding using the staple-free binding unit so as to control binding forces with which the first and second sheet bundles are bound.

  • Patent number: 10029881
Abstract: The present invention provides a medium processing device and medium transaction device that may increase stability by shortening a conveyance path. Namely, a banknote deposit/withdrawal device includes a conveyance section that forms a linear conveyance path along a front-rear direction inside an upper section block, in the vicinity of a boundary with a lower section block. An upper section storage box is disposed in the vicinity of a rear side terminal end of a rear conveyance section. Counterfeit notes are conveyed to the upper section storage box using a switching section. Accordingly, due to keeping the conveyance path length short, the banknote deposit/withdrawal device may reduce the frequency of occurrence of faults, such as banknote jams, and may prevent the circulation of counterfeit notes by storing counterfeit notes segregated from genuine banknotes, reject banknotes, and the like.
