Patent number: 10030746Abstract: A ball screw device is provided, including a retainer that can properly retain balls. The difference between a diameter being the pitch circle diameter of the ball screw device and the outside diameter of the rack shaft is set to be equal to or larger than the difference between the bore diameter of a ball screw nut and the diameter. The thickness center diameter of the retainer is set to be smaller than the diameter. Even when the inclination angle is reduced, the clearance between the inclined surfaces of each retainer groove on the radial inside can be easily set to be smaller than the diameter of the balls because the bore diameter of the retainer is set to be smaller. Thus, even when the inclination angle of the inclined surfaces is set to be smaller, the balls can be properly retained.Type: GrantFiled: May 22, 2017Date of Patent: July 24, 2018Assignee: JTEKT CORPORATIONInventors: Toshihiro Asakura, Takuya Nakayama, Keisuke Ogawa

Patent number: 10030749Abstract: In a continuously variable transmission, driving force from a drive source is transmitted via a path to establish a LOW mode. A large torque that is transmitted in the LOW mode passes through a first output switching mechanism. Since a countershaft is relatively rotatably disposed on an outer periphery of an input shaft, and the first output switching mechanism is disposed on the countershaft, the countershaft which transmits a large torque is disposed on an outer peripheral side of a double tube and supported directly by a transmission case, and the input shaft which transmits a relatively small torque is supported via the countershaft, thereby making it possible to support the first output switching mechanism with high rigidity without carrying out special reinforcement.Type: GrantFiled: May 27, 2014Date of Patent: July 24, 2018Assignee: HONDA MOTOR CO., LTD.Inventors: Satoshi Uchino, Atsushi Fujikawa

Patent number: 10030780Abstract: A valve assembly for an air flow system, where the air flow system has a turbocharger unit and a venturi valve member for receiving a portion of the pressurized air from the turbocharger unit, and generating back pressure. The valve assembly includes a bypass switching valve and a bypass check valve. During a first mode of operation, the valve assembly is exposed to vacuum pressure, and the bypass check valve is exposed to the vacuum pressure such that the bypass check valve is placed in a closed position. During a second mode of operation the turbocharger unit is activated, pressurized air flows through the bypass switching valve, and places the bypass check valve in an open position, and the back pressure generated by the venturi valve member and the pressurized air from the turbocharger unit creates a pressure differential in the bypass check valve.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 2014Date of Patent: July 24, 2018Assignee: Continental Automotive Systems, Inc.Inventors: Robert Douglas Jefford, Benjamin Dominick Manton Williams, Adrian Ovidiu Crisan

Patent number: 10030783Abstract: In order to reduce a pressure loss in a check valve and simplify a manufacturing process, a check valve (10) configured to be disposed in piping of fluid is provided, which includes a valve housing (31) including a valve element (52) and a valve seat (54) therein, a casing (20) that is configured to place the valve housing therein, in which a casing flow path (60) is provided between the casing and the valve housing to make a flow of the fluid in an axial direction of the valve housing. In the valve housing, a communicating hole (38) and sealing portion (34) are formed. The communicating hole that is formed through the valve housing in a thickness direction thereof introduces the fluid, which flows through between the valve element and the valve seat at the open position of the check valve, into the casing flow path.Type: GrantFiled: November 6, 2015Date of Patent: July 24, 2018Assignees: Toyota Jidosha Kabushiki Kaisha, Nitto Kohki Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hirofumi Onishi, Masaaki Kondo, Akira Yamashita, Takuya Nishio

Patent number: 10030784Abstract: A high pressure ball valve seal assembly utilizes primary, secondary, and tertiary seals to withstand debris, caustic fluids, high pressure, and high temperature. The seal assembly comprises first and second inner seats and first and second outer seats which are retained within the valve body. First inner and outer seats are mounted on a first side of a closure member in the valve cavity and second inner and outer seats mounted on a second side of the closure member opposite the first side. A plurality of sealing rings are provided, whereby the sealing rings may be arranged to provide a tertiary upstream seal physically located on the downstream side of the ball valve.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 2015Date of Patent: July 24, 2018Assignee: Worldwide Oilfield Machine, Inc.Inventor: William W Lanning

Patent number: 10030785Abstract: A valve for a fuel cell serves to discharge a fluid in a fuel cell system to the outside or other locations of the fuel cell system. The valve is mounted with a pressure transmission unit which is connected between a valve flow path unit having an inner flow path for moving a fluid and a solenoid unit for generating power for opening and closing the inner flow path of the valve flow path unit, and transmits pressure between the valve flow path unit and the solenoid unit, so as to minimize an operating load of the solenoid unit by minimizing a pressure difference between the valve flow path unit and the solenoid unit, regardless of factors such as working pressure and a temperature in the fuel cell system.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 2016Date of Patent: July 24, 2018Assignee: Hyundai Motor CompanyInventors: Se Kwon Jung, Hyo Sub Shim, Bu Kil Kwon
