A combined karaoke/photo booth/jukebox may enable more integrated performance-like experiences in an in-home or out-of-home location or venue. By leveraging vast audio media libraries, trusted rights-respecting network infrastructure, and on-site image/video capturing from integrated recorders and/or remote portable devices, a more sociable experience may be created for karaoke jukebox patrons, e.g., where custom content can be generated and shared in a safe and legally appropriate manner.

Abstract: Credit card fraud prevention techniques are disclosed in which the authorization of a payment card may be performed using information obtained from a mobile device (e.g., a smart phone) associated with a user who initiates a point-of-sale payment card transaction. In one implementation, a device may receive a request for authorization of a payment associated with a payment card; and obtain location information relating to a location of a mobile device associated with a user of the payment card. The device may determine, based at least on a location of the point-of-sale terminal and the location of the mobile device, whether to authorize the request for authorization of the payment.

The method further includes generating an electronic receipt based on the transaction file, storing a conversion table containing the first and second user IDs of the customer, converting the first user ID contained in the transaction file to the second user ID based on the conversion table, when the indicator indicates that the customer has opted in, and storing the electronic receipt in association with the second user ID. The electronic receipt is transmitted in response to a request for electronic receipts associated with the second user ID.

Abstract: The invention relates to an electronic method for approving a transaction, to a corresponding transaction system, to a transaction application for carrying out the method, to a mobile terminal having such a transaction application, and to a payment system comprising the transaction system in order to execute the transaction. In this manner, an electronic method is made available that is easy to handle and that can be used to approve a transaction within the scope of a business transaction between buyers and sellers, that can be used virtually without limitations in terms of location, that requires a minimum of already available technical infrastructure, and that is nevertheless secure for all parties involved. For this purpose, the mobile terminal has to have a display element, it has to be suitable to establish a wireless data connection with the transaction server, and it has to have application and e-mail capabilities.

Abstract: A Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) Chip Bank system and method for enabling users registered in the system to control their financial and telecommunications resources from their mobile device over a mobile communications network. The system combines mobile network providers and financial services through the use of SIM chips without the need for modifying the users' mobile devices or SIM chip installed thereon. A SIM Chip Bank System Operator (SCB-O) regulates data flow between users, banks, mobile communications service providers, SIM Chip Automated teller Machines and SIM Chip Service Providing Machines through a plurality of communications channels. Upon a user connecting to the SCB-O to request a transaction, the SCB-O connects to the appropriate bank to authorize the requested transaction. Upon successful completion, reports are sent back and forth to users confirming the event.

Abstract: A method and system for payments for mobile phone payments with a disabling feature is disclosed. The method includes activating a mobile phone containing contactless payment systems, and having a timeout feature disable the contactless payment systems after a set period of time.

Abstract: A settlement system includes a server device and a terminal device. The terminal device is configured to compare a payment amount with a set amount stored in a recording medium; if the payment amount is equal to or less than the set amount, perform an off-line process; and if the payment amount is larger than the set amount, perform an on-line process. In the off-line process, the terminal device rewrites the set amount stored in the recording medium by subtracting the payment amount from the set amount; and sends the payment amount to the server device for further processing. In the on-line process, the terminal device sends the payment amount to the server device; determines whether an update value is received from the server device; and when the update value is received, rewrites the set amount stored in the recording medium to be the update value.

In this manner, the owner of the other device, e.g., the child, can be allowed to purchase products. Restrictions can be placed upon the spending ability of the other device. For example, in order for the spending to be done, the other device can be required to be within a certain distance of the user device. Thus, purchases by the owner of the other device, e.g., the child, can be supervised.

Abstract: Isolating distinct service provider widgets within a wallet container is accomplished by configuring a widget to provide access to an issuer-specific service group of services that are accessible in a service tier of a multi-tier platform for providing secure transactions, determining widget isolation requirements for operating the widget, configuring a widget descriptor with the isolation requirements, and communicating with the configured widget that has been deployed on a mobile device to provide at least one service from the issuer-specific service group.

Abstract: A secure non-volatile solid state memory data key appears similar to a conventional USB flash drive modified to have a physical shape resembling a door key with an eyelet for attaching the data key to a key ring or lanyard. The data key includes a USB port, a microprocessor (effectively serving as the “chip” in the chip-and-pin configuration), and a secure memory for holding secure transaction information, such as credit and debit card numbers, verified personal identification (federated ID), and other secure data. The data key may include a dual-purpose electrical contact that serves both as a four-pin USB contact and an eight-pin chip-and-pin contact. Another example is a data key with a near-field communication (NFC) receiver that allows to data key to turn a smartphone, laptop or other computer into an NFC merchant terminal.

Abstract: System(s), method(s), and device(s) that generate and use single-use financial account card numbers (SUFACNs) to facilitate secure processing of financial transactions are presented. A user registers a financial account(s) with a financial transaction platform (FTP), a user profile comprising user-related information is created, and a personal identification number (PIN) is associated with the user. When making a purchase locally or online, the user's portable communication device (PCD) accesses the FTP via an application or web site, the PCD synchronizes with the FTP, and the PCD and FTP each respectively generate the same SUFACN(s) based in part on time of generation and PIN. The SUFACN is presented to the seller's register component via scanning (e.g., when SUFACN is a barcode) or entering the SUFACN. The register component sends the SUFACN to the FTP, which interacts with the user's financial account(s) to facilitate payment.

Abstract: A system and method for facilitating electronic commerce over a network, according to one or more embodiments, includes communicating with a user via a user device over the network, distributing a resident application to the user device over the network, displaying a service icon on the user device, and receiving an authentication request from the user via the user device over the network. The service icon is linked to the resident application, and the authentication request includes user credentials inputted by the user via user selection of the service icon and resulting user access of the resident application. The system and method includes communicating with the resident application on the user device to request user confirmation of the authentication request, receiving user confirmation from the user via the user device over the network, authorizing the authentication request, and notifying the user of the authorized authentication request over the network via the resident application.

Abstract: A method of centralized identity authentication for use in connection with a communications network includes registering users of the communications network such that each registered user's identity is uniquely defined and determinable, and registering a plurality of vendors having a presence on the communications network. The registered vendors selectively transact with registered users, wherein the transactions include: (i) the registered vendor selling goods and/or services to the registered user; (ii) the registered vendor granting the registered user access to personal records maintained by the registered vendor; and/or (iii) the registered vendor communicating to the registered user personal information maintained by the registered vendor. The method also includes each user's identity being authenticated over the communications network prior to completion of transactions between registered vendors and registered users.

The server computing device receives a response to the notification message via a second communication channel from an application executing on the registered mobile device, if the notification message requires a response. The server computing device stores the response in a database coupled to the server computing device, and determines whether to (i) allow, (ii) deny, or (iii) deny and report as fraud the identified activity based upon the response.

Abstract: This invention is a comprehensive “Dynamic Security Code” (“DSC”) System (“DSC System”) that can change the security code of a prepaid, debit, or credit card (“Payment Card”). In an effort to thwart Card-Not-Present (“CNP”) fraud, the DSC System provides dynamic security code values (“DSC Values”) that have a limited use. The DSC Values provided by this DSC System can be calculated by various methodologies and can be used within existing standard payment card infrastructures. The DSC System can also be used with other form factors and in other environments not related to payments such as balance inquiries. The DSC Values can be calculated by a DSC Generator Server or on the card itself.

Selling agents are offering their available resources for sale in accordance with parameters that correspond to the actual limitations of that actual resource and the buyers are looking to make a purchase from one of the sellers that presents a resource with the greatest utility to them. In order to overcome inefficiencies that result from the potential of inefficient allocation, the present invention has further endeavored to introduce an efficiency-arbitrage agent that scans the overall body of transactions to identify and remedy inefficient market transactions.

Employing the user-specified query, statistical comparisons and/or correlation may be provided, based on an analysis of retrieved historical audience data for the time period. Embodiments may also enable a user to generate new statistics in real-time through modification of the audience in one or more iterations. A trip management module matches a rider with an available driver based in part on an comparison of the estimated times of arrival of the rider and the driver at the pickup location. A client positioning module monitors the rider's progress through nodes and edges in a topological graph associated with the origin location based on radio signatures received at the rider client device. A client ETA module calculates a rider ETA based on the rider's rate of travel through the origin location represented by nodes in the topological graph. Responsive to determining that the rider ETA and the driver ETA vary by over a threshold amount of time, the trip management module matches the rider with a second available driver.

Some embodiments may include a system including circuitry configured to generate an incentive token for a promotion of a merchant. The incentive token may be associated with a first consumer account and provided to a first consumer device associated with the first consumer account for sharing with other consumers. Upon receiving the incentive token form a second consumer device associated with a second consumer account, the circuitry may be configured to enable the second consumer account to receive an incentive value of the incentive token if various conditions are satisfied. Product assignments for the products may be generated based on attributes of the products, product categories associated with the products, or the clusters.

Abstract: Techniques are provided in which the current price of a commodity purchased from a seller by a buyer with a price guarantee policy is monitored. Upon detection of the current price dropping below the purchase price, the buyer and seller are notified, leading to a rebate being provided to the buyer from the seller to be redeemed based on the terms of the price guarantee policy. In some embodiments, buyers are offered incentives, such as a discounted price, in exchange for a reduced time period within which a price guarantee policy is redeemable.

This feed may be provided for display to the viewing user.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for generating and delivering selected primary content and contextually-related, targeted secondary content to users of a network. In an exemplary embodiment, the network comprises a packet-switched data (e.g., IP) network such as the Internet, and the primary content comprises video or media clips that are user-selectable via a network site or web page. The primary content carries with it descriptive metadata that is accessed by a distribution server and forwarded to a secondary content source. The secondary content source (or its proxy) utilizes the metadata to identify and return contextually-related secondary content such as advertising links. Abstract: An apparatus and a system of improvement of advertisement targeting through embedded scripts in supply-side and demand-side platforms are disclosed. In one embodiment, a method of a client device includes applying an automatic content recognition algorithm to determine a content identifier of an audio-visual data. The client device then associates the content identifier with an advertisement data based on a semantic correlation between a meta-data of the advertisement provided by a content provider and/or the content identifier. The advertisement targeting may be improved when a script is embedded in the client device, a supply-side platform, and/or a data provider integrated with the supply side platform, to execute arbitrary cross-site scripts in the sandboxed application of the client device. The content identifier may be obfuscated in a manner that it is relevant to a particular demand-side platform to eliminate a need to query the provider of the content identifier on a per ad-spot basis.

A portion of the transmission signal is identified. A determination of whether localized advertisement data corresponds to the identified portion is performed. The localized advertisement data is then inserted into the identified portion of the transmission signal to generate an altered signal. The altered signal is transmitted to a user device.

The wish list may include items or services sold by merchants participating in the program. The wish list may be published to the merchants participating in the program. A location of the user may be determined, and an offer from one of the participating merchants may be received, where the offer is based on the location of the user. A total cost of the offer may be calculated by analyzing the offer. The user may be notified of the offer and the total cost.
