The system includes an ultra-short pulse laser, the radiation of which is focusable as illumination light via an illumination beam path including a scanner unit and focusing optics. A control unit is programmed to execute determining irradiation control data for photodisruptions at irradiation points in an interior of the ocular tissue distributed three-dimensionally and non-equidistantly to create at least one predetermined target incision. The laser system then irradiates the ocular tissue according to the determined irradiation control data.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and dressings for treating a linear wound, such as an incision, on a patient are presented. The systems, dressings, and methods involve a sealed wound dressing assembly that helps form a fluid seal around the linear wound while simultaneously encompassing a subcutaneous delivery conduit to deliver fluid to or from a subcutaneous tissue site. In one instance, a reduced-pressure interface is used to allow the subcutaneous delivery conduit to pass through tissue at or near the linear wound and through a wound dressing assembly to a drainage receptacle.

Abstract: A treatment system for applying negative pressure therapy and fluid instillation treatment to a tissue site, particularly an abdominal tissue site, is disclosed. The lifting harness can clip to a lift attachment which is affixed to a helper lift suspension cable/rope/etc. The caregiver's helper lift utilizes a crane arm to suspend the patient and allow him or her to be repositioned by simply rolling/turning the lift. By actuating the hoisting apparatus control system, the patient can be controllably raised and lowered as desired. The crane arm can be adjustably attached to a power T upright which is itself attached to a brace base. At least two beam extensions extend laterally from the brace and provide stability.

Abstract: The method DeCOMPRESSit is to decompress the spine from natural upright position using the force of gravity as a nonlinear increasing decompression force, which is applied to a spinal column in upright position. This allows the decompression force to be focused on selective vertebrae. The method to achieve the decompression results has attachment points to fix the body from the two natural upright positions, sitting and standing. This position will drive all not fixed parts under the attachment point down by gravity in a very natural way. There is no restriction in time by applying this method. Abstract: A gait training apparatus for determining, in real time, how much weight is being supported on each side of the patient, even when the patient's shoulders are rotating as they do when walking. The apparatus employs two force sensors in an upper assembly that is connected to a supporting frame. The patient's harness is attached to a lower assembly which is rotatably suspended from the upper assembly. When a harnessed patient walks, the weight of each side of the patient is mechanically transferred from the rotating lower assembly to the force sensors on the non-rotating upper assembly. Each force sensor emits an electronic signal proportional to the load on the sensor, and enables the apparatus to measure in real time the weight supported on each side. A processing unit calculates the weight supported on each side of the patient and the total amount of the weight supported.

The invention is a stabilizer assembly with a hinge coupled to the wheelbase of each front leg of a walker. A stabilizer bar configured to be in a stowed or deployed position is coupled to the hinge.
