Abstract: An item holder includes a receiving well with an upper opening. First and second air bladders are disposed in the receiving well. Upper portions of outer casings of the air bladders are substantially flush with the upper opening of the receiving well when the air bladders are in an inflated condition. Also, the abutment portions abut one another along an abutment seam when the air bladders are in an inflated condition. A sensor may be sued to detect the receiving of an item in the receiving well. Valves assemblies are opened as the sensors detect an item being received in the receiving well. The item compresses a filler material disposed within the air bladders as the item is received in the receiving well. When the item is removed from the receiving well, the filler material expands to inflate the air bladders to the at-rest position.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a pneumatic inflator for automatically inflating inflatable articles, such as dunnage bags, to a desired pressure. Generally, once activated, the pneumatic inflator of the present disclosure inflates an inflatable article via a compressed air source until the air pressure inside the inflatable article reaches an operator-selected desired pressure. Thereafter, the pneumatic inflator automatically stops inflating the inflatable article. In various embodiments, the pneumatic inflator also includes a manual shut-off that, when activated while the pneumatic inflator is inflating the inflatable article, causes the pneumatic inflator to stop inflating the inflatable article. The pneumatic inflator of the present disclosure thus enables automatic inflation of inflatable articles to particular, operated-selected desired pressures with limited operator input.

Abstract: An optical module, used for lighting and/or signalling purposes for a motor vehicle, includes a support delimiting a compartment for receiving a functional component such as a fan. A clamping element, preferably produced as a single part, can be used to block an opening of the compartment and lock the component in its operational position. The clamping element, separate from the support and provided with two arms, is engaged and clipped on against at least one engaging protrusion formed laterally on the support in order to achieve the locking. An elastic return effect of at least one of the two arms allows the clamping element to be engaged at the rear of the protrusion and held in place. For unlocking, a flexible actuation portion formed in the clamping element can be actuated in order to move one of the two arms outwards and allow unclipping to take place.

Abstract: A control system for a vehicle includes a cabin monitoring system disposed at a vehicle and operable to detect presence of at least one occupant in the vehicle. The cabin monitoring system is operable to determine a temperature at an occupant detected in the vehicle. A control is operable to control a climate control system of the vehicle. The control, responsive to a determined temperature at a detected occupant, adjusts the temperature setting of the climate control system of the vehicle. The control system may adjust the temperature setting in accordance with a temperature setting preselected by the detected occupant. The system may detect multiple occupants in the vehicle and may adjust the temperature setting for each zone of the vehicle where an occupant is detected.

Abstract: A bumper beam includes an outer portion and an inner portion each extending between a top end and a bottom end. At least one of the outer portion or the inner portion includes a pair of geometrical features each of which are disposed in spaced relationship to one another and adjacent a respective one of the top or bottom ends. A top wall and a bottom wall each extend from one of the geometrical features to the other of the outer portion or the inner portion to interconnect the outer and inner portions of the bumper beam. The geometrical features can be varied in size and shape to change and tune the energy absorption properties of the bumper beam and ultimately provide for a bumper beam that is adaptable and flexible over a range of vehicle applications.

Abstract: A travel control apparatus comprises a first detector configured to detect an obstacle around a subject vehicle traveling in a first lane and a second detector configured to detect a second lane adjacent to the first lane. The travel control apparatus sets a first range at a target position for lane change in the second lane. The first range has a size equal to or larger than a size which the subject vehicle occupies on a road surface. The travel control apparatus detects a range in the second lane as a second range. The range in the second lane is located at a side of the subject vehicle, and the obstacle is absent in the range in the second lane. The travel control apparatus permits the subject vehicle to change lanes when the second range includes the first range.
