Abstract: Herein is described an invention comprising a customized bow tie of 2 basic parts: a bow strip and a neck band. The bow strip may be pre-tied or otherwise, and is held in shape by a tubular bow loop, located in the center of the tied bow strip. The neck band portion has an unrestricted path through the bow strip. The neck band is not adjustable. It is customized to the size of wearer and does not employ hook and pile fabric fasteners. The absences of any fasteners, means no need to employ dexterity needed to adjust fasteners and hooks and also eliminates bulk in shirt collar.

Abstract: A process for fabricating a three-dimensional, multi-layered fabric product with a moisture barrier is provided. A partially seamed inner lining fabric assembly having at least a two-dimensional shape is laminated with a membrane barrier film having flaps left un-laminated to cover at least one seam. The inner lining fabric assembly is further seamed and flaps of the of the membrane barrier film overlapped into contact with each other and sealed to provide a continuous moisture barrier. A process for fabricating a stretchable section of a garment with a moisture barrier is also provided. At least a section of a garment is formed from fibers arranged in a pattern having a direction of stretch in one direction and a three-dimensional surface texture such that a portion of the fibers protrude above another portion of the fibers. The stretchable section is stretched in the direction of stretch.

Abstract: The technology described herein relates to breathable, vented, and insulating garments. More particularly, the technology described herein relates to garments with chambers to retain an insulating fill material. Openings along seams between the insulating chambers may achieve evaporative moisture or air transfer from the inside (proximal to the body of a wearer) of the garment to the outside environment. In an aspect, the openings along the seams are offset with interior openings, wherein the interior openings are connected to the exterior openings by a passage between garment layers.

Abstract: A device for adjusting the fit of a garment may include a track having a plurality of track teeth; and a button including a shoe designed to removably engage with the track; a spring operatively engaged with the shoe; and a plurality of button teeth operatively attached to the spring. When the spring is not compressed, the plurality of button teeth may be designed to removably engage with the plurality of track teeth, and when the spring is compressed, the plurality of button teeth may be designed to disengage from the plurality of track teeth. The device may be attached to the waistband of a garment, resulting in a garment with an adjustable sized waist.

The engaging portions may be aligned so as to form a lattice. Eyes of the lattice may be triangular, rectangular, or hexagonal. Each of the engaging portions may have a hole through the fabric. The engaging portions may comprise eyelets, each of which being fixed to the hole at an external perimeter of the eyelet. Each of the decorating portions may comprise a string, and the string may be queued through or tied at some of the eyelets, so as to form the letter or pattern.

Internal padding contacts an inner surface of the inner shell and an energy absorbing layer is positioned between the inner shell and the outer shell assembly. The outer shell assembly includes a plurality of rigid, outer shell segments with at least one of the outer shell segments designed and arranged to move relative to the other outer shell segments upon receiving an impact force. The external energy absorbing layer and the outer shell assembly dampens impact energy before it reaches the inner shell.

The draw strip is bonded to the heat absorbing surface (152) of the thermoelectric cooling module and extends outwardly from the module. A biasing assembly (134, 186) urges the portions of the draw strip spaced from the thermoelectric cooling module against the skin of the individual wearing the personal protection system.

Abstract: A helmet removal system includes a detachable helmet liner configured to be positioned in a helmet. The helmet liner includes a central portion configured to receive a user's head therein, a frontal portion integrally formed with the central portion and configured to engage a user's frontal head portion. The helmet liner further includes dual side tab portions integrally formed with the central portion. The dual tab portions are configured to be moved between a folded position, inside of the helmet, to an unfolded position. The helmet liner further includes a top portion extending between opposing edges of the central portion. The helmet liner also includes a rear portion integrally connected to the central portion to provide balanced engagement with the back of a user's head. Helmet removal is achieved by applying lateral pulling forces to the dual tab portions.

Abstract: Disclosed here are a triboelectric generator electrode, manufacturing methods thereof, and light emitting shoes. The triboelectric generator electrode includes a porous electrode layer and a high molecular polymer insulating layer, and the porous electrode layer and the high molecular polymer insulating layer are mutually embedded to form an embedded body. The manufacturing method of the triboelectric generator electrode includes the following steps: (1) brushing a high molecular polymer insulating coating on the surface of a template having a microstructure, and carrying out a degassing treatment; (2) cutting a porous electrode layer with a smooth surface into a target size; (3) fitting the porous electrode layer to the surface of the high molecular polymer insulating coating, and carrying out a curing treatment; and (4) taking a high molecular polymer insulating coating/porous electrode layer composite film from the surface of the template.

Abstract: A shoe with a three-dimensional (3-D) surface texture created using rapid manufacturing techniques is provided. A plurality of 3-D surface texture options is presented on a user interface; each of the options is associated with one of a plurality of 3-D surface textures to be applied to a portion of a shoe. A selection of a 3-D surface texture is received and is used in part to generate a design file. The design file is used to instruct a rapid manufacturing device to manufacture the portion of the shoe comprised of the 3-D surface texture using a rapid manufacturing technique.

Abstract: An attachable shoe lace cover for a shoe is described. The shoe lace cover comprises of a foldable strap at a front portion, a pair of eyelets or apertures or holes at a back portion, a display area at a top portion equipped to exhibit display material and the shoe lace cover is attached to the shoe with the help of its shoe laces through the pair of eyelets or apertures or holes. The foldable strap is capable of folding back to seal at a back portion of the shoe lace cover, thus helping in firmly fixing the shoe lace cover to the shoe.

Abstract: An article of footwear, such as a shoe, includes an upper and a sole. The upper may be formed with an outer layer and a floating textile layer relative to one or more portions of the outer layer. The floating textile layer has an apparent elongation that is less than an apparent elongation of the outer layer in response to an equal tensile force applied to each of the floating textile layer and the outer layer along a same axis of orientation. The differential in apparent elongation of the outer layer and the floating textile layer may increase wearability and functionability of the upper.

Abstract: An improved article of footwear includes a sole structure and an upper. The upper is coupled to the sole structure and is configured to receive at least a portion of a human foot. The upper further includes a toebox, a medial quarter, a lateral quarter, a heel cup. The upper also includes a three dimensional auxetic structure at least partially formed within the medial quarter, lateral quarter, and heel cup of the upper. The three dimensional auxetic structure defines a primary expansion direction, a secondary expansion direction, and a tertiary expansion direction. The secondary expansion direction is transverse to the primary expansion direction. The tertiary expansion direction is normal to the plane defined by the primary expansion direction and the secondary expansion direction. Furthermore, the upper of the article of footwear is constructed via a thermoforming process.

Abstract: Systems and apparatus related to footwear including a modular lacing engine are discussed. In an example, a modular footwear apparatus including an upper portion, a lower portion, and a lacing engine is described. The upper portion can include a lace to adjust fit of the upper portion against a foot, the lace adjustable between a first position and a second position based at least in part on manipulation of an effective length of the lace. The lower portion can include a mid-sole and an out-sole, and the lower portion can be coupled to the upper portion at the mid-sole. The lacing engine can include a top-loading lace spool to engage a loop of the lace to enable manipulation of the effective length of the lace through rotation of the lace spool, the lacing engine received within a cavity in the lower portion.

The container includes a self-inflating wall structure that has an inner layer or skin, an outer layer or skin, the two skins being welded together, and a resilient, open-cell insulating layer trapped between the two skins.
