  • Patent number: 10093424
Abstract: A gas turbine engine includes a fan section delivering air into a compressor section. The compressor section compresses air and delivers air into a combustion section. Products of combustion pass from the combustion section over a turbine section to drive the fan section and main compressor sections. A gearbox is driven by the turbine section to drive the fan section. An environmental control system includes a higher pressure tap at a higher pressure location in the compressor section, and a lower pressure tap at a lower pressure location. The lower pressure location being at a lower pressure than the higher pressure location. The lower pressure tap communicates to a first passage leading to a downstream outlet, and having a second passage leading into a compressor section of a turbocompressor. The higher pressure tap leads into a turbine section of the turbocompressor such that air in the higher pressure tap drives the turbine section to in turn drive the compressor section of the turbocompressor.

  • Patent number: 10093461
Abstract: The tube (1) includes a connector (9) with a dispensing duct (13) which connects a dispensing opening (11) to a reservoir (3). For the dosed dispensing of a liquid from the reservoir (3) through the dispensing opening (11), a throttle insert (31) is inserted into a distal section (9b) of the connector (9) and is connected in form-fitting fashion to the connector (9). The connection of the throttle insert (31) to the connector (9) is preferably realized by a radial pressing action. The throttle insert (31) is preferably of dome-like form and delimits at least one primary throttle duct (47) which forms in the dispensing duct a constriction which limits the volume flow of the liquid from the reservoir (3) to the dispensing opening (11).

Abstract: A lid for a disposable coffee cup is provided which permits a user to drink from a beverage can, such as a beer or pop can, suspended within the interior of the disposable coffee cup. The lid has an outer rim which engages with the rim of the disposable cup. It also has an inner circular attachment ring attached to the inner surface of the lid which has tabs to grasp the rim of the beverage can and form an upper chamber through which the beverage can flow from the beverage can opening to the lid's drinking aperture. The beverage flows from the beverage can through the lid aperture when the cup is tipped. The user can thereby drink from the beverage can without the user's lips touching the can surface. Also it appears to an observer that the user is drinking from the disposable cup, not the beverage can, and also the beverage can is insulated to keep it cold.

  • Patent number: 10093463
Abstract: A cap for bottles that allows the user to select one or more additives. A base has an axis with a coaxial cavity, typically threaded, for attachment to the bottle. A housing rotates and reciprocates on the axis. A mechanism biases the housing from the base on the axis in a storage position. Pushing the housing against the biasing mechanism moves the housing to an operative position. Compartments arranged in a circle around the axis inside the housing hold the additives. An opening in the compartment bottom is covered by a frangible seal. As the housing rotates, the compartment openings align with an aperture in the base that extends into the cavity. Sharp spikes extending from the aperture puncture the seal when the housing is pushed to the operative position, thereby creating a hole for the additive to flow into the bottle.

Abstract: A receiving box comprises a cover and a base. The cover comprises a first slit, a first connection part and a top surface. The first slit and the first connection part are respectively disposed at opposite sides of the top surface. The base comprises a first convex portion comprising two first bending parts and a first link part, and a second convex portion. The first convex portion is correspondingly disposed at the first slit. The second convex portion is correspondingly disposed at the first connection part. Two first bending parts are respectively located on opposite sides of the first link part. When the cover combines with the base, the second convex portion inserts into the first connection part, the first convex portion inserts into the first slit, the two first bending parts bend to contact the top surface. Thus, the cover firmly attaches to the base.

  • Patent number: 10093465
Abstract: A cable tie includes a band that extends lengthwise from a first end to a second end. The cable tie also includes a housing, affixed near the second end, with a first opening to receive the first end of the band when the first end of the band is brought toward the housing in a loop. The housing includes: walls that enclose a space and have a stop toward the second end of the band; a first mass in the space; and a second mass placed in the space and between the first mass and the stop. When the first end is inserted into the housing, the first end passes under the first mass and the second mass and exerts a pull on the first mass toward the second mass. When the first mass is pulled toward the second mass, the second mass acts as a spring between the first mass and the stop and prevents the first mass from hitting the stop.
