Patent number: 10150580Abstract: Flame deflectors for rocket launchpads have historically been constructed on-site by spraying on a layer of refractory cement material, resulting in large monolithic structures which lack durability and are vulnerable to degradation by ambient weather. By assembling together a plurality of metal modules and refractory material modules, one obtains a flame deflector structure whose set of modules is matched to an expected heat distribution pattern of the exhaust from the rocket to be launched. Further, modules can be prefabricated at another location, under controlled conditions, and subsequently installed. In case of damage during a launch, any damaged modules can be swapped out and replaced by new modules, thereby minimizing cost and downtime before a subsequent launch event. The modules can be made more weather-resistant by applying an epoxy sealant to their rocket-facing surfaces.Type: GrantFiled: April 13, 2017Date of Patent: December 11, 2018Inventor: Peter Nicholas Renzi

Patent number: 10150585Abstract: A bottle may have varying depth ribs to achieve a balance of strength and rigidity while maintaining hoop strength. The varying depth ribs may smoothly transition around the circumference of the bottle from a flattened and/or shallow depth rib portion to a deep rib portion. A collection of flattened and/or shallow depth ribs act as recessed columns in the body of the bottle to resist bending, leaning, crumbling, and/or stretching. The deep rib portions provide hoop strength and make the bottle body more rigid and/or stiffer when gripped by a user. A balance may be achieved between of flattened and/or shallow depth ribs and deep ribs to attain a desired resistance to bending, leaning, and/or stretching while maintaining stiffness in a lightweight bottle.Type: GrantFiled: August 28, 2013Date of Patent: December 11, 2018Assignee: Niagara Bottling, LLCInventors: Andrew Dimitri Peykoff, Jay Clarke Hanan

Patent number: 10150587Abstract: A hinge assembly is disclosed between two walls sections of a container which are pivotable relative to one another, with a hinge pin provided at a first wall section and a hinge pin attachment provided at a second wall section, the hinge pin fitting positively in the hinge pin attachment and being rotationally and translationally movable in such a way as to allow a parallel shift of the rotational axis of the hinge pin. A pair of guide contours are provided on the wall sections, in contact with one another and formed separately from the hinge pin and hinge pin attachment to define a simultaneous rotational and translational movement of the hinge pin in the hinge pin attachment.Type: GrantFiled: July 25, 2017Date of Patent: December 11, 2018Assignee: SCHOELLER ALLIBERT GMBHInventors: Michael Berling, Steve Loftus

Patent number: 10150588Abstract: A panel for a container includes an outer edge to be connected to the container and a tab connected to the panel. The tab has a rear tab part for gripping by a user and a front tab part for engagement with the panel and forming an opening in the panel. The panel is provided with deformation means which structurally deform upon a transition of the panel into a convex shape and which locked in the deformed state urge the panel to a substantially flat or concave shape.Type: GrantFiled: November 12, 2010Date of Patent: December 11, 2018Assignee: Ardagh MP Group Netherlands B.V.Inventor: Fabrice Leboucher
