Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a golf ball exhibiting an excellent shot feeling and resilience, and a constituent material thereof. The present invention provides a golf ball resin composition having a bending stiffness (M3-12) ranging from 300 kgf/cm2 to 24,000 kgf/cm2 at a bending angle from 3° to 12°, a ratio (M3-12/M24-30) of the bending stiffness (M3-12) at the bending angle from 3° to 12° to a bending stiffness (M24-30) at a bending angle from 24° to 30° ranging from 0.20 to 2.00, and a slab hardness ranging from 30 to 65 in Shore D hardness.

Abstract: Golf ball comprising cast layer of thermoset polymer mixture having centering time Ct1 and consisting of: (i) a thermoset polymer composition consisting of polyurethane composition, polyurea composition, and/or polyurethane/polyurea hybrid composition; and (ii) a treated fumed silica compound in an amount such that centering time Ct1 is independent of the thermoset polymer mixture's degree of cure and lower than a centering time Ct2 of the thermoset polymer composition (which is dependent on its gel window Gw). The treated fumed silica compound may be surface treated with at least one of polydimethylsiloxane, hexamethyldisilazane, and dimethyldichlorosilane. In some embodiments, delta time ?t1 between a dispensing time Dt1 of the thermoset polymer mixture and centering time Ct1 is less than a delta time ?t2 between Ct1 and centering time Ct2. Centering time Ct1 and dispensing time Dt1 may differ by less than 10 seconds or even by 5 seconds or less.

In another embodiment, the outer cover may be a standalone item usable with an existing golf flagstick. In another embodiment, the outer cover may be provided as a component of a kit to retrofit an existing golf flagstick. In another embodiment, a method of increasing force absorption of a golf flagstick is disclosed to reduce spacing between the flagstick and a golf ball striking the flagstick after the ball comes to rest. The method includes adding a resilient material to the flagstick to absorb force delivered by the ball.

Abstract: A hockey-stick blade includes a reinforcing frame that provides improved strength, rigidity, and impact resistance. The reinforcing frame may be continuous along the top, bottom, and toe edges of the hockey-stick blade. The reinforcing frame optionally is a tubular structure made of fiber-reinforced epoxy resin. The interior of the reinforcing frame may include a core made of a resilient material, such as an expandable syntactic foam. Fiber reinforcement may also be included in the frame's construction.

Abstract: A sporting implement, such as a blade for a hockey stick, may include an outer layer, a core, and a recovery gel positioned between the core and the outer layer. The recovery gel can form a film, be compressible, shape recoverable, and pressurized to a predetermined pressure. The recovery gel can be configured to provide an integrated agent for filling cracks that appear during use of the blade and configured to absorb energy impacts between the outer layer and the core. When a crack appears, the predetermined pressure can be relieved inside the crack and fills a cavity formed by the crack to provide cohesion between the outer layer and the core to recreate a new material in the place of the crack. The recovery gel can be configured to help prevent cracks from propagating and actively heals potential damages by reducing stiffness loss caused by cracks.

The wireless system utilizes a constant voltage applied to each opponent's sword, and a square wave voltage applied to the lame and other equipment of an opponent, such that voltage changes are utilized to detect contact events. The contact events are recorded in each opponent's transmitter (worn by the opponent) and converted to data for transmitting to a common receiver of the wireless system. The wireless system replaces the reel cord that traditionally connects the body cord of each fencing opponent to a scoring apparatus.

Abstract: A hand wearable visual training aid device worn by the hand of a golfer and for use with a golf club having a clubface is presented and described herein. The hand wearable visual training aid device includes a glove or hand strap and a multisided guide and reference unit mounted to the glove or hand strap. The multisided guide and reference unit mounted on the hand wearable visual training aid device is used to visually assist and guide the wrist of the golfer which, in turn, promotes clubface alignment prior to impact, providing a better strike and center hit for achieving greater accuracy and distance on the golf ball.

Abstract: A golf swing training device including a hinge interposed between two elongated members. The hinge permits the elongated members to selectively break from longitudinal alignment along a first axis with the first elongated member when a prescribed differential force between the first elongated member and the second elongated member is applied to break the longitudinal alignment. The golf swing training device includes a club head including a club head face and a hosel, wherein the hosel is configured to receive an end of the second elongated member. The hosel includes a face angle adjustment mechanism having a plurality of settings to adjust a club face angle of the club head relative to one or more axes of the hinge assembly. Abstract: A golf utility device includes upper and lower baseplates and a ball alignment tool. The alignment tool is mechanically coupled with, but rotationally independent of, the upper and lower base plates. The alignment tool includes an upper surface with an arrow. Before putting, a golfer places the golf utility device on the green behind a ball that has been circumscribed with an annular ring, removes the ball, calculates the line of play, and aligns the arrow therewith. The ball is then returned to the green with the annular ring aligned by the arrow on the alignment tool. A golfer subsequently aligns his putt using the alignment of the annular ring. Additional golf tools may be attached to the upper or lower baseplates, including, but not limited to, a ball marker, a divot repair tool, a range finder, a spike wrench, a golf tee, and a fidget/focus device.

Abstract: An erosion resistant composition includes a granular material and a wax including oil in which a weight percent of the oil in the wax is between 0.01-15%. The granular material includes a sand and has a first resistance to flow prior to being coated with the wax. The wax at least partially coats a portion of the granular material to form the erosion resistant composition which has a second resistance to flow after coating that is greater than the first resistance to flow prior to coating. The erosion resistant composition may be used, for example, in golf course bunkers or other landscaping applications. Related methods of making the erosion resistant composition are also described in which the granular material is dried, the wax is heated, and the granular material is blended with the melted wax.

Abstract: A training apparatus is disclosed, which includes a first strap configured to attach to a first limb, and a second strap configured to attach to a second limb. The training apparatus also includes a severable connector assembly coupled to the first strap on one end, and to the second strap on an opposite end. The severable connector assembly is reusable and configured to sever according to a threshold breakaway force. In a particular embodiment, the severable connector assembly is an injection design comprising a male component configured to mate with a female component, and further configured to sever from the female component according to a threshold breakaway force. In another embodiment, the severable connector assembly is a magnetic design comprising a first clasp configured to magnetically attach to a second clasp, and further configured to sever from the second clasp according to a threshold breakaway force.

Abstract: A fitness apparatus is described which can be configured to operate both as a bag for carrying and storing exercise equipment and as a fixed anchor to which the exercise equipment can be connected. When operated as a bag, the apparatus can be filled with accessories and attachments that are utilized while performing exercises. These accessories can include, for example, Yoga Ropes, Pilates Springs, or Pulley Ropes. The fitness apparatus is converted to a fixed anchor by unzipping a zipper and turning the bag inside out, thereby exposing straps which are sewn onto the inside of the bag, and wrapping the straps around a door to provide fixed anchor points to which the accessories can be affixed. The straps which are wrapped around the door can be connected to one another on the opposite side of the door from the bag, thereby securing the apparatus to the door.

Abstract: This disclosure pertains to a storage rack for weights, or “weight rack” or “dumbbell rack” as commonly referred to in the exercise equipment industry, which includes in-plane identification markings, such as numbering, designating both the location and amount of a particular weight supported by the rack. The in-plane identification markings are formed in at least one user reference surface to designate the weight of the dumbbell to be supported in that specific location of the rack. The in-plane identification markings are formed in at least one of the horizontal support members proximate to the saddles that receive the dumbbells. The in-plane identification markings are extremely durable and provide guidance for users of the weights as to precisely where to return the weights after use. Returning the weights to their proper location on the weight rack improves usage of the racks and reduces clean-up efforts by employees.

Abstract: System and techniques for positional analysis using computer vision sensor synchronization are described herein. A set of sensor data may be obtained for a participant of an activity. A video stream may be captured in response to detection of a start of the activity in the set of sensor data. The video stream may include images of the participant engaging in the activity. A key stage of the activity may be identified by evaluation of the sensor data. A key frame may be selected from the video stream using a timestamp of the sensor data used to identify the key stage of the activity. A skeletal map may be generated for the participant in the key frame using key points of the participant extracted from the key frame. Instructional data may be selected using the skeletal map. The instructional data may be displayed on a display device.

The air channel includes a forward air chamber and a pair of rear chambers. A support structure forms a divide between the pair of rear chambers with the front air chamber being generally unobstructed. The support structure may be relatively narrow and positioned rearward of an upper lingual ridge of the mouth guard.

Abstract: An apparatus for holding a footwear heel to a snow travel aid is provided. The apparatus comprises a mountable base connected to a generally vertical post and an upper portion having at least one forward connector for connecting the upper portion to the heel. The upper portion is rotatable on the post between a downhill position and at least one touring position and comprises at least one part which travels over a prominence at a fixed location relative to the upper portion during rotation from the downhill position to the touring position. The at least one part becomes engageable with a depression adjacent the prominence when the upper portion is in the touring position to resist rotation from the touring position back to the downhill position. The post comprises a feature that provides clearance for the at least one part to travel over the prominence or which functions as the prominence and depression. A fluid pump is coupled with the coolant line and is configured to circulate liquid through the coolant line and over the cold tube section of the geothermal heat pump to dispense heat before being recirculated to the ice forming surface of the outdoor structure.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for playing a board game which includes at least two distinguishable sets of playing pieces, each set being assigned to one player of the game, a game surface set by the players from assigned surface tiles, and dice, a pair being assigned to each player of the game. Players set up the game surface, and thereafter playing pieces, in an order determined by each player rolling a pair of dice. Setup is thereby varied each game to provide a new challenge. Players, in order, act by moving playing pieces, jumping over opposing playing pieces and removing them, and attacking opposing playing pieces. Winning an attack involves having the highest score on a roll of the dice and the winner's piece remains on the game surface. A player wins if they are the only one with pieces remaining on the game surface.

Abstract: A computerized method for operation of laser tag melee weapons is disclosed. The laser tag melee weapons contain infrared emitters, infrared receivers, microprocessors, accelerometers, and gyroscopes. The operation of the infrared emitter is based upon a pattern of signals received by the microprocessor from the accelerometer and gyroscope. The method is also directed toward altering game play information (such as user health, weapon status, power ups, or other game information) based on a pattern of signals received by the microprocessor from the accelerometer and gyroscope. When a user makes a specific movement pattern of the laser tag melee weapon, the microprocessors recognize the specific movement based on patterns of signals received. The microprocessors also compare signals received from the accelerometer and gyroscope to hit signals received from infrared receivers to determine if a user should be “hit” in the game.

Video frames of the first video stream are configured to be rendered on a display associated with the gaming system, and in some embodiments, without being encoded. An encoder of the system encodes the video frames of the second video stream, which are transmitted to a client device of the second user for game play.

Abstract: A mobile computing device provides real-time streaming of multiple sources of audio and video. The mobile computing device receives audio and video streams from multiple sources, including a camera video stream, a microphone audio stream, a game audio stream, and a game video stream. The device adjusts microphone and/or the game input levels based on a user-selected audio mix setting to produce rebalanced microphone and game audio streams, multiplexes the rebalanced microphone and game audio streams to produce a multiplexed audio stream, and encodes the multiplexed audio stream to produce an encoded audio stream. The user-selected audio mix setting may be adjusted by a user of the mobile computing device. The mobile computing device packages the encoded audio stream with an encoded video stream of composited camera and game video streams into one or more streaming packets, and outputs the one or more streaming packets.

Abstract: A computer system is provided that stores data for a plurality of virtual objects and elements that are positioned within a virtual space. Each of the virtual objects can adopt different states depending on which elements are determined to have collided with the virtual objects. If the element does affect the virtual object, then the state for that object is updated. Further, a new element is then generated based on this change in state of the virtual object.
