Publication number: 20180361949Abstract: In an in-vehicle camera, when an in-vehicle camera body is hooked on a hook portion of a bracket attached to a windshield, a leaf spring presses the in-vehicle camera body against the bracket to fix the in-vehicle camera body to the bracket. Therefore, the in-vehicle camera body can be attached to the windshield without permitting the windshield to come off from the vehicle by the bracket's being strongly pushed such as by a jig, or without permitting the jig to scratch the windshield. Since the in-vehicle camera body is fixed to the bracket by being pressed against the bracket by the leaf spring, there is no problem of causing backlash relative to the bracket.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 28, 2018Publication date: December 20, 2018Inventor: Syo OKUDA

The controller is configured to determine whether the determination process is being performed by the sensor detection signal determination unit each when the antenna driving unit transmits the drive signal. The controller is configured to cause the antenna driving unit to transmit the drive signal after the sensor detection signal determination unit finishes the determination process in a case where the controller determines that the determination process is being performed by the sensor detection signal determination unit.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 26, 2018Publication date: December 20, 2018Applicant: TOYOTA JIDOSHA KABUSHIKI KAISHAInventors: Shigeki NISHIYAMA, Tomoyuki FUNAYAMA, Yuuto KAMEYAMA

Publication number: 20180361991Abstract: A vehicle control system includes a vehicle apparatus and a key. A confirmer of the vehicle apparatus is configured to confirm existence or non-existence of a second key, which is different from a first key, in a vehicle interior in response to locking of a vehicle by the first key. An authenticator of the key is configured to perform an authentication for authenticating that a user using the key is an authenticated user. An effectivity controller of the vehicle apparatus is configured to disable a function of a permitter concerning the second key when the second key exists in the vehicle interior and the authentication concerning the second key is unsuccessful. The effectivity controller is configured to enable the function of the permitter concerning the second key when the second key exists in the vehicle interior and the authentication concerning the second key is successful.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 21, 2016Publication date: December 20, 2018Inventor: Hironori MITSUBAYASHI

Publication number: 20180361992Abstract: The present invention is to provide a vehicle lighting system which can inform a predefined area outside a vehicle to a user. The microcomputer unlocks a door lock when the user approaches a drive area, and opens a sliding door. A lighting section illuminates the drive area of the ground and a movable area of the back door to inform the drive area and the movable area. The microcomputer causes the lighting section to illuminate the drive area and the movable area when detecting that there is a person around the stopped vehicle.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 23, 2018Publication date: December 20, 2018Applicant: Yazaki CorporationInventor: Hiroyasu TAKAGI

Publication number: 20180361993Abstract: A biometric lock system includes a vehicle that has a driver's side door. The driver's side door has a handle and a door lock and the vehicle has a steering wheel lock. A fingerprint unit is coupled to the vehicle and the fingerprint unit is positioned on the handle. In this way the fingerprint unit reads a fingerprint when the handle is gripped. The fingerprint unit is in electrical communication with the door lock and the steering wheel lock. Moreover, the fingerprint unit unlocks the door lock and the steering wheel lock when the fingerprint matches an authorized fingerprint. In this way the fingerprint unit inhibits the vehicle from being stolen.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 14, 2017Publication date: December 20, 2018Inventor: Forrester J. Carroll

Publication number: 20180361998Abstract: A vision system of a vehicle includes a camera module configured to be disposed at an exterior portion of a vehicle. The camera module includes a mounting base and a camera that is pivotally mounted at the mounting base. The camera includes an imager and a lens. The camera is pivoted relative to the mounting base between a stowed position and a deployed position. The camera module includes a wiping element that is disposed at the mounting base and configured to wipe the lens when the camera is pivoted between the stowed and deployed positions. A portion of the wiping element is disposed at a lens wiping region and configured to wipe the lens when the camera is pivoted between the stowed and deployed positions. Pivoting the camera between the stowed and deployed positions causes presentation of a clean portion of the wiping element to wipe the lens.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 13, 2018Publication date: December 20, 2018Inventor: Ronald R.
