Abstract: Using Peptides encapsulated in Rhamnolipid Liposomes for agriculture applications. The chemically synthesized peptide ParE3, is an analogue from the ParE protein that acts on a Toxin-Antitoxin system. This application inhibits DNA Gyrase and Topoisomerase IV (Topo IV) activities, blocking the DNA bacterial replication and regulating its cell growth for new antimicrobial applications. Because Rhamnolipid has both hydrophilic and hydrophobic components, the Rhamnolipid Liposome combination facilitates the entry of the peptide into cell membranes. Cell permeability is created by using this application. When Using Peptides with Rhamnolipid Liposomes, microbial inhibition is obtained.

Abstract: To reduce problems associated with clotting and thrombus formation, it is now common to “lock” intravascular access catheters between successive uses. Locking typically involves first flushing the catheter with saline to remove blood and other substances from the catheter lumen. After the catheter has been flushed, an anti-coagulant solution is injected to displace the saline and fill the lumen. Use of an effective antimicrobial substance along with anticoagulant during the same process is important to reduce the possibility of bacterial contamination and subsequent infection. The present invention deals with a safe, effective and economical catheter lock flush solution with excellent antimicrobial and anticoagulant activity. The unique ratio of the active components of the catheter lock solution used in the invention i.e. Sodium salt(s) of EDTA, Ethanol and D-mannitol with a suitable pH ensures broad-spectrum antimicrobial and optimum anticoagulant activity.

In one example, a machine includes a hopper including a mixing chamber configured for bulk addition of raw materials for preparation of flatbread pieces; a mixing assembly configured to blend the raw materials into a flatbread dough mixture; a dough piecing assembly configured to generate a dough piece from an extruded portion of the flatbread dough mixture; a lower platen configured to transfer the pressed flatbread dough piece to a cooking zone on the dough contacting surface for cooking; and a flatbread ejection station configured to remove a cooked flatbread piece from the machine. A second cooking zone can be included to further cook the pressed flatbread dough piece prior to ejection from the machine.
