Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to health monitoring of systems, and more particularly to monitor health of a system for fault signature identification. The system estimates Health Index (HI) of the system as time series data. By analyzing data corresponding to the estimated HI, the system identifies one or more time windows in which majority of the estimated HI values are low as a low HI window, and one or more time windows in which majority of the estimated HI values are high as a high HI window. Upon identifying a low HI window, which indicates an abnormal behavior of the system being monitored, based on a local Bayesian Network generated for the system being monitored, an Explainability Index (EI) for each sensor is generated, wherein the EI quantifies contribution of the sensor to the low HI. Further, associated component(s) is identified as contributing to abnormal/faulty behavior of the system.

Abstract: An example method comprises performing for each class from a plurality of classes: constructing binary training set for the class, the binary training set including labeled cases for that class from the main training set other labeled cases from the main training set; training classifier for the class on the binary training set; computing a local calibration threshold using scores of the labeled cases in the binary training set; and adjusting all scores of the label cases in the binary training set with the local calibration threshold to meet a global decision threshold. The method also comprises determining, with the processor, a global hierarchical calibration threshold by using the adjusted scores for all classes to optimize a performance measurement of all trained classifiers. The method further comprises classifying, with the processor, a new case by using a previously trained classifier, a local calibration threshold, and the global hierarchical calibration threshold.

Abstract: Artificially Intelligent systems are able to draw inferences and conclusions by analyzing information in natural language and then using such information to prove or disprove hypotheses. The quality of such inferences is directly dependent on the accuracy of the input data corpus. Given the proliferation of the Internet as well as the dubious data sources on social media, it is important to determine the truthfulness of the input information. Combining concepts of library classification, crowd-sourced curation and Google Scholar search, we propose the concept of the Veracity Index and an algorithm to calculate it. This index can be used in Artificial Systems to determine the confidence measurement of the inferences.

Abstract: Described herein are frameworks and methodologies configured to enable integration of booking and access control for service providers. Embodiments of the invention have been particularly developed for allowing a user to gain access to an access controlled resource (for example a hotel room or the like) via a mobile device. This preferably occurs in the context of an arrangement where access rights are provided in real time upon completion of a booking. For example, some embodiments operate in the context of a mobile app and associated supporting infrastructure thereby to provide functionality to (i) find an available suitable resource; (ii) book that resource; (iii) provide payment; and (iv) gain access via the same mobile device. In some embodiments the technology leverages third party platforms for (i) to (iii), and provides (iv) based on output from processes at the third party platform(s).

In a non-limiting embodiment, a monitoring layer may be generated within an online experimentation platform that includes at least a first layer, and where a first online experiment is associated with the first layer, the monitoring layer includes a monitoring layer data bucket, and the first layer includes at least a first data bucket. First data representing user activity associated with a first plurality of identifiers may be obtained, the user activity being associated with the first layer. Second data representing at least one user engagement parameter may be generated, and a first discrepancy between the first and second data may be determined. The first discrepancy indicating a first amount of identifiers that include a first metadata tag associated with the first layer and lack a second metadata tag associated with the monitoring layer.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system designed to improve construction crew safety, quality, productivity, planning effectiveness and scheduling reliability. A back office system facilitates short interval planning, constraint removal, hazard identification and mitigation, and field crew labor performance reporting. The work package centric system will accommodate the smallest of organizations and projects, yet is scalable to meet the requirements of very large construction companies that execute complex, mega projects. Dashboards and reports can be customized by individual and the role they play within the organization. A frontline system has dynamic user interface graphics that displays crew performance for the tasks being executed that, combined, constitute a work package. The frontline system simplifies the reporting typically required by a frontline supervisor and encourages compliance with an interesting, easy to use interface.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and non-transitory computer readable media can identify a set of users that satisfy criteria associated with accuracy of claims, wherein each claim is submitted by a user and indicates a value for information associated with a page of a social networking system. A machine learning model can be trained based on training data including claims submitted by the set of users. One or more claims submitted by users can be evaluated based on the trained machine learning model to determine whether values for information associated with pages in the one or more claims are accurate.

Abstract: A processing device is to: identify, using digital interview data of interviewees captured during interviews, a subset of the interviewees that have a disability; label a first group of the interviewees as disabled and a second group of the interviewees as not disabled with reference to the disability; identify features from the digital interview data for the first group that correlate with the disability; formulate a digital fingerprint of the features that identifies how the first group differs from the second group with reference to the disability; map the digital fingerprint of the features onto a dataset of an interviewee belonging to the second group of the interviewees, to generate a mapped dataset; and determine, from the mapped dataset, effects of the digital fingerprint on a job performance score for the interviewee.

Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods for scheduling a resource that is shared by multiple people. The shared resource is included in a plurality of shared resources, and a number of attributes are associated with the plurality of shared resources. The attributes are grouped and arranged in a hierarchy. When a shared resource is to be used or scheduled, the hierarchy is analyzed to determine one or more shared resources in the plurality of shared resources to suggest to a requestor scheduling the shared resource.

Abstract: A service scheduling system (1) is configured to retrieve schedule information from a time-management system (2) of a service provider, whereat the schedule information assigns service intervals offered by the service provider to a plurality of clients. The service scheduling system (1) comprises a detector (13) configured to detect an event indicating that a client cannot be served in a first service interval assigned to said client according to the schedule information. The service scheduling system (1) further comprises a transmitter configured to transmit, to a communication terminal (3?) of a further client, information specifying a second service interval which is at least partly overlapping the first service interval, and a receiver configured to receive, from the communication terminal (3?) of the further client, acknowledgment information indicating that the further client agrees to get served in the second service interval.

Abstract: In order to facilitate conducting a financial transaction via wireless communication between an electronic device (such as a smartphone) and another electronic device (such as another smartphone), a secure element in the electronic device may generate, using an encryption key associated with the secure element, a signed blob based on a transaction amount and a merchant identifier. Then, the electronic device communicates connection information between the electronic device and the other electronic device. Moreover, the electronic device may establish a connection between the electronic device and the other electronic device based on the connection information, and may concurrently provide the signed blob to the other electronic device. After receiving a signed transaction blob from the other electronic device using the connection (which includes information needed to conduct the financial transaction), the electronic device provides the information to a server to conduct the financial transaction.
