  • Patent number: 10213842
Abstract: A temporary part is mounted onto the chuck of the diamond turning machine. A diamond turning tip of the diamond turning machine is used to form a reference surface on the temporary part, registering a baseline for a motion control system of the diamond turning machine. While the temporary part remains mounted to the diamond turning machine, a workpiece is mounted onto the temporary part, and the diamond tip is controlled relative to the reference surface to diamond turn a surface profile on the workpiece. Because the baseline established by the reference surface compensates for positional variations from mounting parts directly onto the chuck of the diamond turning machine, the length of the workpiece can be shaped to a designated length with a high degree of accuracy.

Abstract: A double side welding method used for producing a differential gear for welding a weld part to join a ring gear fitted on a gear case from both sides. The method uses welding distortion caused by welding to improve product accuracy. The method includes welding from both sides of a weld part where a first member and a second member, which are the objects being joined, face each other. The method is performed by first welding, which is performed from one side, and second welding, which is performed from the other opposite side from that first welding. Heat quantity adjustment, that adjusts the quantity of heat input to the weld part for the second welding, is performed after the first welding, and is carried out such that an amount of welding distortion that is the objective arises.

  • Patent number: 10213877
Abstract: A kind of aluminum alloy and corresponding heat treatment process applied to manufacturing aluminum/steel cladding plates which are resistant to high temperature brazing belong to alloy materials technology field. In the aluminum/steel cladding plates, the aluminum part was alloyed with 0.76%˜0.78% Si and 0.055˜0.10% Er in weight percent and the rest was Al and some unavoidable impurity. The Steel part was 08Al steel. After cladding cold rolling with deformation of 55%±2%, the aluminum/steel cladding plates were annealed at 510˜535° C. for different times. Then simulated brazing process was performed to optimize the range of annealing time and temperature. The so produced Al/St cladding plates could not only effectively solve the low interface strength in Al/St cladding plates, but also meet the mechanical properties which were necessary for further processing of Al/St cladding plates.

  • Patent number: 10213878
Abstract: An arc welding/brazing process is disclosed that is useful to join together a first copper piece and a second copper piece without damaging more heat-sensitive materials that may be located nearby is disclosed. The arc welding/brazing process includes using a non-consumable electrode wire, which electrically communicates with a weld control in a straight polarity orientation, to strike an arc across a gap established between a leading tip end of the electrode wire and the first copper piece. The current that flows through the arc when the arc is established heats the first copper piece such that the first copper piece becomes joined to a second copper piece. The joint between the first copper piece and the second copper piece may be an autogenous weld joint or a braze joint.
