Abstract: In thin sheet welding, when a heat input amount relative to a sheet thickness is too large, a welding defect such as a deviation from aim due to occurrence of a strain or burn through may easily occur. When a welding current is decreased to reduce the heat input amount, there is an issue in which an arc tends to become unstable. In arc welding that repeats short-circuit and arcing, first heat input period (Th) and second heat input period (Tc) having a heat input amount less than that of first heat input period (Th) are periodically repeated. This reduces the heat input amount into a welding object and suppresses burn through and a strain upon welding while making the arc stable.

Abstract: In a method of controlling a rotary table device, a clamp mechanism drive unit is controlled to unclamp a brake disk. Thereafter, a pressure of working fluid supplied to an unclamp fluid chamber is decreased, and a motor drive unit is controlled to rotate a motor. Then, the abrasion quantity of the piston and the clamp member is calculated based on a reference pressure and a pressure when the load torque of a spindle exceeded a reference load torque.

Abstract: The present invention provides a wafer polishing pad, the wafer polishing pad includes a polishing material layer, a plurality of recesses are formed on the top surface of the polishing material layer, and a warning element disposed within the polishing material layer, the warning element and the polishing material layer have different colors. The feature of the invention is that forming a warning element in the polishing material layer, when the visible state of the warning element is changed, for example, when the warning element appears, disappears or changes the shapes, it means that the wafer polishing pad needs to be replaced. In this way, the user can confirm the destroying situation of the wafer polishing pad easily, and also improving the manufacturing process efficiency.

Abstract: A disc-shaped polishing pad (1) is used for a polishing method of the present invention. The polishing pad (1) has a peripheral surface (111) on a polishing surface (10) side in an axial direction of the disc of a tapered surface whose diameter is reduced to the polishing surface (10). An angle formed by the peripheral surface (111) and the polishing surface (10) is 125° or more and less than 180°. The polishing pad (1) has a hardness immediately after a pressing surface is in close contact of 40 or more by a testing method specified in an appendix 2 of JIS K7312: 1996, “Spring Hardness Test Type C Testing Method”. A slurry containing abrasives is supplied to a polished surface larger than the polishing surface (10). The polishing surface (10) is pressed against the polished surface and the polishing pad (1) is moved to polish the polished surface.
