Abstract: A mounting angle detection device converts, into a bird's-eye view image, an image captured of the ground on which a target marking having two straight line parts parallel to each other and equal in width is marked, and searches for a mounting angle at which the two straight line parts in the bird's-eye view image are parallel to each other and equal in width. Even with a vehicle including an in-vehicle camera on the front or back, the mounting angle detection device detects an actual mounting angle of the camera and calibrates the mounting angle of the camera. The mounting angle detection device detects the mounting angle using, as the target marking, even a parking space that lacks a transverse line crossing the two straight line parts parallel to each other and equal in width, and calibrates the mounting angle to a correct mounting angle of the camera.

Abstract: Grease is present between a support face of a case and a supported face of a gear plate that are capable of rotating relative to each other. A ring-shaped first groove is formed in the support face so as to run in a circumferential direction around a rotation center of the support face. Second grooves that link a radial direction inside end of the support face and the first groove together, and third grooves that link a radial direction outside end of the support face and the first groove together, are also formed in the support face. The second grooves and the third grooves extend at an angle toward the same side as each other with respect to a radial direction of the support face (a radial direction centered on a swing axial center of the case).

Abstract: A vehicle includes a body with an underbody portion having an outer periphery. At least one traction wheel is rotatably coupled to the body. The traction wheel has a track width defined by an inboard plane and an outboard plane. A movable panel with an inboard edge and an outboard edge is coupled to the underbody portion. An actuator is coupled to the movable panel and configured to actuate the movable panel between a stowed position and a deployed position. In the deployed position the outboard edge projects outboard of the outboard plane of the track width, and in the stowed position the outboard edge is retracted within the outer periphery of the underbody portion. A controller is configured to, in response to an operating condition being satisfied during a drive cycle, control the actuator to actuate the movable panel from the stowed position to the deployed position.
