Publication number: 20190160297Abstract: A wearable cardioverter defibrillator (WCD) system according to embodiments is configured to be worn by an ambulatory patient, and to sense ECG signals of the patient. The WCD system includes a processor that extracts heart rate values from the ECG signals. If a heart rate value exceeds a decision threshold then, for subsequent heart rate values, the decision threshold may be lowered for administering a certain shock to the patient. In some embodiments the lowering is due to a cancel input being received, an intermediate shock having been administered, and so on. In some embodiments the decision threshold is lowered only temporarily. This may help with detecting a tachycardic event, and in particular with preventing the inhibiting of detecting such an event, as the patient's heart rate during such events may decrease while the heart's condition is deteriorating.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 21, 2018Publication date: May 30, 2019Inventor: Jaeho Kim

Publication number: 20190160339Abstract: Virtual reality and communicative sensing devices may be applied to immersive and interactive exercise. Systems and methods may be used to capture a user's movements during exercise and use captured movement information to update sensory stimuli presented to the user via a head mounted display to create an illusion of being immersed in a virtual environment in which the user can interact. This movement information may be captured using an internet of things (IoT) sensor attached to, in communication with, or integrated into exercise equipment being operated by the user. The IoT sensor may identify exercise type, count the number of repetitions, and assess the quality of the exercise being performed by the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 29, 2018Publication date: May 30, 2019Inventors: Mi Zhang, Taiwoo Park, Biyi Fang

Publication number: 20190160341Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a golf ball travelling a great flight distance on driver shots, having enhanced controllability on approach shots under a wet condition, and being excellent in stain resistance and shot feeling. The present invention provides a golf ball comprising a golf ball body having a cover, and a paint film covering the golf ball body, wherein a 10% elastic modulus of the paint film is 75 kgf/cm2 or less, a storage modulus (E?150) at 150° C. of the paint film obtained by measuring dynamic viscoelasticity of the paint film is 1.0×107 Pa or more, an indentation depth of the paint film measured with a nanoindenter in a state that the paint film is formed on the surface of the golf ball body is 1250 nm or more, and a material hardness of the cover is 50 or more in Shore D hardness.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 28, 2018Publication date: May 30, 2019Applicant: Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd.Inventors: Toshiyuki TARAO, Mami TANAKA, Hidetaka INOUE

Publication number: 20190160342Abstract: A resin composition for golf balls is made of (A) polyurethane or polyurea and (B) a styrene resin material, component (B) being included in an amount of 0.5 to 50 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of component (A). In a golf ball having a core and a cover of one or more layer encasing the core, at least one cover layer is formed of this resin composition. The resin composition is especially useful as a golf ball cover material because the ball does not fly too far and is easier to control on approach shots, yet does not sacrifice distance on shots with a driver.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 9, 2018Publication date: May 30, 2019Applicant: Bridgestone Sports Co., Ltd.Inventors: Katsunobu MOCHIZUKI, Masahiro YAMABE
