Abstract: A skate boot comprising an outer shell including medial and lateral side portions for facing the medial and lateral sides of the foot. Each of the medial and lateral side portions has an upper edge. The skate boot also comprises a lace member mounted to either of the upper edges of the medial and lateral side portions. The lace member has at least one opening for receiving an insert. The lace member has a first flexion mode when no insert is received in the at least one opening and a second flexion mode when the insert is received in the at least one opening. The second flexion mode is different from the first flexion mode.

Abstract: A system for measuring and controlling foot temperature. The system comprises a heating or cooling device including one or more sealed fluidic pathways having a cooling or heating fluid therein and disposed in or on an article of footwear or a sock. A pumping device coupled to the heating or cooling device is configured to circulate the fluid in the one or more sealed fluidic pathways. A heat exchanger coupled to the heating or cooling device is configured to remove or add heat from or to the fluid in the one or more sealed fluidic pathways. A controller coupled to the pumping device and the heat exchanger is configured to control the pumping device and the heat exchanger to cool or heat a foot located inside the article of footwear or the sock.

Abstract: A shoe, which is light and capable of improving cushioning properties and a thrust force occurring upon push off without sacrificing comfort to wear, has a simple structure and can be mass-produced. The shoe is provided with: a shoe body into which a foot is inserted; a hard plate which covers a necessary area on a bottom side of the shoe body in a length direction and is fixed to the bottom side of the shoe body only at a necessary location including a position of a front foot part; and cushion materials which are attached to both end parts of a ground contact side of the hard plate in the length direction.

Abstract: A disposable waterproof bootsock is worn over foot and sock to protect from exposure to liquids, dirt and other contaminants in an environment that can penetrate footwear or reach above the ankle. The bootsock is secured about the wearer's calf and ankle using fasteners that accommodate a range of calf and ankle sizes and allow adjustment to the wearer's desired fit while maintaining the bootsock in position upright. One or more sealed compartments are provided to hold essential supplies.

The sock-like structure may be knitted and may be a unitary construction such that one portion folds over another portion. Separately formed attachments may include parts of the sole, liners, decorative elements, cording, and structural supports which may be located between the layers of the sock-like structure. The attachments may be molded and conformed into shape directly on to the sock-like structure.

Several shoe eyelet structures are provided on an upper side between a shoe toe portion and a shoe throat portion of the flexible substrate. One end of the shoe eyelet structure is fixedly connected to the flexible substrate, and the shoe eyelet structure protrudes from the flexible substrate and is suspended so as to be penetrated by a shoe lace and adjust the degree of tightness of the flexible substrate. Such a shoe is comfortable and is easy to manufacture.

Abstract: A cord lock includes various components used to slidably adjust a cord length, such as one or more housing components that releasably clamp around the cord. In one aspect, the cord lock includes an arrangement of magnets that bias the cord-lock housing components away from one another, in order to secure the cord between the housing components. The housing components can be pressed towards one another to slidably adjust the cord. In a further aspect, the cord lock may also include a magnetized excess-cord retainer that attaches to a portion of the cord and that releasably attaches to the cord lock in order to help gather excess cord pulled through the cord lock.

Abstract: A roughing system includes a roughing machine and an imaging apparatus. The roughing machine roughs an upper of a shoe along a path to form a rough trace thereon. The imaging apparatus includes a camera module and a processing module. The camera module is moved parallel to the path and repeatedly captures an image of a portion of the upper having a segment of the rough trace thereon each time when one of a first condition that the camera module has been moved by a predetermined length and a second condition that the camera module has been moved for a predetermined time duration is satisfied. The processing module receives the images respectively of different portions of the upper that are sequentially captured by the camera module, and is configured to generate a panoramic image based on the images.

Abstract: Disclosed is a belt buckle including a surround and an ornamental plate arranged in an interior space defined by the surround. The ornamental plate is connected to the surround by a pivot that allows the ornamental plate to be reversed within the surround. The buckle includes a lock to hold the ornamental plate in position with respect to the surround in a first position that exposes a first face of the ornamental plate via an open upper face of the surround, and in a second position that exposes a second face of the ornamental plate via the open upper face of the surround. The lock includes a first element projecting along an edge face of the ornamental plate and a second element projecting on an interior edge of the surround and which are configured to lock together mechanically. Also disclosed is a belt including such a buckle.

The retaining member has a positioning portion disposed on an end thereof and a retaining body disposed on another end thereof. Therefore, the retaining portion can be restricted by the bottom side surface of the at least one retaining block and can be movably retained on a predetermined plane without being changed by a change of the adjustable angle.

Abstract: A bag is disclosed. The present invention provides an easy and convenient way to transport a folding lawn chair, with or without an umbrella. It is a bag that opens butterfly style, allowing users to place the folded chair on the bag and then to fasten the bag around the chair. This manipulation alleviates the struggle associated with shimmying a folded chair into a standard carrying bag. It also saves a considerable amount of time and frustration. The present invention can include an umbrella holder on the side in case of inclement weather and a shoulder strap for added convenience.
