  • Patent number: 10308361
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate generally to a reservoir (40) that is easily removed from a grey water flush system. The reservoir is made modular so that rather than removing an entire reservoir/pump/circuitry system, the reservoir (40) can be separately removed from the system. The reservoir can also be made disposable, which can save cleaning and refurbishment costs. This can also increase turn-around time for maintenance of the system.

  • Patent number: 10308365
Abstract: Disclosed is a high-power electric motor and its fabrication technology. The motor and its distributed power electronics are all being fully integrated in a conventional turbofan engine. The rotor drives directly (with no gears) the LP shaft of the jet engine while requiring minimal modification to a basic jet engine and without distortion to the nacelle geometry. In principle such a configuration should be suitable for a power level of 10 to 50 MW, which makes it fully capable of providing a standard flight envelope by only using electric energy.

  • Patent number: 10308370
Abstract: An inexpensive stall warning device for the instrument panel of an airplane or glider operates on the principle of balancing dynamic pressure against normal acceleration forces. It requires only static and pitot pressure inputs and electric power and employs a differential pressure transducer, MEMS rate gyros and accelerometers. • Patent number: 10308371
Abstract: A system and related method for managing images generated by a combined vision system (CVS) and displayed by an aircraft via an onboard PFD HDD, HUD, or HWD includes combining sensor image streams of an enhanced vision system (EVS) with navigation and terrain symbology generated by a synthetic vision system (SVS) to optimize the useful information displayed at any given point. Areas corresponding to prescribed visual references (approach lighting, runways and runway markers) that must be identified via pure EVS under certain conditions may be excluded from the SVS visual channels so that only a pure EVS channel of the excluded areas is displayed. The CVS may include edge filtering to remove unimportant terrain features and emphasize ridgelines. The CVS may display a full field of view for all selected visual channels or sensors, and optionally indicate where fields of view overlap.

  • Patent number: 10308373
Abstract: The present invention proposes a cap having a collar portion with three or more contact regions arranged to contact the end of a fastener around which the collar portion is provided, the collar portion having a lobed shape in cross-section such that an outwardly projecting lobe extends between each neighboring pair of contact regions. An advantage of this lobed arrangement is that the cap can tolerate relatively large manufacturing tolerances at the fastener end. For example, the cap may be for fitting over a nut or fastener head, with the contact regions of the cap being arranged to contact corresponding contact regions on a cylindrical collar base portion of the nut or fastener head. The diameter of this cylindrical collar portion may not be well controlled, so that the manufacturing tolerance is high.

  • Patent number: 10308399
Abstract: A liquid bottle or container, such as for liquid detergent, and corresponding cap and cup is disclosed for operation in a horizontal position with the cap and cup side wall substantially parallel to the ground, the cap and cup shape providing a built-in drip collector cavity positioned around a portion of the circumference or perimeter of the cap and cup rim on the open end of the cap. The cap and cup may be used to cover a nozzle or other valve dispenser during storage. The drip collector cavity has a volume sufficient to collect liquid residue remaining after normal use of the cap as a measuring and dispensing cup, and any post-use drops from the dispenser nozzle. Thus, the cap and cup of the present disclosure is dripless or nearly drip less. In an embodiment, at least a portion of the cap rim perimeter around which no built-in drip collector cavity is positioned is shaped as a pouring spout.

  • Patent number: 10308401
Abstract: A food storage unit provides a container and a cover which use an interference fit to snap the cover onto the container. The two engage with each other by a first lip (of the container) and a second lip (of the cover). The lips are configured to have an obtuse angle of 95 degrees, helping to create a better fit between the two. The second lip deforms when placed over the first lip; the resulting pressure and friction helps to seal the cover to the container. To help create a more secure attachment, a latching member is connected to the second lip. The latching member is positioned just below the first lip, such that the cover cannot be lifted straight up until a person manually moves the latching member away from the first lip. This helps prevent the cover from accidentally coming loose from the container.
