Abstract: The no ties shoe insole system provides a removable shoe insole having a storage compartment and method for retaining shoelaces therein. The no ties shoe insole may comprise a top portion, bottom portion, lace holes, and a plurality of hook and loop type fasteners strategically placed nearest the lace holes and inside the main shoelace storage compartment. The no ties shoe insole may be opened from the top, thereby revealing a convenient compartment for storing the original shoelaces inside the heel portion of the insole. This allows an efficient way for allowing shoes to have the ability to slide on and off without the need for tying the shoelaces.

Abstract: A clipless cycling shoe having an upper and a base plate. The base plate has a medial portion, a lateral portion and a medial sidewall. The medial portion has a rigid support structure having a top portion and a bottom portion, a cavity is formed between the top portion and bottom portion, wherein the cavity is filled with a core material. The lateral portion has a lateral plate. The medial sidewall wrap is adjacent the medial portion and extends outward and upward relative to the base plate and the medial sidewall wrap extends a portion of the length of the base plate. The medial portion is desirably thicker than the lateral portion.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing an article of footwear includes disposing a first polymer sheet and a second polymer sheet in a mold assembly, and disposing a preformed unitary outsole in the mold assembly adjacent the second polymer sheet. The method includes closing the mold assembly to compress the first and second polymer sheets and the outsole, and thermally bonding the first and second polymer sheets to one another in the mold assembly to form a cushioning component with a chamber, a top wall, a bottom wall, a medial side wall, and a lateral side wall. A bottom portion of the outsole is thermally bonded to the bottom wall, a medial side portion of the outsole is thermally bonded to the medial side wall, and a lateral side portion of the outsole is thermally bonded to the lateral side wall.

A toe-end seam extending from a throat on a medial side of the article of footwear provides a seaming option. An acute-angle indentation on a lateral side of the throat allows the article of footwear to conform to a wearer's traditional foot. A heel-end seam having adjacent inner surfaces of medial and lateral portions of the upper may also be included to convert the flat pattern upper to a dimensional article of footwear that conforms to the wearer's traditional foot.

The position sensing assembly prevents tightening of the strand when the strand is meant to be loosened.

In an example, the sensor system includes a capacitive sensor configured to sense changes in a capacitance signal in response to proximity of a body. A dielectric member can be provided between the capacitive sensor and the body to enhance an output signal from the sensor.

Abstract: An article of footwear has a sole assembly that is further comprised of a chassis, a reinforcing member and a forefoot plate. The reinforcing member includes lateral and medial forefoot portions that fit with corresponding recesses in the forefoot plate and the reinforcing member in the forefoot region of the chassis. The reinforcing member includes a central portion that figs with a corresponding recess in the heel region of the chassis. The chassis and the forefoot plate include ridges on their outer surfaces. Cleats extending from ridges in the forefoot of the chassis are vertically aligned with protrusions on ridges in the forefoot plate. The protrusions can help diffuse forces applied by the cleats against the inner components of the sole and foot to reduce point loading.

Abstract: Woven and knit substrates having juxtaposed notches with finished edges are disclosed. Such substrates can be used as opposed fastener tapes and fastener elements can be formed, woven, or otherwise added to the opposed fastener tapes in a known fashion. The notched fastener tapes permit the resulting slide fastener to be curved in-plane without buckling either of the opposed the fastener tapes out-of-plane. The finished edges maintain structural integrity of the woven or knit substrates, in stark context to prior art substrates having cut notches. Also disclosed are panelized substrates having curved apertures and incorporating disclosed slide fasteners.

Abstract: A method for creating a jewelry ring made of multiple stacked rings that are counter-rotatable with respect to each other. Using precise CNC machining, two ring blanks are formed to have complimentary shaped bearing ends that interlock with each other to prevent axial dislocation, but also provide complimentary bearings so that the rings are counter-rotatable to each other. These ring blanks are sized relative to each other so that after being formed, they can be aligned at their complimentary ends and the smaller ring enlarged to snap into the larger ring. The method also requires precise interior diameter smoothing and post-processing, so that the slight separation between the two stacked ring blanks cannot be felt by the wearer. A two-ring and a three-ring version are fully disclosed, but by logical extension this method can be used to make any number of stacked rings.

Abstract: A device for table elevation includes: two decorative covers; two guiding bases connected by a connecting rod and each having four fixed sides; plural guide bearings provided in pairs, each pair arranged opposite, and at an angle with respect to, each other; two guide posts having plural guided sides corresponding in number and position to the fixed sides, the guided sides being in contact with the guide bearings so that the guide posts can slide with respect to the guiding bases respectively, the guide bearings abutting against the guided sides in the aforesaid pairs; two driving units each including an elevating rod; and a tabletop with a guide post fixing base fixed at the top ends of the guide posts and of the elevating rods so as to move vertically with the elevating rods and the guide posts while the decorative covers and the guide posts stay vertical and stable.
