  • Patent number: 10323797
Abstract: During the production of consumable liquids such as milk, soup, and juice, the liquid consumable may be transferred from one location to another location through a fluid conduit. For example, a consumable liquid may be transferred from a storage tank to another destination through piping. At the end of the process, the piping may be purged with a flushing fluid to push the liquid consumable remaining in the piping to the end destination, thus preventing the volume of liquid remaining in the piping from being wasted. To control the flushing processing, fluid flowing through the piping may be fluorometrically analyzed to determine a concentration of product in the fluid. The flushing liquid can then be controlled based on the determined concentration. For example, the supply of flushing liquid may be terminated when the concentration of product falls below a threshold, indicating the flushing liquid is diluting the liquid consumable.

Abstract: A system and method for controlling delivery of gas, including a gas pipeline network having at least one gas production plant, at least one gas receipt facility of a customer, a plurality of pipeline segments, and a plurality of control elements, one or more controllers, and one or more processors. The hydraulic feasibility of providing an increased flow rate of the gas to the gas receipt facility of the customer is determined using a linearized pressure drop model. A latent demand of the customer for the gas is estimated using a latent demand model. Based on the hydraulic feasibility and the latent demand, a new gas flow request rate from the customer is received. A network flow solution is calculated based on the new gas flow request rate. The network flow solution is associated with control element setpoints used by a controller to control one or more control elements.

  • Patent number: 10323799
Abstract: A light-emitting diode (LED) filament with a heat-dissipating structure includes multiple LED chips, multiple conductive carriers and a package layer. Each conductive carrier takes the form of a metal sheet and the multiple conductive carriers are spaced apart from each other. Each LED chip is commonly carried by and is electrically connected to two of the multiple conductive carriers adjacent to the LED chip. The package layer covers the multiple LED chips and the multiple conductive carriers with two lateral edge portions of each conductive carrier exposed from the package layer. The LED filament is mounted inside a light bulb. Because the multiple conductive carriers are partially exposed from the package layer, heat generated by the multiple LED chips can be dissipated to an ambient environment without affecting lighting efficiency and light output as a result of accumulated heat.
