Abstract: A seat recliner for a vehicle may include: a fixing flange provided with multiple guide parts spaced apart from each other and having a guide groove formed along a locus having a predetermined distance from a center axis; and a rotary cam mounted on a center portion of the fixing flange, rotating about the center axis to press a locking gear such that the locking gear slides along the guide parts. In particular, the rotary cam includes: a first protrusion formed on a mount surface of the rotary cam, which is coming into contact with the fixing flange when mounted; and a second protrusion formed on a surface opposite to the mount surface and capable of engaging with a control plate. When the first protrusion is inserted into the guide groove, the guide groove guides a rotation of the rotary cam.

Abstract: Embodiments of a car seat include an outer protective shell, an inner seat, a suspension system connecting and permitting relative movement between the inner seat and the outer protective shell. The suspension system may include a plurality of deformable webs. Also, at least one padding element may be in contact with and interposed between the outer protective shell and the inner seat. In an accident, regardless of the direction in which the seat is facing and regardless of whether the result is a sudden acceleration and/or deceleration, the inner seat will move inside the frame, and the suspension system will absorb some, much, or all of the energy either by elastic or plastic deformation. Energy not absorbed by the suspension system may be absorbed by the inner seat itself and/or an anchor system used to connect the car seat to a vehicle.

Abstract: A pneumatic seat support by itself supports a seat above a floor of a vehicle. The pneumatic seat support has upper and lower air chambers. The lower air chamber is a rigid cylindrical tube. The upper air chamber is a flexible cylindrical bellows, with a diameter greater than the diameter of the tube. Three or more linear shafts extending through the upper air chamber and into the lower air chamber provide a single-degree-of-freedom bearing support structure that allows vertical motion of the seat but withstands horizontal loads on the seat. When the seat moves vertically downward, it compresses air in both chambers, providing a seat support system with a natural oscillation frequency which is less than 2.4 Hz, and preferably in the range of 1.5-2.2 Hz.

The pelvis movement suppression member is disposed at a seat upper side of a seat front side of a seat cushion, extends in a seat width direction, and is movable in a seat front-rear direction relative to a frame of the seat cushion. The moving mechanism moves the pelvis movement suppression member from an initial position to a restraining position at a seat rear side relative to the initial position. When a collision is detected or predicted, the control section activates the moving mechanism and moves the pelvis movement suppression member to the restraining position.
