Abstract: Provided is a seat-cover fitting structure capable of preventing a seat cover from accidentally separating from a seat main body. In a seat-cover fitting structure 1, a resin clip 41 that is fitted to an end member 10 attached to the lower end of a hanging cotton-cloth member of a seat cover and a metal clip 50 that is fitted to the exterior of the resin clip 41 engage each other with gaps X1, X2, and X3 formed therebetween. In a state where the metal clip 50 is stuck to, by magnetic force, a main-body-side member that is embedded in the seat main body, the resin clip 41 moves with respect to the metal clip 50 within the ranges of the gaps X1, X2, and X3.

Abstract: An on-board update device and an on-board update system provided herein may prevent a decrease in the electric power charged in the battery caused by an update. An on-board update device has an update processing unit configured to update a program stored in a storage unit of a communication device. The on-board update device includes: an update information acquisition unit; a required electric power estimation unit; and a battery level acquisition unit acquires an amount of electric power charged in the battery. The update processing unit performs an update process in consideration of the amount of electric power estimated by the required electric power estimation unit, the amount of electric power acquired by the battery level acquisition unit, and a priority level of the update program or data acquired by the update information acquisition unit.

Abstract: Provided are a vehicle data readout device and a vehicle data readout method with which it is possible to reduce power consumption in a state in which a vehicle has not been activated, even if the vehicle data readout device, which receives power from an in-vehicle power source, remains connected to the vehicle. Taking as a trigger a port voltage (Vp) of a readout communication line exceeding a voltage threshold (THv), a vehicle data readout device switches a change-over switch from off to on, to generate a pull-up state by means of a pull-up resistor, and initiates a read-out of operation parameter data (Dp) by a computer.

Abstract: A vehicle bumper device includes: (i) a bumper beam formed of a continuous fiber reinforced plastic and including (a) a central portion that extends in a vehicle width direction and (b) a left-right pair of lateral portions that respectively extend from opposite ends of the central portion and curve toward a vehicle body; and (ii) bumper auxiliary portions formed of a short fiber reinforced plastic different from the continuous fiber reinforced plastic and protruding respectively from the lateral portions outward in a vehicle front-rear direction. The bumper beam defines an upper surface section, a lower surface section, a collision load receiving section that faces outward in the vehicle front-rear direction and a vehicle body attachment section that has an opening oriented toward the vehicle body, and has an approximately U-shaped cross section. The lateral portions each have at least one ridgeline defined by a surface step formed on the upper surface section or the lower surface section.

Abstract: A knitted structure is configured for heat generation and distribution. In some embodiments, the knitted structure includes a knitted fabric including a first knitted layer and a second knitted layer opposite the first knitted layer. The first knitted layer has a first thermal conductivity. The second knitted layer has a second thermal conductivity. The second thermal conductivity is greater than the first thermal conductivity to faciliate heat transfer toward the first knitted layer. The knitted structure may further include a plurality of electrodes at least partially disposed inside the knitted fabric. Each of the plurality of electrodes is configured to generate heat within the knitted fabric upon receipt of electrical energy in order to distribute heat along the knitted structure and toward the first knitted layer.
